This 2 day Fundamentals of Dynamic Positioning course will provide a comprehensive understanding of dynamic positioning systems and operations, from technical and commercial perspectives, to future industry trends.
Led by an experienced DP instructor, the course will start off with an overview of the principles and system requirements of dynamic positioning, such as redundancy, levels of control, and modes. The 7 main components
of a DP system including control systems, thrusters, position reference systems, and sensors will be examined in detail.

I hold a good 18 years of experience in the field of "Marine
Engineering". Most of its part comprises of sea going exposure
taking care of machineries and technical systems onboard various

Job Description:
Holding complete responsibility for the operation of the engine room and any
maintenance of machinery onboard the vessel.
As head of Marine Engineering on board ship, working closely with the Captain,
occasionally holding equal rank, to ensure that the physical aspect of the vessel is
completely under control.
Working within a small team to ensure that all maintenance is completed efficiently and
in depth.
Maintaining inventory for any spare parts, extra fuel and oil.
To ensure that the engine room is well kept and prepared for inspection by higher
authorities.
To determine the volume of oil, fuel and lube required for each voyage and ensure that
substantial quantities of each is on board.
Delivering general daily operation of the engine room to their primary assistant.
Conservation of Energy – monitoring of emissions through EEOI index and keeping
them within the specified KPI.
Training and mentoring of subordinates.

1) My sailing experience comprises of mostly oil tankers (crude and product). However, I

3) Taking over of old vessels (Both as 1AE & CE) to company’s management which required
all necessary documentation, changing over of procedures as per company SMS etc.
