This document provides an introduction to EmoBot, an artificial intelligence robot pet. It discusses EmoBot's history and creator, its cube-shaped structure, components including sensors and ability to see, hear, and communicate. The document outlines EmoBot's functions such as being a smart home assistant, answering questions using its voice assistant abilities, and controlling IoT devices. It also discusses how to update EmoBot's software wirelessly using OTA technology, as well as the advantages of EmoBot including entertainment and accuracy, and disadvantages including economic impacts and following programmed instructions only.
3. INTRODUCTION
Emo is a cool desktop AI robot pet with characters
that can self-explore the world and react to you with 1000+
faces and movements.
A robot is a type of automated machine
that can execute specific tasks with little or no human
intervention and with speed and precision.
Emo cheers you up with music, dance movements, and
online games!
4. Emo Spark is an artificial intelligence console
created in London, United Kingdom by Patrick
Levy-Rosenthal.
The device uses facial recognition and
language analysis to evaluate human emotion
and convey responsive content according to the
emotion.
The console measures 90 mm x 90 mm x 90
mm and is cube shaped.
HISTORY
8. Smart Home Enabled Daily Assistant
simply say ‘Emo, turn on the light’ and Emo does
the rest.
Emo can be a reliable alarm and also includes a
smart light.
HOW CAN EMO HELPS US
9. Voice Assistant & IoT Control
Emo has a smart brain that can answer any of your
questions and respond with useful information.
Ask him about the weather, he will change his face to
show you the current weather conditions!
10. HOW TO UPDATE A SOFTWARE IN EMO
Emo was created with millions of lines of code, which
require on-going efforts to optimize and debug.
Emo might run into bugs sometime and that’s why we will
keep pushing updates later to refine the programming and
develop more new skills and features with our latest
technology.
You can always upgrade your Emo via OTA
HOW TO UPDATE A LATEST SOFTWARE IN EMO
11. OTA means ‘over-the-air’, and refers to the distribution of
information wirelessly.
it allows installation of new features, providing more
functionality from the developers of the product. These updates
can relate to software, hardware
ADVANTAGES
OTA technology makes the update process easy and
convenient.
It vastly reduces the need for physical presence at the
device to perform routine maintenance
A key part of this story is the way OTA updates allow
hardware distributed around the world to stay secure.
WHAT IS OTA
12.
13. ADVANTAGES
Unlike humans, robots don’t get bored
They can be very accurate – to fractions of an inch (as is
needed for example in manufacturing of
microelectronics)
Robots can work in environments which are unsafe for
humans – in the nuclear or chemical industries.
Robots have some sensors/actuators which are more
capable than humans
14. DISADVANTAGES
The use of robots can create economic problems if they
replace human jobs
Robots can only do what they are told to do – they can’t
improvise
This means that safety procedures are needed to
protect humans and other robots
Often robots are very costly – in terms of the initial
cost, maintenance, the need for extra components and
the need to be programmed to do the task.
15. CONCLUSION
Getting autonomous robots to do the things we
want them to do is still a challenge.
Designing controllers that are easily configured in
an adequate way is far more complicated.
The idea to make a controller learn an adequate
set of parameters and functions for a given task is
not completely new, but still not solved
sufficiently.
