1. Expert Questions
With your experiences of working with students, do you feel young people are struggling
under the current financial climate?
Would you agree that there is a correlation between young people and poverty and mental
health issues?
We asked Janice Hamilton (Vice Principle) and Julie Maitland (Student Achievement
Coodinator.) These experts are both teachers of the college and have a clear representation
of their status within the college and allow us, as well as audiences, into their thoughts
processes and what they think of the subject. These experts were very beneficial as they
have vast amounts of experiences working with students so they could understand and
engage further notice to audiences of the problems they have encountered. They also
provide concrete information as people trusts the experts who have worked within the
college itself.
Vox Pop of Students
Would you class yourself as politically active?
Are you aware of financial consequences that come in entering work and university?
Do you think students struggle more financially than they did ten years ago?
Do you feel students and young people should be more aware om how to deal with finances
and financial issues through school?
With homelessness being such a huge current issue, do you feel that you would have
enough knowledge of the systemto seek sufficient support should you ever need it?
We asked our vox pop (students) these questions as it was a way of understanding their
thoughts and opinions of the topic as well as voice their opinions on issues which they find
need to be worked on and/or mentioned to a higher level.
