3. Sequence:
is an arrangement of numbers in a
definite order according to some rule.
1,8, 27, 64, 125, ................
1, ½, 1/3 , ¼, 1/5, ........
2, 4, 6, 8,...........

4. but it is not necessary that the terms of a
sequence always follow a certain pattern or
they are described by some explicit formula
for the nth term.
Those sequence whose terms follow certain
patterns are called progressions.
