This doesn’t have a route of the eye, but I think this is because he is big and well known
enough not to have one
If the photo covers the masthead it’s because the pictures draw them in, and the
magazine is well established enough to have the masthead covered.
If there is any other images on the magazines then they are called secondary photos to
also draw the audience

Remember use of costume and set and props Mise en scene
USP – unique selling point – ‘Eminem comes clean’
Language and register: it used in within the magazine and can be genre specific: slang,
informal language, gives a sense of “friend”
The register is the tone which the magazine is talking to the audience, this can be informal
chatty etc...
Iconography – the way the photo is presented in different ways:
What messages do the pictures give?
What impression is the audience meant to have?
What is the camera angles and how does this create meaning?
What is the facial expression?
How does the costume add the meaning which is created?
