2. Solid shapes
Solid shapes are three dimensional. Three-dimensional shape can be
defined as a figure or an object or that has three dimensions length,
width and height. Unlike two dimensional shapes, three-dimensional
shapes have thickness or depth.
3. Solid shapes
The attributes of a three-dimensional figure are surfaces/faces,
edges and vertices/vertex.
For example: This is a cube and it’s a solid shape. We will look at
some more solid shapes later in this lesson.
11. Now we are going to create a model of a
cube and cuboid.
You will need cardboards, glue, scissors, ruler, pencil and some explanations from me.
12. The properties of a cylinder
The cylinder has 2 flat faces, 1 curved
face and two edges. The cylinder has
no vertices.

our surroundings that looks
like a cylinder.
For example, a can of soup. Try
your best to find objects that
has the properties of a cylinder.

The sphere has no edges and
vertices.
The sphere has one curved face.
It looks like a ball.
I’m sure everyone knows what a ball
looks like.
