Integrity and Work Ethics
INTEGRITY
• Integrity is defined as the unity of thought word, honesty
and open mindedness.
• It includes the capacity to communicate the factual
information so that others can make well-informed
decisions.
• It yields the person’s ‘peace of mind’, and hence adds
strength and consistency in character, decisions, and
actions.
• It is one of the self-direction virtues.

• It enthuse people not only to execute a job well but to
achieve excellence in performance.
• It helps them to own the responsibility and earn self-
respect and recognition by doing the job.
• Honesty and integrity are essential for the development of
trust. It leads to consistency of character and operation in
different situations and contexts.
• Diversity and Inclusion
Creating and maintaining an environment in which all
employees are treated with respect and differences are highly
valued.
• Safety, Health and the Environment
Committed to practices that generate safe workplace actions,
conditions and procedures, and we continually work to
develop and maintain a safe and healthy operating
environment.
• Product Safety and Quality
Committed to design, engineer and manufacture products
that meet or exceed all applicable laws, regulations,
voluntary standards and industry practices.
INTEGRITY POLICY
• Company Property and Information
 Company records, property, technical information,
communications and business opportunities constitute
valuable assets that can be critical to performance and
competitive advantage.
 These materials are the property of the company and like all
assets should be safeguarded against misuse or
misappropriation and used only to further business
objectives.
• Books, Records and Filings
Employees are required to keep accurate records and provide
full, fair, accurate, timely and understandable disclosures in
the periodic reports filed by the company with regulators and
in our public communications.

• Intellectual Property, Confidentiality and Privacy
 Inventions, ideas and other forms of intellectual property
are a vital part of success.
 As a result, we are diligent about protecting valuable
company technology through patents, trade secret
protection, copyrights, trademarks etc.
• Insider Trading
By protecting confidential and proprietary information
from unauthorized disclosure, we not only protect valuable
company assets and also help ensure compliance with
insider trading laws.

• Conflicts of Interest
Employees should avoid conflicts between personal and company
interests.
• Fair Dealing and Competition
 We seek to compete strongly and deal fairly.
 We avoid taking unfair advantage through manipulation, theft,
concealment, abuse of confidential information, misrepresentation
or other unfair practices.
• International Business and Governmental Regulations
It is expected that all employees, including agents and
representatives of company, will comply with all applicable laws
in every country in which company does business, with all
applicable laws against discrimination, harassment, laws
prohibiting child and forced labor.

• Work ethics is defined as a set of attitudes concerned with the value
of work, which forms the motivational orientation.
• The ‘work ethics’is aimed at ensuring the
 economy - get job, create wealth, earn salary
 productivity - wealth, profit
 safety - in workplace
 health and hygiene - working conditions
 privacy - raise family
 Security - permanence against contractual, pension, and
retirement benefits
 cultural and social development - leisure, hobby, and happiness
 welfare - social work
 environment - anti-pollution activities
WORK ETHICS
• Organizational environment should foster ethical decision
making by institutionalizing ethics. This means applying ethical
concepts in daily action.
• This can be accomplished in three ways:
(a) by establishing an appropriate company policy or a code
of ethics
(b) by using a formally appointed ethics committee
(c) by teaching ethics in management development programs.
• Indian work-ethos of life believe that all works, be it physical or
mental, management, leadership, and administration have to be
directed towards a single purpose.

Advantages:
• By work ethics duties to the self, family, society, and nation are
fulfilled.
• Rights of the individuals are respected and nourished.
• Values and virtues are cultivated and enjoyed by all human
beings.
• Further, the quality of life is improved and the environment
protected.
• On the other hand, unemployment and under-employment lead
to frustration, social tensions, and occasional militancy.
• For a developing economy and society like ours, we need to
promote work ethics at all levels to flourish as developed nation.
