Indirect Taxation (SERVICE TAX)
 Ensuring statutory compliance for Service Tax for Group Companies in respect to
Registration, Amendment, Filing intimation etc.
 Ensuring Timely Monthly Deposit of Service Tax of all Group Companies.
 Review of Half Yearly Excise and Service Tax Return of Group Companies.
 Review of accounts and trail balance on concurrent basis.
 Handling Scrutiny, Audit, Appeal and timely response to notices / SCN
 Accurate and timely Processing Calculations of Service Tax covering all transactions
as per stipulated dates after identification and verification of all income entries.
 Reconciliation of Income heads and reconciliation for discharge of liability.
Maintenance of Cenvat Register, Output Register, Reconciliation with GL and due
diligence.
 Liaison with external lawyers & consultants and replies of departmental queries and
notices.
 Issuing guidelines to accounting/commercial teams on budgets/rates/proviso
changes.
 Reviewing CENVAT Accounting as per Cenvat Credit Rules.
 Reviewing Service Tax reverse charge calculations.
 Reviewing input/output services invoices from service tax provisions aspects.
 Proper Availment of CENVAT as per service tax rules.
 Timely providing required data asked by department with help of accounting team
 Interaction with Government Department auditors for their queries.
 Review of contracts from indirect tax compliance point of view.
 Drafting and Filing Reply to various Notices and Coordinate with Service Tax
Authority.
 Updating Accounting team on Continuous change in the service tax.
 Maintaining data and doing analysis of AR & AP.
 Maintaining/Controlling CENVAT registers of group companies.
Accounting Management
 Day today accounting in ERP Environment includes Accounts Payable / Accounts
Receivables.
 Good knowledge and understanding of Taxation (Sales Tax, Service Tax, Income
Tax and other direct / indirect taxation)
 Ensuring timely payments and collections from customers.
 Provide assistance in the budget preparation, budget forecasts and closure of
accounts processes.
 Preparation of age wise analysis reports of Debtors and Creditors
 Preparation of fund requirements.
 Preparation of Budget statements project wise on month wise.
 Preparation of variance analysis reports (Budget v/s Actual)
 Accuracy of financial documentation and records.
 Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly MIS
 Verification of RA Bills and deductions like WCT, Retention, Mobilization, Material
advance and TDS.
 Ensure 100% adherence to Company policies in Accounts Payable function
 Ensuring that all payments are made to suppliers within the stipulated time frame
and managing accounts payable within the pre-set parameters
 Monthly preparation of cash flow / collection statement
 Variance analysis in case of short collection
 Collection MIS on daily basis
 Dealing with project/ clients & monitoring various issues.
 Responsible for Liaising with vendors to drive timely reconciliation and resolve open
issues.
 Review and approval of all Vendor related expenses
 Responsible for driving efficiency in Accounts payable function through driving
various process improvements
 Part of team responsible for Quarterly Limited review & Annual Statutory & Tax
Audit.
 Ensuring deduction of Statutory dues & Taxes i.e. TDS, WCT, Service Tax etc.
 Conducting ageing analysis of the payables to understand the paying pattern and
devise effective accounts payable policies
