Sales Solution Office (SSO) Germany<br />Stellenbeschreibung<br />Jobtitle: Senior Solution Architect 002049 <br />Reports to:Director PreSales Location:Dreieich<br />Overview:<br />The Configuration Strategist provides pre-sales configuration support within the Sales Solution Office (SSO) for direct / indirect sales business in Germany. Maintains an expert level knowledge of HDS solutions and configuration requirements to satisfy customer needs. He especially is focusing selling File & Server /UCP, to add great value to for the customer. Works closely with field sales and other SSO/DOC personnel (Pricing Strategists, Commercial Manager and Sales Support) to achieve responsiveness and configuration accuracy SLA’s. <br />By considering the market changes he develops and adjusts special “Standard CONFIG Package for File&Server/UCP (SCPF&S)”. Proactively communicates and educates the “SCPF&S” into the Channel /Distributor organization (offer process team) as well as into the HDS organization (Channel Account Manager (IAM) and Channel /Distributor Manager)<br />Responsibilities:<br />in conjunction with requester Team he/she is responsible for file & server/UCP solution creation and planningg and configuration within Insight while meeting configuration responsiveness and accuracy SLA’s.<br />By focusing on File &Server/UCP he/she maintains an expert level knowledge of HDS solutions, product components and configuration requirements.<br />Knowledge sharing of equal or similar projects between field sales, to avoid new development of already existing solutions<br />Assist to standardize and simplify file & server/UCP configuration requests and processes. <br />Understand a customer’s environment and customer needs and support the TAM / Salesperson to develop the customer’s file&server/UCP and storage strategy.<br />Assist the design of standardize and scalable HDS solutions to represent the optimum technical solution for a customer’s business applications.<br />Assist when appropriate in the completion of proposals for HDS Solutions, focusing on file&server/UCP and storage solutions<br />Communicate impact and performance characteristics of file&server/UCP configuration and storage to field sales.<br />Work with field sales personnel to proactively identify issues, develop recommendations and implement file&server/UCP and storage solutions to increase field sales productivity.<br />Maintain inventory awareness and advice projected lead times together with EDC to sales teams.<br />Maintain technical competence and awareness of market developments focusing on . file&server/UCP<br />Proactively communicate with field sales districts to uncover changing business needs, opportunities or issues of concern.<br />Proactively communicate with other Configuration Strategists and Pricing Strategists to uncover changes in requirements and to distribute job related information.<br />Maintain a close working relationship with all DOC/Sales Solution Office personnel and other German Field Sales/Finance colleagues.<br />Assist with the early adoption of new product technologies by including file&server/UCP solution components within configurations whenever applicable.<br />Primary Qualifications and Experience: <br />Minimum of five (5) years experience directly related to IT systems and data storage issues, especially in file & server environment<br />Prior SE, GSS, CS&S experience is preferred.<br />Skills and Attributes:<br />Must have strong file& server knowledge /backround<br />Must have strong background in supporting field sales personnel. <br />Thorough knowledge of storage industry and customer requirements.<br />Must have excellent understanding of HDS products and configuration requirements coupled with a full understanding of HDS sales support tools.<br />Learning through on-going training provided by the company and also by self-learning<br />Ability to effectively communicate and share information with peers and all levels of the organization.<br />Self motivator who demonstrates drive and initiative.<br />Language capability in German and English.<br />
