10 Tips To Be More Disciplined In Life To Be Successful | Amit Kakkar Healthyway
Using technologies
1. Blogger
This was one of the most important websites I had came across which allowed me to produce and manage my work through a blog layout. Inside this
blog I also had a diary which was beneficial towards my coursework task as it allowed me to work on time management skills of the tasks we were
doing. Within this diary I was able to explain what new skills I had learnt and any challenges I faced when working on different tasks. By going through
my diary I was able to reflect on processes I had been through and work my way forward into the coursework. The diary part of the blog was straight
forward as well as uploading documents.
Embedding
To upload and share my tasks to my blog I had used a variety of different sites and gathered embedding links then embed the link onto the blog. I had
already known how to upload documents from different websites like Prezi, Emaze, Slideshare, Scribd etc. After creating each document on that
website I had to click on share, copy the embed code and paste it onto my blog using a new post and clicking on the ‘HTML’ option. After embedding
the code I would click publish. Then after I had published it I would view the post and make sure it had uploaded the right way I wanted it to.
Photoshop Software
A fundamental software I had used when creating my music magazine. I had used the Photoshop software within the prelim task meaning I didn’t
really find anything too complicated as I had worked with the features before. There are a handful of different features I used which helped me
manipulate images and text together and create my music magazine. I had learnt how to insert a masthead, coverlines, manipulating my main image
and many other stuff.. I had used this software to create my front cover and contents page of my music magazine.
InDesign Software
Another software which is similar to the Photoshop software. I had never used this software before but it had many similarities to Photoshop thus I
didn‘t find using this application too difficulty. It had the basic principals of a Photoshop software but in actual fact less. I had manipulated images on
Photoshop then saved them and opened them on InDesign. For example, for my masthead I had copied the layer from my front cover onto a separate
document. I then saved it as a JPEG then opened it onto InDesign and placed it where I wanted.
Prezi/Emaze
Two websites which helped me produce presentations which I had to upload to my blog. Instead of using PowerPoint presentations these websites
helped us create presentations in a similar form but through a website which was then uploaded using the embed code/link. I had used these two
websites in the prelim task therefore I did not have any difficulties using them.
2. Scribd/Slideshare
Two of the key websites used to upload work from Word/PowerPoint documents onto my blog page. Pretty stress-free to work with as it was a simple
three-four step process. All I had to do was upload my work using the ‘Upload’ feature, find my document, upload it, then share and copy the embed
code onto my blog.
Scanner
A device which I used to scan in my work that was done on a piece of paper, save it as a JPEG then upload tom my blog page. This piece of technology
wasn’t hard to use as it was pretty straight-forward.
Camera/Lighting
An important piece of technology I used which allowed me to take professional photos as it was a DSLR camera which I then uploaded to my blog. I
found it easy to import/export images from the camera to the computer. In addition, to achieve professional photos I used lighting in order make the
image of higher quality. It was my first time using camera lighting but it was fairly easy to use as it was just a matter of placing a light somewhere
around the mode;.
