4. All-Terrain Vehicle Integration
Purpose : BAJA SAE INDIA

Objective : Design, Analyze, and Manufacture an All-Terrain
vehicle to represent our college at BAJA competition. Once all
components design were finalized, vehicle integration was
carried out to check the feasibility of different systems with
each other on the roll cage. Following systems are involved :
Wheel Assemblies
Suspension Systems
Transmission System
Steering Assembly
Braking System
Engine/Fuel tank
Driver Seat/Safety Belts
Software : CATIA-V5, ANSYS, Hyper-mesh, MSC-ADAMS,
Solid Works.
5. Design of Transmission System for All-
terrain vehicle
Purpose : BAJA SAE INDIA

Project Duration : 11 Months
My Role : Head of Design Department
Objective: Developed a simplified design of transmission
system to increase its performance and safety standards by
working on material selection, gear box design, finite element
analysis to test against failure.

Static Structural Analysis – Stage 1 and Stage 2 gear pairs
Structural Analysis – Casing (Cornering condition)

7. Design and Manufacturing of Wheel
Assembly for an All-terrain Vehicle
Purpose : BAJA SAE INDIA

My Role : Member of Design Department
Objective: Steering Knuckle and Wheel Hub were designed,
analyzed, and manufactured from Aluminum 7075 and proper
level of optimization done on spindle and brake disc to ensure
lightweight and required factor of safety for all wheel assembly
components.

Spindle, Steering Knuckle, Wheel hub - Static and Fatigue
Analysis.
Brake Disc – Static, Fatigue, and Thermal Analysis.
Manufacturing Process : Milling, CNC Lathe, Electronic

8. Chassis Design for an Electric All-Terrain
Vehicle
Purpose : BAJA SAE INDIA
Year : 2016
Project Duration : 11 Months
My Role : Member of Roll cage Department
Objective : Aim of my department was to produce an optimum
design while complying with the rules and regulations provided
by SAEINDIA with special considerations given to safety of the
driver, ease of manufacturing, cost, weight and overall
aesthetics and performance.

9. Reverse Engineering for Manufacturing an
OEM Housing for Spherical Bearing
Purpose : BAJA SAE INDIA
Year : 2016
Project Duration : 11 Months
My Role : Member of Roll cage Department
Objective : OEM housing was redesigned merely through
photographs and information about its functionality and
size and was manufactured to increase total suspension travel
over conventional Spherical Ball Joint.
Final Design : Suspension travel of 3inch in droop and 4inch in
dump is achieved and validated from actual prototype of the
system.

10. Gravity Driven Vehicle
