Enterprise Task Management System
The Challenge
The specific challenge of this project is to be able to handle multiple complex
workflows within a quick turnaround time across multiple organizations. This
application would have to be robust enough to be able to handle integration with other
systems like performance management system and quotation system, all while
maintaining task management business logic. The system must be developed as a
web application and mobile application both on iOS and Android. In addition, the client
had a previous experience of building the system which lasted over two years and
costed them for a failed project.
The Solution
The solution from Perintis Mobiliti was to re-build the system from ground up with focus
on three main areas – business logic, platform and performance. In addition to the
standard product, many functional extensions had to be built to handle specific
business logic of task management and day-to-day monitoring / handling of tasks.
The Importance of Task Management
“in the past, we had to manually track staff tasks or via email. When it came time to
staff performance review, we only retained information of the tasks done by that staff
in the last couple of months, and not able to fairly give credit to the work done for the
whole year. By implementing a new way of working using tasks, we are able to
manage tasks more efficiently, monitor progress and resolve issues as and when they
happen and able to pull up all the effort and results information for an effective
performance review. Making decisions based on reliable availability of information
from one system is important.”
Development Process
Perintis Multi Tenancy Platform (PMTP) enables organizations to build their business
applications which are cloud ready. This SAAS platform provides reliability, speed and
high scalability. Our approach was to build the business logic on top of the PMTP, thus
making use of the features that the platform readily offers.
• Perform software architecture and design verification of the legacy software
• Understand the client’s business logic and roadmap – to define, predict scaling
and plan the technology solutions
• Standardize interfaces to enable smoother software integrations in the future
as per the roadmap
Business Results
Our strategy for the development process paid off and we successfully built the
software under six months with only 2% defects and within budget. Task workflows
were implemented which provides the client with transparency, accessibility and
accuracy of task handling.

Software will be rolled out and used as the primary tool to manage internal processes
and eventually following the tangent of the client’s roadmap. In addition, management
will have increased visibility of ongoing tasks, staff loading and completion status.

• A 2% defect rate indicates a relatively high quality software delivery
• Smooth transition from manual methods to fully automated task management,
with good learnability
• Robust – able to integrate into other software with low effort
• Scalable – runs on AWS which will scale according to software needs
