Richard Rinaolo is an entrepreneur/businessman who has worked in the real estate, construction, and venture capital industries. A resident of Dallas, Texas, Richard Rinaolo is a member of the Circus Fans of America. The American-style circus began in the United States after the War of 1812. Joshua Purdy Brown was credited with introducing the new format. The “Second Great Awakening” was an era marked by religious revivalism. During this time, the leaders of Wilmington, Delaware, prohibited public amusements in the city. To circumvent the law, Joshua Purdy Brown moved his show to the outskirts of the city and erected a canvas tent to enclose the event. This was ideal for people who lived on the edges of town. Circuses spread after the introduction of the Transcontinental Railroad in May 1869. PT Barnum took this idea a step further when he organized a 100-wagon traveling circus, menagerie, museum, and caravan. Thus, the American circus began with creativity and innovation.
