The course is specifically designed to develop technical and management skills of owners, staff and
managers of greenhouse and hydroponic growing systems to meet the challenges of producing high
quality and high value food for India. The course is suitable for all levels of expertise and experience
and also for those considering setting up a hydroponic greenhouse operation. It covers ALL aspects of
commercial greenhouse based hydroponic growing and attendees will gain a unique insight into the
latest developments and best practice currently being employed throughout the world. It is also highly
useful for commercial horticultural companies wishing to gain an insight into the rapidly expanding
Indian market of hydroponics.
The course includes practical system training, discussions, demonstrations and lectures supported by
written notes and other practical tools. The course will be conducted by two highly experienced
Australian industry presenters Graeme Smith and Rick Donnan

26 years of professional career, worked in Corporate, Private Limited Companies, and Government
Institutes in various capacities
Served as Director of National Institute of Post Harvest Technology and Horticulture Training Center,
a first of its kind in Asia, established in collaboration with the Netherlands Government.
Expertise encompasses research, training, management and execution of agriculture and controlled
environment agriculture and hydroponic projects with special emphasis on production efficiencies,
post-harvest technology, and domestic and export marketing of produce/products through
adoption of precision and sustainable farming techniques.
Good leadership qualities and successful in all fronts throughout in educational, sports, and
professional careers.
8. Curriculum Vitae of Ajit Ingale – Trainer of the Program
Mr. Ajit Has more than 8 years of hands on experience about the greenhouse and
protected farming from the countries like Holland, Israel and India. He is involved in
the projects developed by global players in India and abroad. He is not only blessed
with an expertise in crop management but also the farm management and
greenhouse engineering. He conducted many customizations and trials while
modifying the advance techniques in protected cultivation for Indian farmers. He is
well known agronomist for the soil and soilless agriculture growing methods.
His major areas of expertise are,

• IPM (Integrated Pest Management) in Grapes, Greenhouse Crops, Strawberries etc.
and agronomic guidelines.

9. Curriculum Vitae of Uday Mathapati – Program Organizer
As a chief visionary for Delish Veggies, Uday believes that, increased awareness about nutritious food will drive the
demand for quality produce by many folds and technical innovation will be the key to achieve it.
Uday envisions Controlled Environment Farming as a healthier option because it prevents the produce from getting
mutilated/adulterated due to external pollutants/calamities and conserves natural resources by integrating technology
and available resources. He also aims to use alternative renewable energy sources for his produce in future.
Prior to getting into his passion for high technology urban farming, Uday has 16 years of corporate experience with India’s
Leading Companies such as Infosys, IDBI. His profile demanded traveling across different countries, exposing him to the
world of high technology farming in those countries. His interest in farming probed him to understand these models in
detail and bring it back home to improve our farm productivity and help Indian growers to join the high tech farming
movement.
He is Masters in Marketing Management and Bachelor in Production Engineering (University Rank holder) from Pune.
Uday is serving Delish Veggies as Chief Executive Officer. Armed with a course from Arizona
Agriculture University’s Controlled Environment Engg. Dept, USA, Uday has setup his first
hydroponic greenhouse in Pune in 2015. This is the high technology green house, employing
Controlled Environment Agriculture for producing high quality varieties of Salad greens.
