2. SUMMARY
1:-The report given an overview of 132/33 KV SUBSTATION KASIMABAD,UP It
include electricity distribution process at UPPCL KASIMABAD UP. The switch yard
in substation include two transformer of 63 MVA and 40 MVA simultaneously.
2:-The main bus 132KV is coming from two places that is, MAU TO KASIMABAD
and GHAZIPUR TO KASIMABAD ,UP. Now the transmission line first parallel
connected with lightning arrester to diverge surge, after that , Isolator for 132kv ,
Current transformer, Circuit breaker Isolator Potential transformer, Bus line,
Isolator Circuit breaker, Current transformer , Lightning Arrester.
3:-A current transformer is connected in series with line which measure current.
Switchyard equipment is provided which is combination of a circuit breaker having
an isolator at each end. A transformer is connected to main bus through bus
coupler. At both ends of transformer lightning arrester current transformer and
switchgear equipment provided.
4:-There are two incoming in the substation which depends how many transformer
is placed in a substation .There are 4 feeder
BAHADURGANJ,MAHRAUR,DHOTARI,KASIMABAD in the substation that is .
5:-All the equipment in substation is control by the control room in a substation .
The Control room where the operator can views the alarms, breaker and measure
the power elements.
3. SUBSTATION
A substation is a part of an electrical generation, transmission, and
distribution system.
Substations transform voltage from high to low, or low to high and
perform other important functions.
Between the generating station and consumer, electric power may flow
through several substations at different voltage levels.
A substation may include transformers to change voltage levels between
high transmission voltages and lower distribution voltages.
6. TRANSFORMER
A transformer is a device that transfers electric energy from one
alternating-current circuit to one or more other circuits, either
increasing (stepping up) or reducing (stepping down) the voltage
