Roger is very good at what he does!
Having not had a coaching experience coming into contact with Roger, he
was quick to allay my fears and suspicions by assuring a secure and
confidential space. I have really appreciated his personality; he is neither
abrasive nor patronizing, I have felt respected and I’ve had a friend in him.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the coaching relationship is not
designed to be a counselling or therapy arrangement! The coaching sessions
were conversational where my thoughts, opinions and feelings were held as
valid. He often invited me to introspect and thereafter challenge myself in light
of the growing degree of holistic self-awareness to take practical steps
towards my goals and aspirations.
Through regular self-reflection (I especially appreciated the idea of picking
up emotional cues to decipher thoughts, motions and processes running at a
‘subconscious’ level) and some practical tools I acquired from the coaching,
I have learned how to prioritize tasks and activities in my currently very
busy life. I am more in control of my schedule and more in tune with myself.
