Network Topology :
Network topology refers to the physical or logical layout of a network.
There are two types of network topologies: physical and logical.
Physical Topology :
Physical topology emphasizes the physical layout of the connected devices and
nodes
Logical Topology :
The logical topology focuses on the pattern of data transfer between network
nodes.
There are five types of topology in computer networks :
1. Mesh Topology
2. Star Topology
3. Bus Topology
4. Ring Topology
5. Tree Topology
2. Mesh Topology :
A mesh topology is a network setup where each computer and network device is
interconnected with one another.
Star Topology :
A stat topology is topology for a Local Area Network(LAN) in which all nodes are
individually connected to a central connection point, like hub or a switch.
3. Bus Topology :
A bus topology is a topology for a Local Area Network(LAN) in which all the nodes
are connected to a single cable.
Ring Topology :
A ring topology is a network configuration where device connections create a
circular data path. Each networked device is connected to two others, like point
on a circle.
4. Tree Topology :
A tree topology a special type of structure where many connected elements are
arranged like the branches of a tree. In a tree topology ,there can be only one
connection between any two connected nodes.
