2. Nanoparticles are solid, colloidal particles ranging 10-
1000nm, consisting of macromolecular materials in which
active ingredient is dissolved/ entrapped/ encapsulated/
absorbed/ attached.

3. Formulation of nanoparticles
Polymers:
1) Natural, 2) Semi-Synthetic, 3) Synthetic

4. Semisynthetic polymers:
• Pseudolatexes/ artificial latexes obtained form
dispersion of preformed polymers.
Ex: pseudo latexes of ethylcellulose, CAP etc.,
• These are used in preparation of nanocapsules.
