2. These are year 1-7s working
together to make paper
mache. I like working with my
group because they focus and
they listen to me when I want
them to. The little kids loved
paper macheing their tin cans.
They loved participating in
everything. They always have a
good attitude.

I like working with the older kids
because we do experiments. It was
fun when we wrapped paper around
cans. I learnt how to make plastic. I
like working in a group because I
bounce ideas around the group.

3. This is some year 1-8 students writing about
the rain experiment they were working on.
Everyone got involved and were intrigued by
the experiments. The junior kids made the
seniors think a lot harder, and made some
interesting statements and lots of good
ideas.

My favourite experiment was when we had
to sort through the rubbish because I liked
sorting the rubbish out. I also liked writing
and drawing pictures of the rubbish. It was
fun when we put the gloves on because they
felt weird.

4. This is year 0-7 students working together to
make plastic. This was a science experiment
we did amongst the school. The younger
children of the group were very enthusiastic
and wanted to have a go. They did a good job
and were very good. Their ideas were
different from the older kids and gave us
some different thoughts. The younger children
made us older kids think a lot harder and
deeper in what we were doing.

I like working with the older kids in science as it
is fun and I learn lots from them. The best part
about making the plastic was smelling it because
it smelt yuk. I like working in a group as I can
share ideas with my friends. I learnt that you
shouldn’t throw away stuff when you can reuse.

6. Bella likes working in a group more than working by herself.
She has also enjoyed working together and doing group activities
a lot.
Bella’s favourite science project was doing the paper mache on
the cans.
She likes working in a group because she like she likes to put
hers and others ideas together.
So far we have paper mached cans, sorted rubbish into different
piles and also done an experiment about making rain.
