The Awesome Wonders of Nature
On Wednesday, Mrs. Elaine Adams brought me a caterpillar that was on her parsley
plant. About an hour or two after she left, it proceeded into its chrysalis (or you might say
cocoon.) I got to watch it magnificently, but carefully shed its skin and wrap itself up into its
chrysalis. It was so neat. I was fascinated to see how quickly it worked. It should be emerging
in 2 to 3 weeks. I'll let y'all know when it does. Thank Mrs. Elaine for giving me that
caterpillar!

I would like to wish Betty Jean Hill a Happy 62nd
Birthday on July 13th
. She is like a grandma to me!
Happy Birthday Jean Jean!
The editor will not be available for the next two weeks, so the Freeman Post will be on hold. Thank you and have a nice summer!
A Visit With Mrs. Patterson
This week Lilly and Maddie interviewed Mrs.
Leona Patterson. She has lived on Freeman Rd. for 47
years with her husband, Otis. For many of those years
she has kindly taken care of the flower/bereavement
fund for the neighborhood. She had one brother who
left us 6 years ago. She was a Typing/Bookkeeping
teacher at Union Pines, and Betty Jean Davis and
Nancy Speer were some of her students! She enjoys
collecting recipes and doing crafts. She has two
children, Rayona and Jonathan, and has three
wonderful grandkids; Leah Grace is 21 months, Zac is
10, and Carissa 15. We ask that you keep her in your
thoughts and prayers on Thursday as she is having
surgery. Our hearts are with you, Mrs. Patterson.
Thank you for your time!
