2. Job Responsibilities
• To supervise and mange all Maintenance and Operation activities on electrical
systems, control room and equipment in assigned field, covering generators & controls,
L.V/ H.V motors & control circuits, transformers, cables, H.V overhead lines, electrical
pumps and Electrical protection systems.
• Experience of cable laying, cable termination, megger testing, VFD controlling.
• To supervise and participate in preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance
of 210KVA, 500KVA Diesel Generators.
• To supervise the installation of transmitters, control valves and other field instruments
according to Plot Plan and P&I drawings.
• To read / understand the loop sheets, cause & effects and schematic diagrams.
• To supervise and participate in preventive, corrective and troubleshooting
maintenance, and testing of all plant instrument & control systems equipment.
• To supervise, coordinate and participate in the preventive, corrective and
troubleshooting / maintenance activities of the plant equipment at the assigned
location.
• To participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of shutdown and major
overhaul maintenance activities.
• To assist the section head in establishing priorities, making improvements on work
methods and to participate in evaluating modification proposals, failure analysis and
unscheduled shutdowns.
• Experience of electrical fault finding, preventative maintenance, and repairs of the
following equipment: Centrifugal gas compressors, Air compressors – Reciprocating and
screw, High pressure water injection pumps, Sea water lift pumps for process and fire
fighting. Centrifugal submersible lift pumps, General types of oil and water pumps,
Centrifugal, screw, gear, plunger, piston or diaphragm pumps.
• To comply with Organization's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Environment as
well as Work Permit, policies and procedures and also promote awareness of its use
among the staff.
• To prepare the list of spares, tools and other material required for the maintenance jobs
and issue the Purchase/Material requisitions for the Section Head approval.
• To inspect and confirm that the specifications are in line with the requirement of the
received 'direct charge' and ‘stock Materials’.
• To conduct Toolbox meetings with subordinates for discussing safety and methods of
completing job tasks.
• To evaluate equipment performance problems and to suggest modification / available
new technology to reduce overall maintenance cost.
• To direct and participate in performing maintenance of instrument and control systems
and advise on the maintenance schedule based on the analysis.
• To interface and coordinate with other sections in sorting out equipment problems and
maintenance activities.
• To supervise, manages and coordinates his Assistant's activities efficiently so as to reach above
described objectives. Maintain relations with the Contractor's electrical erection teams so that
interactions between Owner's specialists and Contractor's erection teams function smoothly.
• To plan Pre shutdown arrangements such as instruments spare listing and ordering,
work schedule preparation and updating, revising data for instrument, can read and
interpret instrument drawings, Job safety analysis preparation, preparing job plans for
plant instruments.
• To monitor and ensure that the shutdown maintenance jobs are carried out within the
scheduled time frame.
• To remove, dismantle, overhaul/repair and install electric, pneumatic, electronic or
hydraulic control system such as control valves and actuators, recorders, measuring and
recording instruments in the field or in the workshop.

3. • To identify and use a variety of test and measurement equipments including digital and
analog voltmeters, pneumatic and smart calibrators.
• To perform preventive and emergency maintenance on all equipment on site, as well as
during machine scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns.
• To perform modification of control circuits and/or control loops as per the plant change
request and update all related plant drawings to reflect the actual changes.
• To assist other sections such as electrical, mechanical and workshop in the repair and
troubleshooting of their instrument and electronic related systems and test equipment.
• To perform upgrade and retrofitting of new control instruments to the existing panels
in the field and main control room.
• To train and develop the assigned junior staff.

• One year Vocational Training Course in Electrical Technology from Govt. Technical
Training Institute of (G.T.T.I.) Multan (Pakistan) in 2006.
• 3 month NAVTEC- TEVETA SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAMME certificate in
