- Understanding better disabled people
SPECIFIC GOALS:
- Understand better how disabled people live and their struggles in life;
- Promote social interaction with disabled people;
- Give ideas to include and support disable students;
- Value disabled people efforts.
SUGGESTIONS FOR ACTIVITIES
In the classroom :
- Cover eyes and write or draw acording to somebody’s instructions;
- Painting with the mouth;
- Watching a movie without sound;
- Gesture communication to guess messages;
- Listen to a texto of great dificulty of understanding.
PE lesson (collaboation between teachers):
Having open stations for every regular class experimente what disabled people
experimente:
- Activity related to phsical disable or brain paralesis;
-Lining up students into two paralele lines: they unbutton using thick socks ;
- Covering eyes and follow somebody else’s instructions;
- Some students live a regular lesson pretending the’re disabled: use drifters, wheel
chairs, blinded eyes, phones to reduce hearing capacity,…
…

- Surfing the net to gather information about famous disabled eople who were
successful in life
