Richard Ward received a mid-year performance review covering the period from 2015 to 2016. For most objectives, his performance was rated as exceeding expectations. For one objective related to reviewing records desk files, his performance was not assessed as he had not yet had the opportunity to demonstrate it. I have now become the administrator for the BI Portal training site. It has been my role to
listen and help users work through solutions. I continually keep in contact, to ensure that
changes are being implemented correctly and the trainers have the support they need. I
received positive feedback via e-mail that was forwarded to the Leadership Team.

My role within the Paper Records process has changed significantly, as I have needed to
adapt my role to meet business needs. I now act in more of a support capacity for the
Records Assistants who carry out the work. My main task for the mid-year is to review the
records desk file, and help them amend the material, before uploading into the Source.

I continue to provide high quality BAU support for the Source. I regularly engage with
users, and together we agree effective solutions. I have been involved in discussions to
improve the induction process, but I want to help contribute to the Source training material
when we have another permanent member of staff on our team.

I am now actively involved in the OAG internal projects meetings and provide insight into
the features we use within the Source. This has helped with the Document Centre
Improvement Plan (DCIP). I also test enhancements made to the Source by external
vendors.

Due to resourcing issues within the ISG team, I have needed to become more involved in
project work.
When I am engaging with staff I get lots of queries that relate to IT Service Desk, which I
will always try to resolve. If required, I will seek support from Service Desk to get this issue
resolved effectively and efficiently.

Employee comments:
I have needed to be very adaptable this mid-year to ensure that the team
have been well supported, while we continue to work towards our 90 day
business plans. I feel I have maintained the high quality of the work I
produce, and gained a lot more knowledge about the systems we use.
Manager comments:
The first half of the year has been an extremely challenging one, as the
implementation of 90-day plans and the departure of Rob and Jenn have
both meant that Richard’s workload and areas of responsibility have grown
considerably. This has also meant that there has not been time to be
involved with some anticipated projects on his original plan.

Richard has risen extremely well to the challenge of increased workload
and responsibility. He has been flexible in juggling his work and his
responsibilities as our primary Source point of contact. He has also had
the chance to demonstrate the huge body of knowledge he has developed
around our build of the Source and how it works, which has been
invaluable.
Despite the ongoing challenge of not having sufficient time to provide more
help to the business, Richard has displayed ongoing patience, persistence
and energy. This has been evidenced by the frequent positive comments
that I receive about Richard’s performance.
Richard has had an excellent start to the year, and is a great asset to the
team.
