Unified Inforce System: UIS is the main source of Eligibility details provided for clients and
other applications. Eligible employee details processed in UIS such details include the customer
details and employee details. Employee details are stored in VSAM file called inforce. Also
called as the original copy or gold copy. The VSAM files are divided into 22 segments due to
huge number of records.There are several ways in which the employee details processed
includes employee details sent by the customer, using self web services by the certificate
holders. Because of processing the input files sent by the customer involves several formats.
We should accept all the customer formats to process the inforce file. There are two types of
processing in inforce file full population and change population. In full population, all the input
details are sent by the customer including old details and changed details. In change
population, only changed input details are sent by the customer.

Billing System: It provides a single bill and remittance interface for multiple products and
services sold at the worksite. This ability will accommodate the services and products of both
internal and external manufacturers while providing the client with the flexibility to meet the
needs of our customers and enable cross-selling efforts.
It will maintain interfaces with product line administrative/billing systems and external
vendors. The interfaces will provide contract-level transactions to start, stop, suspend, resume
or change billing information in the system. Billing specific enrollment data will be obtained
from the product line interfaces or company eligibility files in the initial phases of the system. It
will provide information to the product lines and outside vendors regarding remittances and
employee status update from the client companies or direct input transactions.
