3. Leonardo da Vinci
- Was born on April 15, 1452.
- He was a son of a lawyer and a peasant.
- He love to examine the formation of rocks and to
follow the courses of rivers.
- He captivated by the flowers, faces and flying
birds.
- He also excelled in mathematics and loved
drawings and modeling figures in clay.
7. Leonardo da Vinci
- Around the age of 14, he was the star pupil of
renowned painter and sculptor Andrea del
Verrocchio.
- Learned from Verrocchio different techniques and
remained with him until da Vinci was 25 years
old.
- Also known for his unconventional ways: he
dissected corpes and made the first drawing of an
unborn child and a series of anatomical sketches.

landscape and discovered the colors of shadows;
not much later, he developed chiaroscuro.

- Was born on March 6, 1475 in Caprese, Italy.
- He loved to carve in marble.
- He worked day and night, learning to draw
and to cut stone.
- At the age of 13, he was a pupil of
Ghirlandaio, one of the most successful
painters in Florence.

- Decorated the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.In
1512he completed it, which will be the cornerstone
of the high renaissance art.

- At age of 11, his talents were already
much talked about.
- At the age of 16, he entered the
studio of Pietro Perugrino, one of the
most honored painters in Italy.
