Welcome to Farm Diecast magazine!
Farm Modeller Magazine has been renamed to
reflect the inclusion of the mixed content it will
cover. Now you will see farming models and
miniatures alongside diecast and plastic kits.
I am pleased to announce that Farm Diecast
magazine will now be published every month and
will be online only. The move to online-only was
due to print and postage costs getting too much,
but you can still get a hardcopy of this and any
future issue through a print-on-demand company.
I will be putting the full details on our new website
very soon.
The magazine will also be FREE from now on.
Everyone can view each issue online at
www.farm-diecast-magazine.com
Each monthly issue will be 20 pages, or even
more, depending on how many new models and
reviews we need to pack in!
We hope you enjoy our new format.

HARDENBERG
FARM TOY SHOW 2021
I was very excited when I heard that some Dutch collectors decided to organise a new farm toy show, even in the middle of the
COVID-19 pandemic.
Albert Nieuwenhuis had this idea and took the risk to organise the 1st Hardenberg Farm Toy Show, held on December 11th 12th
2021. Together with Andres de Hoon, Henk DamWichers, Corina Heimeriks and Melanie Bultink, he started to plan and organise to
make a dream come true. Corina took care of the catering, Melanie worked on the floor plan, and Andres took care of the show
model and vendors from the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Italy.
The organisation built to a crew of 22 people who helped build up the show and everything that went into it.
My first thoughts were that you
must have courage (and be a little
wacky) to organise such a show in
a time when you don’t know what
government policies may be
decided the next day.
However, the organisers were
lucky, and the show took place…
Lucky for them and the collectors!
I started my trip very early on the
Saturday morning for a three-hour
drive to Hardenberg. Armed with
my vaccination passport, app,
official covid test and all other
bells and whistles, I arrived at
around 7am at the
Amusementenhal in Hardenberg.
After a lovely welcome by
Albert Nieuwenhuis, Corina
Heimeriks and Melanie Bultink,
I was allowed to enter the
showgrounds.
Lots of vendors, foreign and
domestic, and exhibitors were
very busy to building up their
stalls and displays. About 85
vendors and displays from
across Europe were on the
show, with a lot of diversity in
models, scales, ages and
conditions.
The second hall was a huge
display with RC trucks and
farm vehicles, the whole line-up
of the Fiat 90-Series from back
in the days, along with some
tractors, including my personal
favourite, the Fendt 824
Turboshift.
This beautiful display by Hans Sikkema combined current and out-of-production models, all highly
detailed and built in small batches by his small company. Above is the multi-purpose 1961-1965
Samecar and a David Brown 1212 with a New Holland Clayson baler. A brilliant combination.

A FIRST LOOK AT EUROPE’S
NEWEST FARM TOY SHOW
First public presentation of the AVM
PUMA 4.0 self-propelled potato harvester,
made by Kees van Dijke, Andres de Hoon
and Chris Machielsen. Very detailed
prototype combining 3D printed and 3D
milled parts. The team plan to make 10
versions of this superb model in 2022 that
will come with a four-figure price tag.
Top: Jordy van der Wal’s New Holland T7.315 with Vredestein Tires
and additional parts, towing a converted Wiking Strautmann
Tera-Vitesse, shortened to recreate a two-axle Giga Vitesse.
Middle: Beautiful conversions by co-owners of Agri Modelbouw, Peter
van Graft and Jordy van den Wal, based on a Wiking model, the HAWE
DST24 muck spreaders, one on wheels and one on tracks.
Bottom: Converted JCB 86C with extended boom and mowing bucket
by Mathew Arntz.
The show model, a New Holland T7.270 AC “Heritage Edition”
made by ROS. This model is a limited edition of 750 models in
total, 250 of which have a print on top of the cab. All 750 Models
come with a numbered certificate.
Hardenberg Farm Toy Show could
become the second big show in the
Netherlands, along with the LCN. The
organisers told me that they talked with
the LCN, and will now hold a Spring show,
while LCN will hold an Autumn show, as
usual on the 3rd weekend of November.
Visiting these shows in 2022 is still
uncertain due to COVID restrictions, but
we hope to know more soon.

JohnDeere8R410
Expected for a while, the announcement of the John Deere
8R410 from Wiking left us speechless.
Let’s start with the box. I rarely give a lengthy description for
packaging, but for once we have to talk about it. The German
Wiking has completely revised its packaging, finished with
the thin glossy cardboard and the polystyrene box. Instead,
we get thick cardboard to maintain the thumbnail.
The miniature itself as a whole is not too bad but lacks detail
and finish. The chassis is nothing special and really
simplistic. On each side we find the 3-point linkages and at
the level of the front axle we will see the suspension
wishbones imitated, but still oscillating. The wheels are
removable, but the yellow rims are very plastic. On the
contrary, the design of the tires is not unattractive. I also
noted that the rivets are still not painted, which is a shame.
In Focus | 07
For the hood, its imposing appearance is the part that gives the most charm to this
tractor. Its curved lines and grille cut with a projecting line gives it the most beautiful
aesthetic. The lights are not painted, as on the predecessors of the 6R series. Under
the hood, we recognise the engine block is once again very simplistic, just a moulded
block poor in detail. We are far from the time when the radiator and hose were well
differentiated.
The functional cabin is imposing, but the interior lacks finesse. The shiny beige plastic
spoils the miniature a little more. On the other hand, the driver's seat can be swivelled
and the trunk behind the passenger seat opens under the machine’s huge silencer.
The roof is poor in detail, with the lights painted just like the GPS beacon. Translucent
lenses or integrated flat LED flashing lights would have given greater realism.
As usual, Wiking makes no
manufacturing or assembly
defects, but skimps more
and more on the details that
give models a great finish.
The price of the model is not
at all justified and rather
expensive for improved Siku.
08 | FARM DIECAST MAGAZINE
The tipper is well represented and proportioned. Its chassis is
made up of 3 axles, with a ladder fitted to the side. The axles are
equipped with air cushions, and two are equipped with pistons for
mounting during empty transport to avoid contact with the ground.
The crutches are functional and two wheel chocks are recognizable
from their yellow colour. The tipper is articulated thanks to a step
jack which telescopes high enough for optimum tipping.

Announced several months
ago, the Meiller Kipper
Tipping Semi-trailer is
finally here, dedicated to
the construction industry.
Dutch manufacturer MarGe Models has offered us
detailed heavy-duty road vehicles for some time now.
The rear hatch is hinged and moves when the cargo falls
from the tipper. Note the presence of a curtain in the
fold-up position on the upper part.
All-in-all, MarGe Models offers us a beautiful
tipping semi-trailer which competes well with
the TP range coming from their competition.

This Kemper beak is a good surprise
from the Dutch manufacturer MarGe
Models, first offered in yellow with
the New Holland FR forage
harvester. It is also available in the
original colour of the German brand.
The chassis is butterfly folding but a little flexible, with the rod guides coming up to the working position. Be careful to balance it
well when it is mounted on a machine, it could be unfolded easily.
This part is compatible with Katana and John Deere models, but an adapter is provided to fix it on Wiking brand models.
The 9m cutting bar for 12 rows is recreated
very well, with the two feed trees and the
six large discs equipped with yellow and
black saws. The small teeth are very
recognisable, as on the real thing.

MasseyFerguson188
The Massey Ferguson 188 is a beautiful little tractor presented by Replicagri. From the distinctive
grille to the rear linkage, we find all the elements that make a perfect model.
On the upper level is the
beautifully moulded
four-cylinder, 4L, 78HP
engine block, full of
details such as filter
elements and starter. The
engine bonnet is also well
finished with the
recognisable square grille,
with slightly raised lights
typical of the 60s/70s.
In Focus | 11
Under the chassis, the two-wheel drive is
nothing special. The directional front axle is
well proportioned, not too big. The only
downside is that it is not oscillating. At the
front we find the jerrycan mass carrier, which
can be fitted with a block of the same type.
The platform, like the rest of the model, is
highly detailed, with gear lever, manual lift
control, steering wheel accelerator and
toolbox. The seat even has suspension
springs well represented in paintwork.
The rear bodywork is simple but realistic.
Our model includes square rear fenders
fitted with translucent lens lights.
The rear linkage is functional, and the upper
and lower arms are very well made, with the
lower ones connected with chains at the
level of the rear wheel trumpets. The tow
hook is also adjustable in height.
To conclude, Replicagri offers us a
beautiful product with this new
Massey Ferguson, and I think we will
see a few variants as time goes on.

WIKING CASE IH 1455
1:32 SCALE
1:32 SCALE
Announced 2 years ago, here is the Case IH
version of the 1455 signed Wiking, the second
edition after the IH version.
Like its cousin, the new model is rather well
reproduced. The two have many similar parts,
with the notable exception of the totally different
grille.
Under the chassis, we find the transmission shaft
of the front axle and a removable jerrycan mass
block. The wheels are also removable. At the level
of the engine, this model does not offer an
opening to access the block, but does boast
offers two exhaust pipes, one dark grey in colour
with a valve at the end, and another in chrome,
which gives more charm to the thumbnail.
The cabin is well finished with two opening doors.
The interior is decorated with accessories, such as
the large gear levers, typical of the 80s. Behind
those we find the three-point linkage with a
removable hitch ladder.
Unfortunately, I do not own the same model from
Schucco, but it would be interesting to compare
the two manufacturers.
Model Reviews | 15
This Claas Axion 870 Stage V tractor is absolutely
beautiful. This model is the second of the Italian
brand, with its first model similar to that of USK,
with only a few differences. For the cost, ROS has
to review its copy, and certainly the
specifications, because it has nothing to do with
children's models. There is no play in the wheels
and a feeling of fragility when held for
examination.
At the level of the chassis, we find two
three-point linkages on each side and a
directional front axle, thanks to two cylinders. At
the front, the arms fold up for the road, elements
of which are moulded into the mass of the axle.
At the rear, we can clearly distinguish the
different components, such as the cables and the
stabilisers.
The engine cover is perfectly reproduced, with
the microperforated grille giving the most
beautiful effect. Its matte black colour brings it
out wonderfully and reveals the FPT block with a
max power of 295HP. The block is very well made,
and it’s a pleasure to see the different elements
of the radiator, air filter, hoses, and the expansion
tank. All these pieces are separated and not
moulded in one piece, as we have seen for some
time from a certain manufacturer of thumbnail.
Note the presence of different road or work
lights, handrails and even a chrome exhaust
outlet.
The cabin is equipped with a functional door with
the frame crafted independently of the glass, and
not a sticker like on most of the models we know.
The interior of this one is very detailed,
everything is consistent with reality, CEBIS and
CMOTION present, as in the real thing.
The rear of the tractor is rich in detail. The
coupling ladder is surmounted by the distributor
block, and we can distinguish the moulded and
painted relief which differentiates the elements
well. We can even recognise the 7-pin socket for
the lighting. The pneumatic braking system
specific to the mother regulation is easily
recognisable by the bottles stored by the hubs of
the rear wheels.
A mass of 900 kg is sold with the tractor. The
Trelleborg tires are recreated very well to
complete the miniature.
ROS offers us a very good service. Honestly, it's
almost perfect for the price. The only downside is
it's a real shame the front tires are not at all to
scale – they are about 5 mm too large.
A version in 850 will be available from retailers,
with a black version coming soon.

 CONVIO 1380 1:32 SCALE
1:32 SCALE
This Lexion 8600 US is a surprise novelty from
Claas to begin the year. It is the second American
version that Marge Model has offered us.
The huge box is the same as the other 8000
series, but printed with an American and
Canadian flag, indicating the machine’s origins in
Omaha, Nebraska. Inside we find all the European
equipment but with a few special modifications.
Red and green has replaced the grey and black of
the previous model, making this a new colour for
the American market.
To change from the terra trac crawler train,
MerGe offers a version with thinner twin wheels
at the front. The bridge is slightly oscillating and
the pendulum link system is moulded. Two small
springs serve as the suspension.
The cabin is the latest generation with the field
scanner integrated into the roof, with the US flag
adorning the side. The finishes are on point and
the guardrails are very fine, with work and road
lights all along the front edge. The interior is
equipped with all the equipment for operation,
including CMOTION and CBIS, along with a ladder
to descend inside. There is a filling screw
mounted on a spring to show it rises on its own
when the panels of the hopper are raised.
The gateway is totally different from the other
models. It is much longer due to the twin wheels
and equipped with a removable folding ladder.
The covers on the front tank do not open, but the
perforated hoods with lights give a good view of
the engine outlet, the DPF and the exhaust outlet.
The dynamic cooling is very well reproduced
thanks to its photo-cut grid. The air treatment
system is also visible, with the filter bell extended
by a large tube along the radiator and engine.
The hopper is slightly smaller than its European
cousin, at 14,521 litres, with the flexible canvas
giving great realism. The dust vacuum, with its
imposing reach, is also very well made.
The Convio 13.80 cup is an imposing 45cm in
width. Its three carpets are very well reproduced
but rigid. The reels can move up, down, and
forward. Its chassis is equipped with accurate
drive shafts and two support wheels. The trolley is
the basic model with drawbar on the turret. The
cut can be put down and held correctly thanks to
small lugs which hold it on the central beam.
This second American variant is a good piece
from MarGe Models, but personally I think they
could have kept the larger 18,000-litre hopper
and mounted a 5XL chute to really create a
separate model.
PRICE: €189. Limited copies still available.

Announced a little over a year ago by MarGe
Models, this moving floor semi-trailer was
released at the end of 2021. This heavyweight
trailer is worthy of the name and is used for the
transport of goods including, cereals, beets, and
wood chips.
Overall, the trailer is well finished. Under the
chassis we find the three axles that support the
body, as well as various storage boxes and
accessories, such as brake lugs. The body is a
plastic imitation of aluminium, with a surveillance
platform at the front, equipped with guardrails.
In the bottom of the crate, we can see very well
the skids and movable wall for the proper
functioning of unloading. The rear doors are
functional, a hinged wall is removable under the
lower wall to protect the traffic lights, and the
protective tarpaulin has four straps to secure it.
Another rolled tarpaulin is included that can be
fitted to give the effect of tarp rolled and ready
for loading.
Overall, this semi-trailer is not bad but remains
fragile in certain places, such as the anchor points
of the straps. There is a slight concern for ground
clearance, as when it is hitched the front axles do
not touch the ground, but it is just a minor detail.

Announced in the fall of 2021, this Volvo
excavator was one of the flagship pieces to end
the year, with the first copies arriving at the very
beginning of this year. The design is signed IMC,
leader in 1/50 construction models, resold under
the VDM brand.
The miniature itself is impressive, with the
original machine weighs 35-38 tons, depending
on equipment. In other words, we are dealing with
a beautiful, earthmoving excavator.
The chassis is equipped with tile-type tracks, its
train is equipped with functional sprockets, and
steps are present on the side members.
The turret is highly detailed, including the
hydraulic unit which receives all the arrow hoses.
The engine cover opens to give access to the D8
engine block. Many accessories come dressed as
a whole, such as the guardrail mounted with
rear-view mirror and working lights.
The cabin is also very detailed. The functional
door gives a view of the driving position,
equipped with all the elements necessary to
operate the machine.
The arm elements are sturdy, the cylinders strong
enough to keep it in the up position. The hoses
used to supply the auxiliaries, the couplers of
which are easily recognisable, are covered with a
spiral sheath to protect against abrasion.
The zamak bucket is very well finished in its matte
grey paint. It is mounted using two screws that
can be easily removed to change tools.
Overall, we have a very nice piece for a more than
a fair price. The only complaint is that the yellow
paint is not quite covered properly in places.

IN THIS ISSUE 4 Hardenberg Farm Toy Show 2021 8 In Focus 12 Coming Soon 14 Model Reviews Welcome to Farm Diecast magazine! Farm Modeller Magazine has been renamed to reflect the inclusion of the mixed content it will cover. Now you will see farming models and miniatures alongside diecast and plastic kits. I am pleased to announce that Farm Diecast magazine will now be published every month and will be online only. The move to online-only was due to print and postage costs getting too much, but you can still get a hardcopy of this and any future issue through a print-on-demand company. I will be putting the full details on our new website very soon. The magazine will also be FREE from now on. Everyone can view each issue online at www.farm-diecast-magazine.com Each monthly issue will be 20 pages, or even more, depending on how many new models and reviews we need to pack in! We hope you enjoy our new format. James www.farm-diecast-magazine.com | 03
  • 4. 04 | FARM DIECAST MAGAZINE HARDENBERG FARM TOY SHOW 2021 I was very excited when I heard that some Dutch collectors decided to organise a new farm toy show, even in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Albert Nieuwenhuis had this idea and took the risk to organise the 1st Hardenberg Farm Toy Show, held on December 11th 12th 2021. Together with Andres de Hoon, Henk DamWichers, Corina Heimeriks and Melanie Bultink, he started to plan and organise to make a dream come true. Corina took care of the catering, Melanie worked on the floor plan, and Andres took care of the show model and vendors from the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Italy. The organisation built to a crew of 22 people who helped build up the show and everything that went into it. My first thoughts were that you must have courage (and be a little wacky) to organise such a show in a time when you don’t know what government policies may be decided the next day. However, the organisers were lucky, and the show took place… Lucky for them and the collectors! I started my trip very early on the Saturday morning for a three-hour drive to Hardenberg. Armed with my vaccination passport, app, official covid test and all other bells and whistles, I arrived at around 7am at the Amusementenhal in Hardenberg. After a lovely welcome by Albert Nieuwenhuis, Corina Heimeriks and Melanie Bultink, I was allowed to enter the showgrounds. Lots of vendors, foreign and domestic, and exhibitors were very busy to building up their stalls and displays. About 85 vendors and displays from across Europe were on the show, with a lot of diversity in models, scales, ages and conditions. The second hall was a huge display with RC trucks and farm vehicles, the whole line-up of the Fiat 90-Series from back in the days, along with some tractors, including my personal favourite, the Fendt 824 Turboshift. This beautiful display by Hans Sikkema combined current and out-of-production models, all highly detailed and built in small batches by his small company. Above is the multi-purpose 1961-1965 Samecar and a David Brown 1212 with a New Holland Clayson baler. A brilliant combination.
  • 5. Hardernberg Farm Toy Show 2021 | 05 A FIRST LOOK AT EUROPE’S NEWEST FARM TOY SHOW First public presentation of the AVM PUMA 4.0 self-propelled potato harvester, made by Kees van Dijke, Andres de Hoon and Chris Machielsen. Very detailed prototype combining 3D printed and 3D milled parts. The team plan to make 10 versions of this superb model in 2022 that will come with a four-figure price tag. Top: Jordy van der Wal’s New Holland T7.315 with Vredestein Tires and additional parts, towing a converted Wiking Strautmann Tera-Vitesse, shortened to recreate a two-axle Giga Vitesse. Middle: Beautiful conversions by co-owners of Agri Modelbouw, Peter van Graft and Jordy van den Wal, based on a Wiking model, the HAWE DST24 muck spreaders, one on wheels and one on tracks. Bottom: Converted JCB 86C with extended boom and mowing bucket by Mathew Arntz. The show model, a New Holland T7.270 AC “Heritage Edition” made by ROS. This model is a limited edition of 750 models in total, 250 of which have a print on top of the cab. All 750 Models come with a numbered certificate. Hardenberg Farm Toy Show could become the second big show in the Netherlands, along with the LCN. The organisers told me that they talked with the LCN, and will now hold a Spring show, while LCN will hold an Autumn show, as usual on the 3rd weekend of November. Visiting these shows in 2022 is still uncertain due to COVID restrictions, but we hope to know more soon.
  • 6. 06 | FARM DIECAST MAGAZINE IN FOCUS Wiking Reference: 077859 Scale: 1/32 Weight: 580g Dimensions: 201mm W x 90mm W x 138mm H Composition: Metal and plastic JohnDeere8R410 Expected for a while, the announcement of the John Deere 8R410 from Wiking left us speechless. Let’s start with the box. I rarely give a lengthy description for packaging, but for once we have to talk about it. The German Wiking has completely revised its packaging, finished with the thin glossy cardboard and the polystyrene box. Instead, we get thick cardboard to maintain the thumbnail. The miniature itself as a whole is not too bad but lacks detail and finish. The chassis is nothing special and really simplistic. On each side we find the 3-point linkages and at the level of the front axle we will see the suspension wishbones imitated, but still oscillating. The wheels are removable, but the yellow rims are very plastic. On the contrary, the design of the tires is not unattractive. I also noted that the rivets are still not painted, which is a shame.
  • 7. In Focus | 07 For the hood, its imposing appearance is the part that gives the most charm to this tractor. Its curved lines and grille cut with a projecting line gives it the most beautiful aesthetic. The lights are not painted, as on the predecessors of the 6R series. Under the hood, we recognise the engine block is once again very simplistic, just a moulded block poor in detail. We are far from the time when the radiator and hose were well differentiated. The functional cabin is imposing, but the interior lacks finesse. The shiny beige plastic spoils the miniature a little more. On the other hand, the driver's seat can be swivelled and the trunk behind the passenger seat opens under the machine’s huge silencer. The roof is poor in detail, with the lights painted just like the GPS beacon. Translucent lenses or integrated flat LED flashing lights would have given greater realism. As usual, Wiking makes no manufacturing or assembly defects, but skimps more and more on the details that give models a great finish. The price of the model is not at all justified and rather expensive for improved Siku.
  • 8. 08 | FARM DIECAST MAGAZINE The tipper is well represented and proportioned. Its chassis is made up of 3 axles, with a ladder fitted to the side. The axles are equipped with air cushions, and two are equipped with pistons for mounting during empty transport to avoid contact with the ground. The crutches are functional and two wheel chocks are recognizable from their yellow colour. The tipper is articulated thanks to a step jack which telescopes high enough for optimum tipping. IN FOCUS MeillerKipperTipping Semi-trailerMHPS44.3 MarGe Models Reference: aixo510 Scale: 1/32 Weight: 160g Dimensions: 128mm W x 63mm W x 54mm H Composition: Metal and plastic Announced several months ago, the Meiller Kipper Tipping Semi-trailer is finally here, dedicated to the construction industry. Dutch manufacturer MarGe Models has offered us detailed heavy-duty road vehicles for some time now. The rear hatch is hinged and moves when the cargo falls from the tipper. Note the presence of a curtain in the fold-up position on the upper part. All-in-all, MarGe Models offers us a beautiful tipping semi-trailer which competes well with the TP range coming from their competition.
  • 9. In Focus | 09 This Kemper beak is a good surprise from the Dutch manufacturer MarGe Models, first offered in yellow with the New Holland FR forage harvester. It is also available in the original colour of the German brand. The chassis is butterfly folding but a little flexible, with the rod guides coming up to the working position. Be careful to balance it well when it is mounted on a machine, it could be unfolded easily. This part is compatible with Katana and John Deere models, but an adapter is provided to fix it on Wiking brand models. The 9m cutting bar for 12 rows is recreated very well, with the two feed trees and the six large discs equipped with yellow and black saws. The small teeth are very recognisable, as on the real thing. IN FOCUS MarGe Models Reference: 2129 Scale: 1/32 Weight: 325g Dimensions: 280mm W x 80mm W x 42mm H Composition: Metal and plastic Kemper490Mouthpiece
  • 10. 10 | FARM DIECAST MAGAZINE IN FOCUS Replicagri Reference: aixo510 Scale: 1/32 Weight: 160g Dimensions: 128mm W x 63mm W x 54mm H Composition: Metal and plastic MasseyFerguson188 The Massey Ferguson 188 is a beautiful little tractor presented by Replicagri. From the distinctive grille to the rear linkage, we find all the elements that make a perfect model. On the upper level is the beautifully moulded four-cylinder, 4L, 78HP engine block, full of details such as filter elements and starter. The engine bonnet is also well finished with the recognisable square grille, with slightly raised lights typical of the 60s/70s.
  • 11. In Focus | 11 Under the chassis, the two-wheel drive is nothing special. The directional front axle is well proportioned, not too big. The only downside is that it is not oscillating. At the front we find the jerrycan mass carrier, which can be fitted with a block of the same type. The platform, like the rest of the model, is highly detailed, with gear lever, manual lift control, steering wheel accelerator and toolbox. The seat even has suspension springs well represented in paintwork. The rear bodywork is simple but realistic. Our model includes square rear fenders fitted with translucent lens lights. The rear linkage is functional, and the upper and lower arms are very well made, with the lower ones connected with chains at the level of the rear wheel trumpets. The tow hook is also adjustable in height. To conclude, Replicagri offers us a beautiful product with this new Massey Ferguson, and I think we will see a few variants as time goes on.

Like its cousin, the new model is rather well reproduced. The two have many similar parts, with the notable exception of the totally different grille. Under the chassis, we find the transmission shaft of the front axle and a removable jerrycan mass block. The wheels are also removable. At the level of the engine, this model does not offer an opening to access the block, but does boast offers two exhaust pipes, one dark grey in colour with a valve at the end, and another in chrome, which gives more charm to the thumbnail. The cabin is well finished with two opening doors. The interior is decorated with accessories, such as the large gear levers, typical of the 80s. Behind those we find the three-point linkage with a removable hitch ladder. Unfortunately, I do not own the same model from Schucco, but it would be interesting to compare the two manufacturers.
  • 15. Model Reviews | 15 This Claas Axion 870 Stage V tractor is absolutely beautiful. This model is the second of the Italian brand, with its first model similar to that of USK, with only a few differences. For the cost, ROS has to review its copy, and certainly the specifications, because it has nothing to do with children's models. There is no play in the wheels and a feeling of fragility when held for examination. At the level of the chassis, we find two three-point linkages on each side and a directional front axle, thanks to two cylinders. At the front, the arms fold up for the road, elements of which are moulded into the mass of the axle. At the rear, we can clearly distinguish the different components, such as the cables and the stabilisers. The engine cover is perfectly reproduced, with the microperforated grille giving the most beautiful effect. Its matte black colour brings it out wonderfully and reveals the FPT block with a max power of 295HP. The block is very well made, and it’s a pleasure to see the different elements of the radiator, air filter, hoses, and the expansion tank. All these pieces are separated and not moulded in one piece, as we have seen for some time from a certain manufacturer of thumbnail. Note the presence of different road or work lights, handrails and even a chrome exhaust outlet. The cabin is equipped with a functional door with the frame crafted independently of the glass, and not a sticker like on most of the models we know. The interior of this one is very detailed, everything is consistent with reality, CEBIS and CMOTION present, as in the real thing. The rear of the tractor is rich in detail. The coupling ladder is surmounted by the distributor block, and we can distinguish the moulded and painted relief which differentiates the elements well. We can even recognise the 7-pin socket for the lighting. The pneumatic braking system specific to the mother regulation is easily recognisable by the bottles stored by the hubs of the rear wheels. A mass of 900 kg is sold with the tractor. The Trelleborg tires are recreated very well to complete the miniature. ROS offers us a very good service. Honestly, it's almost perfect for the price. The only downside is it's a real shame the front tires are not at all to scale – they are about 5 mm too large. A version in 850 will be available from retailers, with a black version coming soon. It is the second American version that Marge Model has offered us. The huge box is the same as the other 8000 series, but printed with an American and Canadian flag, indicating the machine’s origins in Omaha, Nebraska. Inside we find all the European equipment but with a few special modifications. Red and green has replaced the grey and black of the previous model, making this a new colour for the American market. To change from the terra trac crawler train, MerGe offers a version with thinner twin wheels at the front. The bridge is slightly oscillating and the pendulum link system is moulded. Two small springs serve as the suspension. The cabin is the latest generation with the field scanner integrated into the roof, with the US flag adorning the side. The finishes are on point and the guardrails are very fine, with work and road lights all along the front edge. The interior is equipped with all the equipment for operation, including CMOTION and CBIS, along with a ladder to descend inside. There is a filling screw mounted on a spring to show it rises on its own when the panels of the hopper are raised. The gateway is totally different from the other models. It is much longer due to the twin wheels and equipped with a removable folding ladder. The covers on the front tank do not open, but the perforated hoods with lights give a good view of the engine outlet, the DPF and the exhaust outlet. The dynamic cooling is very well reproduced thanks to its photo-cut grid. The air treatment system is also visible, with the filter bell extended by a large tube along the radiator and engine. The hopper is slightly smaller than its European cousin, at 14,521 litres, with the flexible canvas giving great realism. The dust vacuum, with its imposing reach, is also very well made. The Convio 13.80 cup is an imposing 45cm in width. Its three carpets are very well reproduced but rigid. The reels can move up, down, and forward. Its chassis is equipped with accurate drive shafts and two support wheels. The trolley is the basic model with drawbar on the turret. The cut can be put down and held correctly thanks to small lugs which hold it on the central beam. This second American variant is a good piece from MarGe Models, but personally I think they could have kept the larger 18,000-litre hopper and mounted a 5XL chute to really create a separate model. PRICE: €189. Limited copies still available. This heavyweight trailer is worthy of the name and is used for the transport of goods including, cereals, beets, and wood chips. Overall, the trailer is well finished. Under the chassis we find the three axles that support the body, as well as various storage boxes and accessories, such as brake lugs. The body is a plastic imitation of aluminium, with a surveillance platform at the front, equipped with guardrails. In the bottom of the crate, we can see very well the skids and movable wall for the proper functioning of unloading. The rear doors are functional, a hinged wall is removable under the lower wall to protect the traffic lights, and the protective tarpaulin has four straps to secure it. Another rolled tarpaulin is included that can be fitted to give the effect of tarp rolled and ready for loading. Overall, this semi-trailer is not bad but remains fragile in certain places, such as the anchor points of the straps. There is a slight concern for ground clearance, as when it is hitched the front axles do not touch the ground, but it is just a minor detail.

The design is signed IMC, leader in 1/50 construction models, resold under the VDM brand. The miniature itself is impressive, with the original machine weighs 35-38 tons, depending on equipment. In other words, we are dealing with a beautiful, earthmoving excavator. The chassis is equipped with tile-type tracks, its train is equipped with functional sprockets, and steps are present on the side members. The turret is highly detailed, including the hydraulic unit which receives all the arrow hoses. The engine cover opens to give access to the D8 engine block. Many accessories come dressed as a whole, such as the guardrail mounted with rear-view mirror and working lights. The cabin is also very detailed. The functional door gives a view of the driving position, equipped with all the elements necessary to operate the machine. The arm elements are sturdy, the cylinders strong enough to keep it in the up position. The hoses used to supply the auxiliaries, the couplers of which are easily recognisable, are covered with a spiral sheath to protect against abrasion. The zamak bucket is very well finished in its matte grey paint. It is mounted using two screws that can be easily removed to change tools. Overall, we have a very nice piece for a more than a fair price. The only complaint is that the yellow paint is not quite covered properly in places.
