4. ABOUT THIS COURSE.
• Physician assistant are concerned with preventing and
treating human illness and injury by providing a broad range
of health care services under the direction of a physician or
doctor or surgeon.
• They conduct physical exams,diagnose and treat illness.
• Physician assistant prescribe medications,counsel on
preventive health care and may assist in surgery.

5. • Physician assistant are valuable in variety of health care
settings such as hospitals , rehabilitation centers for physical
and psychiatric disorders , geriatric homes.
• They are commonly known as PA and they usually provide primary
medical services. The job role of a Physician Assistant is diverse as it
includes meeting with patients, making a treatment plan, and
coordinating between doctors and patients.
• Phycisian assistants can also get a job in government
by applying in medical requirement board.

<FIRST YEAR>
 Anatomy
 Physiology
 Biochemistry
 Introduction to computers
 Technical writing/patient oriented
communication skills.

7. <SECOND YEAR>
Medicine and pharmacology
Surgery/equipments/anesthesiology.
Paediatrics&geriatrics.
Clinical microbiology.
Obstetrics and gyneacology.
Training (clinical department rotation)

8. <THIRD YEAR>
Cardiology & cardiac surgery.
Neurology
Nephrology/pulmonology
Gastroentrology/orthopaedics.
Training (clinical rotation)
Practical exams and viva are conducted by doctors after
examinations.
Internal assestment is done and the marks are sent to
university.

9. • ELIGIBILITY: +2 pass (science, biomaths)
• DURATION: 3 YEARS + 1 YEAR INTERNSHIP
• PAY SCALE: 25,000- 51,000 INR
