Objective:

Professional Experience:
I hold a good 18 years of experience in the field of "Marine
Engineering". Most of its part comprises of sea going exposure
taking care of machineries and technical systems onboard various
ships in different capacities. Presently I am working as "Chief
Engineer" with MOL Tank ship Management (Asia) Pte Ltd;
Singapore.
During 2014 - 2015; I have worked ashore at Singapore for around
two years as "Vessel Manager" which had exposed with shore based
ship management experience like dry dockings and sea trial / take-
over of new vessel.

- Dry docking (First Special Survey) for two bulk carriers (with cranes) in 2014.
- Sea trial and taking over for one bulk carrier (Tsuneshi Shipyard, China). This vessel was
equipped with MAN B&W ME Type engine.

Job Description:
Holding complete responsibility for the operation of the engine room and any
maintenance of machinery onboard the vessel.
 As head of Marine Engineering on board ship, working closely with the Captain,
occasionally holding equal rank, to ensure that the physical aspect of the vessel is
completely under control.
 Working within a small team to ensure that all maintenance is completed efficiently and
in depth.
 Maintaining inventory for any spare parts, extra fuel and oil.
 To ensure that the engine room is well kept and prepared for inspection by higher
authorities.
 To determine the volume of oil, fuel and lube required for each voyage and ensure that
substantial quantities of each is on board.
 Delivering general daily operation of the engine room to their primary assistant.
 Conservation of Energy – monitoring of emissions through EEOI index and keeping
them within the specified KPI.
 Training and mentoring of subordinates.

Distinguished Sailing Experiences:
1) My sailing experience comprises of mostly oil tankers (crude and product). However, I
have brief experience on one Cape Size Bulker and one Methanol tanker also. Please

2) Experience of several dry dockings at both junior and senior levels. Please refer to my

3) Taking over of old vessels (Both as 1AE & CE) to company’s management which required
all necessary documentation, changing over of procedures as per company SMS etc.
4) Working with different nationalities and motivating all of them accordingly for a
common goal. Also, understanding different cultures, their limitations and strong
aspects.
5) Working on FRAMO hydraulic system for cargo pumping.
6) Experience of working on MAN B&W, Sulzer and UEC Engines.
7) I have done a comprehensive training on Pneumatic Maneuvering System from a
reputed training facility.
