8. Electric Fan
It is an AC Motor connected to the 60 Hz power source
which converts electrical energy to mechanical energy
in order to generate a moving air.
10. PERFORMING PRE-TESTING OF AN ELECTRIC FAN
Determine what the problem really is.
Perform preliminary inspection to locate where the problem
originated
Perform closer inspection into the suspected defective parts or
components.

What to do?
1.Check the outlet
2.Check for an open AC cord or wiring
3.Check for an open Thermal Fuse
4.Check for an open speed selector switch
5.Check for a defective system control or motor

What to do?
14. 1. Check for any worn bearing.
2. Check loose guard mark.
3. Check loose guard fitter.
4. Check for an improperly balanced blade or broken blade.
5. Check if there is too much front to back play in the motor shaft.
6. Check for an oil and dirt build up.
7. Check if oil is sufficient.
8. Check for any improper mounting of the front and/or rear guard.
9. Check if there are loose screws.
NOISY OPERATION
What to do?
15. SAFETY PRECAUTION
Unplug from electrical supply source before cleaning.
After servicing, any safety device (including grilles and blades)
must be reinstalled or remounted as previously installed.
Use soft damp cloth then wipe with dry cloth. Do not use
harmful cleaners.
Do not bend the blades.
If the plug and supply cord are damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service agent or a suitable qualified person
in order to avoid a hazard.
