4. AKSH Slew Bearing: Manufacturing Advantages
• Material of Construction for AKSH Slew Bearing is forged,
normalized EN9/C55/EN19/20MnCr5 based on requirement
• Forging ratio is maintained as 1:4
• Perfect Grain Structure of material is achieved due to above process
which makes material homogeneous
• Hardening layer after Heat Treatment (Induction) also becomes
homogeneous due to perfect grain structure
• If grain structure is not maintained in perfect way, it affects
hardening layer. Thus, there can be defects (scaling) inside loading
area of the slew bearing. This is not the case for AKSH Slew Bearing.
• AKSH Slew Bearing also have Hard-Chrome plating layer except gear
teeth
• As slew bearing is a life critical product, AKSH does not take
deviation from any of the standardized manufacturing process for
quality assurance
