and services, which will help you achieve perfect coating heights on your steel rebar

laid out by your structural engineering staff; increase your productivity by making your

for steel rebar coating elements, making our spacers your best choice for building

achieve a total compatibility with the concrete used, feature which commonly used
plastic positioners don’t offer, in addition to these technical advantages, we have
economic factors working in our favor, mainly because you will need less units of our
positioners per square meter built.

nal attacks of gases (carbonation) and liquids on steel and concrete structures, which
in turn disturbs the normal P.H. of concrete, degrading it and finally taking the rebar’s

protective action that the concrete mass exercises on steel, on one hand the recover

Horizontal Recover Applications
Clip Mortar (CM):
• This product is one of our clients favorites, because
Atecon® is the only company in America which of-
fers an exclusive patented design of concrete on
the lower part of the spacer (allowing it to blend
seamlessly with the concrete and giving it a high
compression resistance) and a plastic clip restraint
system (which allows a quick and firm hold onto the
rebar), these two characteristic’s give this product
resistance and versatility. It works fine for horizon-
tal as well as vertical formwork applications and can
hold steel rods from ¼” up to 5/8”. Recover heights
go from 20 to 75mm.
• Another advantage of this product in comparison to
plastic or handmade spacers is that our lower ab-
scesses allow the aggregate to flow freely through
them and allow for a uniform consolidation of the
concrete around the spacer, making the Clip Mortar
invisible when the formworks are removed, saving
you time and money in patching labors. Thanks to
their high resistance to big weights you will only
need 1.5 units per square meter.

Clip Pincers (CP):
• This product works under the same parameters as
the CM, only that its special plastic clip restraint
system, allows a quick and firm hold onto mesh
wires and rods from 3mm up to ¼”, it works for both
horizontal and vertical applications (ideal for hy-
draulic construction). Coating heights range from
20mm up to 75mm. Just as in the CM series, the
CP has lower abscesses which allow the aggregate
to flow freely through them and allow for a uniform
consolidation of the concrete around the spacer,
making the Clip Pincers invisible when the for-
mworks are removed, saving you time and money
in patching labors.

Mortar Chair (MC):
• It’s mostly used for foundations, slabs and floors.
It can hold all kinds of steel rods, from thin mesh to
high caliber rebar’s, their coating height go from 20
up to 75mm. their designed to hold up great struc-
tural weight, also to handle high traffic of personnel,
loads, and even machinery, without collapsing, and
of course offering complete compatibility with the
concrete. Average consumption is about 1 and 1.5
units per square meter (half of what you would use
with plastic or handmade rebar chairs).

Vertical Recover Applications
Wheel Spacers /Positioners
(WP and WPD):
• At Atecon® we understand that insuring the correct
recovering diameters is equally important in walls,
columns and pilings as in floors and slabs, this is
why we created the WP and WPD series for these
kinds of vertical applications, the first is used for
¼” up to 5/8” steel rebar’s and the WPD series is
used when steel diameters are lower than ¼”, these
division in our references is made for assuring that
the positioner will have the best possible grip on the
metal structure, allowing for a better fit, reducing
therefore spoilage and failures of these elements
in the concrete pouring procedures while keeping
your steel structure centralized.
• Our wheel spacers are made from high quality
polypropylene, guaranteeing strength and stability
around the central axis of these elements, be-
sides our exclusive designs and quality of materials
used, allow for an auto-lockdown of these spacers
around the periphery of the rebar. They vary in ra-
dius from 25mm up to 75mm (this last diameter is
highly recommended for piling procedures).

Double Cage Bridge (DC):
• It’s the perfect solution for achieving constant re-
cover heights for double steel structure applications
(containment walls, industrialized construction sys-
tems, etc…). Their made from the same high quality
materials as our WP and WPD series, allowing the
central axis to lock down firmly on the rebar periph-
ery (auto-lockdown process) and providing excellent
impact resistance in pouring procedures. Average
consumption is about 1.5 units per square meter.
Their length ranges from 100 to 250mm and they
can accommodate rebar’s up to 3/8”.

Protective Caps (PC):
• Atecon® wants to help you insure the safety of your
personnel; this is why we developed our protective
caps made from flexible PVC, helping you prevent
common workplace accidents as cutting and pierc-
ing due to exposed ends of the rebar. In addition to
this, these elements will help avoid oxidation at the
end of the mash or rod, and the consequent color-
ing of the concrete with oxidation marks.
Snap Tie (ST):
• They act as form spreaders, allowing for a constant
distance between two form plates. Our snap ties
are made from high carbon steel, which provides
up to 2000kg in resistance, keeping the usage per
linear foot of this element low in contrast with other
similar products. The nicks on each side of the tie
will help making the job of breaking the end of them
an easy job for your workers.

Protective Holsters (PH):
• It’s a great solution for protecting the metal platens in
charge of delimitating the formwork thickness before
beginning concrete pouring procedures on walls.
• It used to be common practice to wrap these
platens in plastic bags and apply a small layer of
lubricant (diesel, kerosene) to prevent this element
from getting trapped inside the concrete structure
once the wall dried, but this method never works
at a 100% rate, and you will have your workers
exposed to flammable materials which can be ex-
tremely dangerous.
• This problem is easily solved by using our expanded
poliethilene holster, which will always work as
intended, allowing easy removal of the platens at
any time.

Accessories
Titulo: Formwork Cones (FC)
• Our plastic formwork cones serve as a guide (to-
gether with a PVC tube) for the tie rod or she bolt
(responsible for tensing your form plates) to go
through easily. Additionally because of their coni-
cal shape they prevent fresh concrete from pouring
out of your walls, creating a seal while you do the
pouring procedures, once the concrete has dried,
you only have to pull them out with a pair of pliers
and proceed to the next wall.
• These cones have a one inch canal diameter, to be
used with 1" thick PVC tubes.
