Kier completes £11.5m sale of Trade City
Standard Life Investments has acquired the recently completed Trade City in Bracknell for £11.5m.
Kier Property completed the deal to sell the Berkshire estate, which comprises 12 warehouse and
industrial units across 59,381 sq ft, after achieving eight pre-lets and four units sold with vacant
possession.
Trade City is prominently located on Western Road, in the centre of the Bracknell’s commercial
district. The scheme was pre-let to Edmundson Electrical, ATS Euromaster, The Colour Centre, Al
Murad Tiles and UK Power Reserve at rents ranging from £10.50 to £13/sq ft.
Pip Prongué, managing director south at Kier Property, said: “We are delighted with this sale, which
continues to demonstrate the strength and product value of the Trade City brand. It has developed
over 1m sq ft of trade counter and light industrial warehousing space across the UK in the past three
years and has a further 1m sq ft plus in the pipeline.”
Matthews & Goodman acted for Kier Property, while Standard Life Investments was advised by
Haslams, which have been retained by the new owners to handle letting of the four vacant units.
