OBJECTIVE 6
Maintain learning
environments that are
responsive to community
contexts.
How do you maintain a learning environment that is responsive to your community's context? Describe the context in your area and share
teacher practices that contribute to the further improvement of your community.
As a secondary MAPEH Teacher, I believe it is important to maintain a learning environment responsive to my community's context. This means
that I need to be aware of the needs, interests, and cultures of the students and families in my community, and I need to use this information to
create a learning environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and engaging for all students. The context of my community is a diverse one. Many
different cultures are represented in my school, and the students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Some of my students are recent
immigrants, and others have lived in the community their whole lives. Some of my students are very interested in sports, while others are more
interested in physical fitness or health. To maintain a learning environment that is responsive to my community's context, I do the following: I get
to know my students and their families. I try to learn about their cultures, their interests, and their challenges. I also talk to them about their hopes
and dreams for the future. I use a variety of teaching methods and materials. I want to make sure that all students can learn and grow, regardless of
their background or interests. I use a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on activities, group work, and individual projects. I also use a
variety of materials, including sports equipment, fitness trackers, and health education resources. I create a positive and supportive learning
environment. I create a positive learning environment by being clear about my expectations, providing positive reinforcement, and addressing any
problems that arise in a constructive manner. I collaborate with other teachers and community members.
Here are some additional specific examples of how I have maintained a learning environment that is responsive to my community's context:
1. I have created a physical education curriculum that includes a variety of sports and activities from different cultures. This has helped to
promote understanding and appreciation of different cultures among my students.
2. I have organized a community fitness event that is open to all students, families, and community members. This has helped to build a
sense of community and pride in our community.
3. I am committed to maintaining a learning environment that is responsive to my community's context. I believe that this is essential for
providing all students with the opportunity to succeed.

OBJECTIVE 7
Review regularly
personal teaching
practices using existing
laws and
regulations that apply to
the teaching profession
and the responsibilities
specified in the Code of
Ethics for Professional
Teachers.
How do you develop your teaching practice in accordance with the existing laws that apply to teaching and the responsibilities specified in the
Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers? How do you develop your teaching practice in accordance with existing regulations?
As a MAPEH teacher, I believe that it is important to develop my teaching practice in accordance with the existing laws that apply to teaching
and the responsibilities specified in the Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers. This means that I need to be aware of the laws and regulations
that govern education in my country, and I need to make sure that my teaching practices are in line with these laws and regulations. Here are
some of the laws and regulations that I need to be aware of as a MAPEH teacher: The Philippine Constitution guarantees the right to education
for all citizens. This means that I have a responsibility to provide my students with a quality education that meets their individual needs.
The Education Act of 1982 sets out the basic structure of the education system in the Philippines. This law also specifies the responsibilities of
teachers, including the need to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct. The Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers is a set of
guidelines that outlines the ethical responsibilities of teachers. This code of ethics includes provisions on such things as confidentiality, respect
for students, and professional conduct. In addition to these laws and regulations, I also need to be aware of the responsibilities specified in the
Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers.
These responsibilities include:
1. Upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.
2. Maintaining the confidentiality of student information.
3. Respect the rights of all students.
4. Promoting equality and non-discrimination in the classroom.
5. Providing a safe and supportive learning environment.

OBJECTIVE 8
Adopt practices that
uphold the dignity of
teaching as a profession
by exhibiting qualities
such as a caring attitude,
respect, and integrity.
In which practices do you show care, respect, and integrity to learners, colleagues, parents, and other education stakeholders? How do these
practices uphold the dignity of the teaching profession?
As a public secondary teacher, I believe that it is important to show care, respect, and integrity to learners, colleagues, parents, and other education
stakeholders. These practices uphold the dignity of the teaching profession by demonstrating that teachers are committed to providing a quality
education for all students.
Here are some specific examples of how I show care, respect, and integrity to learners, colleagues, parents, and other education stakeholders:
1. To learners: I show care by getting to know them as individuals, understanding their needs, and providing them with the support they need
to succeed. I also show respect by listening to them, valuing their opinions, and treating them with fairness and equality.
2. To colleagues: I show care by being supportive and helpful, and by working together to create a positive and productive work environment.
I also show respect by listening to their ideas, valuing their contributions, and treating them with fairness and equality.
3. To parents: I show care by communicating regularly, listening to their concerns, and working together to support their children's learning.
I also show respect by being responsive to their requests, treating them with courtesy and professionalism, and keeping their information
confidential.
4. To other education stakeholders: I show care by being involved in the community, participating in professional development, and staying
up – to - date on the latest educational trends. I also show respect by being open to new ideas, listening to the opinions of others, and
working collaboratively to improve the education system. I believe that these practices uphold the dignity of the teaching profession by
demonstrating that teachers are committed to providing a quality education for all students. They also demonstrate that teachers are
professionals who are worthy of respect and trust.

OBJECTIVE 9
Participate in
professional networks to
share knowledge and to
enhance practice.
What co-curricular and/or extra-curricular organizations and/or activities did you participate in, that enabled you to share your knowledge and
enhance your teaching practice? How did your membership in this organization/ participation in this activity contribute to your professional
development?
A. Arnis Coach: I have been coaching the arnis club at my school for the past seven years. This has allowed me to share my knowledge of
the sport with students of all ages and skill levels. I have also learned a lot about teaching and coaching from my experience with the
club. For example, I have learned how to motivate students, how to create a positive learning environment, and how to give constructive
feedback.
B. Officiating Officials: I have been an officiating official for various sports for the past ten years like Volleyball, Basketball and Arnis .
This has given me the opportunity to learn about the rules of different sports and how to enforce them fairly. I have also learned how to
communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and spectators. My experience as an official has helped me to develop my leadership
skills and my ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
C. Resource Speaker: I have been giving presentations on education and arnis for the past three years. This has allowed me to share my
knowledge and experiences with a wider audience. I have also learned how to present my ideas clearly and concisely. My experience as
a speaker has helped me to develop my public speaking skills and my confidence in front of an audience.
All these co-curricular and/or extra-curricular organizations and/or activities have helped me to share my knowledge and enhance my teaching
practice. They have also contributed to my professional development by helping me to develop my leadership, communication, and public
speaking skills. I am grateful for the opportunity to have participated in these activities. They have helped me to become a better teacher,
coach, official, and speaker. I am confident that they will continue to help me to grow and develop in my professional career. In addition to
the organizations and activities mentioned above, I have also participated in various professional development workshops and conferences.
These have helped me to stay up-to-date on the latest trends in education and arnis. They have also given me the opportunity to network with
other professionals in my field. I believe that it is important for teachers to be involved in co-curricular and/or extra-curricular activities. These
activities can help teachers to share their knowledge, enhance their teaching practice, and develop their professional skills. I am grateful for
the opportunity to have participated in these activities, and I encourage other teachers to do the same.

Some of my students are recent immigrants, and others have lived in the community their whole lives. Some of my students are very interested in sports, while others are more interested in physical fitness or health. To maintain a learning environment that is responsive to my community's context, I do the following: I get to know my students and their families. I use a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on activities, group work, and individual projects. I also use a variety of materials, including sports equipment, fitness trackers, and health education resources. I create a positive and supportive learning environment. I create a positive learning environment by being clear about my expectations, providing positive reinforcement, and addressing any problems that arise in a constructive manner. I collaborate with other teachers and community members. Here are some additional specific examples of how I have maintained a learning environment that is responsive to my community's context: 1. I have created a physical education curriculum that includes a variety of sports and activities from different cultures. This has helped to promote understanding and appreciation of different cultures among my students. 2. I have organized a community fitness event that is open to all students, families, and community members. This has helped to build a sense of community and pride in our community. 3. I am committed to maintaining a learning environment that is responsive to my community's context. I believe that this is essential for providing all students with the opportunity to succeed.
