9. Statement of the Problem
Nowadays, the common problem we encounter is the pollution caused by the smoke emitted by the
automobiles. According to statistics almost 40% of Filipino, owned different types of Vehicle such as
motorcycle, cars, vans, jeepney and etc. Because of this situation the researcher come up to a solution, to
resolve these problems, engineers and scientist held hands to conduct researches for a greener yet competent
combustion engine that society can use. Such studies emphasize on the development of fuel like HHO.
Although an HHO generator is a technology that is often misunderstood, due to earlier studies conducted by
many researchers, it becomes a fascinating subject especially in automotive industry. It works with the
principle of electrolysis that separate water into its base molecules two hydrogen and one oxygen. The HHO
gas is not a substitute to gasoline but it will only serve as a stabilizer to increase the efficiency of the engine.

11. Significance of the Study
This study shows knowledge and information which mainly contributes to the certain industry in the
Philippines. This shall formerly head start a scientific approach in establishing the significant properties of
HHO in Mechanical industry. The verdicts of this study will redound to the benefit of the society
especially in Automotive industry since the study focuses on how to enhance gasoline engines efficiency.

12. The study shall also give insight on how to minimize pollution. It aims to interchange
unhealthy source of energy (gasoline) and seek eventual alternative way (HHO) to eliminate
harmful gas emission that reckons up global warming and endangers peoples’ health and
threatens other basic human needs.
The researchers conducted this study mainly because they want to have a contribution on
the development of the Industry they are pertaining on this study. The goal was also to have a
better idea on how to save the worst situation we are experiencing at this moment because of
the global warming.

14. The research will be conducted in a laboratory setting to make sure no harm will be done or will be affected.
By the help of the set parameters the researcher will be able to identify the effectivity of the research they are
conducting. Since this will be done in a laboratory setting below are the list of data gathering procedure need to
conduct in order to achieve and know if the HHO gas is an effective fuel booster:
