To Whom lt May Concern:
I have the privilege of being the Principal and the supervisor for Rosa Estrada since February 201-3. I havtr
had the opportunity to observe Miss Estrada in the classroom in the content areas of science,
mathematics, language, physical education, social studies, visual arts and spanish for students between
grades three (3) to eight (S). She has often been assigned to roles of assisting students functioning
below grade level in Language Arts and Mathematics.
Rosa can organize information in the curriculum to promote student learning. She is open to suggestioni
and applies techniques and methods suggested to align with the demands of the curriculum and
strategies appropriate for her students. Her success with the students is also attributed to her strong
organizational and preparatory skills. Every lesson was well constructed, comprehensive, evaluated and
adjusted accordingly to accommodate the various learning styles to ensure the best learning experienct:
for all her students.
Rosa often creates a classroom environment in which time on learning is maximized. She circulates
among her students during guided and independent practice to assess and give feedback. She is willing
to provide individual and small group instruction as indicated by informal and formal assessments.
Miss Estrada utilizes verbal and nonverbal classroom management strategies that illustrate her high
regard for student dignity. She cultivates a learning climate of mutual respect and rapport. She is
effective and positive in helping students to develop appropriate classroom behavior by reflecting her
expectations in her own personal behavior. Her attitude lends an air of spontaneity while her
authoritarian control keeps the conversation directly within the learning plan. Rosa can see the end ancl
work diligently towards it.
I am confident that Rosa would excel within the capacity of any classroom, welcoming its considerable
challenges and interacting with members of the organization. She was a remarkable teacher and a
pleasure to work with. Therefore, I have no doubt that she will be a great resource and valuable asset
to your school environment.
