Qualification. Prior to acquiring these professional qualifications Rajeev completed
M.Sc (Electronics) – equivalent to Bachelor of Engineering from Department of
Physics and Astrophysics, Delhi University.
Rajeev has a unique and rich work experience in Top Multinational, Top Public
Sector Companies, State Government, State Government Undertakings as well as
Central Government, Central Government Statutory Organizations and also Top
Private Sector Companies, Top rated Reputed Consultancy Organizations and
Global Firms of great repute such as Ascendas Pte Ltd, Bain Capital, Boston
Consulting Group, Mackinsey etc. Multilateral Financing Institutions suchas World
Bank, JBIC, ADB etc.
Rajeev’s experience extends in areas of overall leadership, business development,
project management, financial management, research, pre-feasibility, feasibility /
final and midterm appraisal / evaluation / management / execution / monitoring and
finance of large Infrastructure projects, development projects, Public-Private
partnership projects, Master-Regional Plan Development, Investment Plan for large
Cities / Townships and Clusters, Institutional strengthening and Capacity building
efforts, Procurement and Municipal Finances, HR & Administrative matters,
Investment Banking including Private equity and Venture fund, developing macro
policies for the banking sector and managing banking operations including credit
and treasury management. Rajeev has also undertaken extensive work on Smart
City Projects / SEZs and large Real Estate Development Projects. Rajeev has
worked on Flagship Government Projects such as “Startup India” and “Housing
for All” . In the Private Corporate Sector too Rajeev assumed leadership roles in
several prestigious assignments
Rajeev started his career with Punjab National Bank (a leading Public Sector Bank)
as a Management Trainee in 1986 and occupied several important positions in
Infrastructure, Social Benefit Projects, Rural Credit Financing, Investment Banking
including Private Equity and Venture Fund Investment. He was appointed as
“Officer on Special Duty” in Ministry of Finance (Banking Division, 1998-2000).
Rajeev was selected as Joint Director (Finance) at National Capital Region Planning

2. Board under Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, in 2001. This
position was on deputation from Punjab National Bank. In this role, he handled all
aspects relating to Infrastructure Projects handling Government sponsored mega
Projects such as KMP & FNG Expressway, Metro Railand also Integrated Road and
Bus Transport system for National Capital Region. It was at NCRPB that he learnt
about Social Infrastructure, Regional Plans, Master Plans, Township Development,
PPP, Industrial Development, Municipal Finances and all other important aspects of
Infrastructure and Township Development. In 2004, Rajeev joined State Industrial
Development Corporation of Uttaranchal as General Manager (Infrastructure
Development) handling all aspects of the famous Rudrapur Industrial Development
(3500 acres) and also 100 acre Technology Park Development at Dehradun.
Later Rajeev switched to the Private Sector and joined a Japanese Multinational –
Tokyo Engineering Consultant in 2005, handling a major Infrastructure Project
named Yamuna Action Plan funded by the Japanese Bank for International
Cooperation (JBIC). Subsequently, Rajeev joined a Singapore based International
Real Estate Private Equity firm as Vice – President in 2006. In 2008 Rajeev was
selected by Ascendas India (a leading firm in Asia fully owned by Government
of Singapore) as Vice president and headed the North India operations of Ascendas
India. He handled all aspects pertaining to Infrastructure Development of large
projects, Industrial Parks, IT Parks, Business Parks, and Biotechnology / Science
Parks, Real Estate in this role and interacted with Top Infrastructure Development /
Real Estate players as well as State and Central Government departments. Rajeev
also worked as President in Gold Souk International Ltd. - a 40 year old
conglomerate dealing in all aspects of Real Estate & Infrastructure Projects. Rajeev
also held the Position of CEO of Wegmans Trustone Group and CEO of AMRAC –
SEBI Registered Category II Private Equity player.
Rajeev has interacted closely with Govt. of India (Ministry of Urban Development,
Ministry of Finance, Planning Commission / Niti Ayog , Ministry of Law and
Justice, Ministry ofEnvironment and Forest, MSME, Textile, Ministry ofShipping,
Ministry of Road Transport and Highway, Department of Commerce, Department
of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Department of Financial Services, Rural
Development, Skill Development, Home Ministry, Human Resources Development,
Prime Minister’s Office ) World Bank, State Govt. of Haryana, Rajasthan, U.P.,
Uttaranchal, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi, for implementation of infrastructure and
development projects in the National Capital Region as well as the State of Andhra
Pradesh. He has also been involved in planning for staffing needs of enterprise and

3. leading & developing manpower. He interacted with state development authorities
such as HUDA, HSIDC, GNIDA, UPSIDC, UPHB, RIICO, PICUP etc.
Rajeev was a Core Member for preparation of Region Plan-2021 of NCR Region.
He was a member of many sub-committees formed for preparation of the Regional
Plan of NCR Region. He was also involved in various presentations submitted by
Delhi Development Authority for Preparation of Master Plan for Delhi. He has
extensively toured the NCR Region for monitoring project implementation of
Infrastructure Projects in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan & U.P as well as for the State
of Andhra Pradesh. Rajeev has written many articles and papers on subjects related
to his field.
In addition to the above, Rajeev held several leadership roles in the corporatesector
as well and worked with top multinational companies including one owned byGovt.
of Singapore. He travelled extensively in India and abroad for business development
and other assignments.
Rajeev has also taught in a Management School and frequently undertakes
Mentoring sessions, Public Presentations and motivational speeches in areas of his
specialization. Currently Rajeev is compiling a book on “Smart City Capital of the
World – India “.
