Biological Anthropology (DNA Laboratory)
Senior Research Fellow
Spearheading efforts as Senior Research Fellow; completed the DNA sequencing, processing,
analysis and mutation detection of around 800 DNA samples for 5 genes using the DNA
sequencing instrument 3730 DNA analyzer.
Research work on Phylogeny study of Indian populations (around 36 communities) with the
technology of whole genome sequencing of mtDNA and DNA fingerprinting of Y-Chromosome
as a team member of the project ‘DNA polymorphism of the Contemporary Indian
Populations’.
Responsible for conducting research activities of the project, initialization of research
proposals, finalization of research proposals.
Prepare Specifications, Technical summary reports, validation summary reports, analytic data
review and Technology transfer protocols & printing of extension manuals and reports.
Performed studies as related to research project & perform & conduct various field
experiment/management with different treatments as required by the project.
Providing insight on these findings and ensures key findings are shared with appropriate
