This document discusses establishing occlusal relationships for removable partial dentures (RPDs). It defines key terms and outlines factors that influence developing occlusion. Methods for establishing jaw relations are described, including using occlusion rims and recording occlusal pathways dynamically to achieve functional harmony with surrounding structures. The functionally generated path method and articulator method for registering occlusal pathways are explained. Considerations for arranging teeth on an RPD opposing a maxillary complete denture are provided. The document concludes with references.
