3. INTRODUCTION
• Geothermal energy is the heat
energy of earth.
• The thermal energy contained in
the interior of the earth is called
geothermal energy.
• Geothermal powerplant convert
heat energy to electrical energy.
• The first geothermal powerplant
was built in 1904 in Tuscany,
Italy.
