Criminal Justice Process Paper
In the United States, the criminal justice system is a combination of laws and institutions. Laws are to be enforced in order for society to work
appropriately as a whole. The many institutions of the criminal justice system include law enforcement, juvenile and adult courts, and correctional
facilities. It is a unique system that has developed a specific process to serve justice. It is however, a process that is not without its faults. In order to
protect and serve the many different faces of society, the process is structured to ensure the justice system continues to flow in the proper direction.
Throughout this paper, I will summarize all the steps between arrest, pre–trial, trial, and appeals. I will explain the contingencies for each stage...show

We cannot simply use incarceration as a crutch that must be used simply because it has been used for years. Instead, we need to understand the vast
array of alternatives such as probation, home detention, and community service. To help decrease funding and overcrowding, these alternative options
can be used on less severe crimes. There are criminals behind bars serving a life sentence for non–violent crimes. These sentences need to be reviewed

Writing and Process Essay
Process essays are essays that explain to the audience how to do something or how to complete a task. This may involve explaining how to put
items or ingredients together to make a finished product, such as in a recipe. These essays can also explain how to accomplish a goal. For example,
a process essay could detail the steps that must be taken in order to graduate from a particular college. Regardless of the subject, all process essays
must clearly explain in detail how to complete or perform a task. Instructions 1. Plan the essay. It is helpful to use an outline format in order to map out

The Writing Process Essay
The Writing Process
Writing a paper on the writing process is pretty hard. The writing process is different from one person to another. You come across questions like,
'What exactly is the writing process?'; and 'Must you follow one persons writing process if yours is different?'; This is where I came across the
answer to my questions, write however you wish to write. If one person likes free write first and another person likes to write a draft first, let them do
how they please.
The writing process is something that you figure out yourself as you go through school. I personally think that is why they make us take English for so
many years. Through the years, I found that some teachers forced you to write certain ways. I believe that...show more content...
I don't agree with him. The only way for someone to improve his or her writing is if a peer reads over it and explains what could be done to improve it.
In The Maker's Eye: Revising Your Own Manuscript, Murray says, 'Writers must learn to be their own worst enemy'; (Murray 87). He is trying to
say that when it comes to editing, you must be able to accept criticism from others and be suspicious of it. Just because they say that you should
rearrange that paragraph doesn't necessarily mean you have to. The way you wrote the paragraph could be in your own voice.
Your papers should be filled with your voice. Voice is what makes your writing personal. But your voice could be different depending on what you
write about. I would put a lot more of my feelings in a paper about food, than a paper about how the polar ice caps are melting.
Revising and rewriting a paper is a common step in the writing process. Personally, I think your paper would be crap if you skipped these steps but
I'm sure someone has done it before. Every writer has revised and rewritten a paper. Do you think that Shakespeare wrote Romeo and Juliet in one
shot? I don't think so.
In conclusion, writing is up to the writer. If the writer decides to follow the formal writing process, then that's their choice. Nothing should be forced
when it comes to writing. Then the writer does not put out their best work possible. Thank you for reading my

Reflection About My Writing Process
My writing processes nowadays have changed thank you to my English 100 level class at Arizona Western College, I feel more confident with my
writing style. At the beginning of the class I was very confused with the writing process and the steps to make an essay. I had a difficult time
developing an outline and putting together my ideas, so I was not able to write an essay with a good structure. In addition, my grammar was not the
best, and some of my sentences were incomplete. During the class period I learned about grammar, how to write complete sentences, how to
brainstorm and the importance of an outline. It has become easier for me to organize my ideas in order to develop a well–structured essay. An essay
should contain a topic, one thesis, body paragraphs that support the thesis, and a conclusion. The thesis will tell the reader what is the writer
purpose of the essay, the body paragraphs support the thesis and the topic sentences of each one. Least but not last, I learned the importance of a
peer review, this process was very helpful in the class because I was able to receive constructive feedback from my classmates, and I was able to
improve my papers with the suggestions that my classmates gave me on my drafts. In this class I learned about three type of essays; narrative,
process, and persuasive essay. The narrative essay is used to tell a story, it is chronological, and usually involves the writerВґs point of view, and
feelings. The narrative essay has a lot of details to get the reader involve in the story, and make it more interesting. The process essay is used to
describe how to do something or how something occurs. For example; how to accomplish an activity, task, operation, etc. The process essay uses
body paragraphs to describe the steps needed to complete or finish the activity. The persuasive essay is used to convince the reader to believe or
adopt certain type of view. The persuasive essay uses arguments and facts to make the reader believe an idea by using logic and critical thinking. I
believe the persuasive essay is the most difficult one to write compared to the narrative and process essay because it is very difficult to focus on one
belief and change peopleВґs opinions regarding

The Design Process Essay examples
The design process Design may be defined as the methodical approach to the solution of a problem. Fundamentally, the purpose of good
engineering design is to create an end product which will not only function efficiently, but will also be a commercial success. Except in the simplest
of cases, the design process is a very complicated procedure requiring the services of a number of highly trained personnel. The main steps in
designing a product may follow the pattern illustrated below. Demand Before anything can be sold there must be someone who is prepared to buy it.
A satisfied customer is one of the best salesmen a firm can have. It is...show more content...
Thus, to increase the potential market, the product should be as adaptable as possible. It is important, therefore, to visualize all the likely
combinations for which a new design may be used. Work on a new design will commence once it has been established that the potential market
justifies the cost of development. Possible solutions After establishing exactly what the new product is to be used for, the design team must not be
satisfied with taking the first solution that comes to mind, and then attempting a number of modifications so that it satisfies most of the requirements.
To do so would restrict their ideas and probably result in a poor design. In practice, a good designer will sketch and, if necessary, lay out as many
different solutions as possible, and then reject all inferior designs. In coming to his decision, he would take into account the following major factors:
(a)Principle of operation and manufacture; (b)Requirements of customer; (c)Outside influences (e.g., competitive products). At this early stage, the
designer would probably make some basic calculations, and, perhaps, also make use of experimental techniques and mock–ups to help verify his
analysis. When comparing designs, those having the simplest working principle should be preferred, provided they satisfy the requirements adequately
and do not involve additional problems, such as excessively large parts.

Have you ever compared store bought lasagna to a home–made one? There is no comparison, home–made wins every time. It may seem like a hassle to
make your own, but in reality it is not that difficult. You will also be more satisfied in the quality and taste of your lasagna if you make it yourself.
It's a great meal to share with your family or just to save in the refrigerator and eat throughout the week. If you are conscious about your health this
lasagna will be good to make because it uses chicken not meat. In order to make this lasagna you need to gather your ingredients, prepare the

After the noodles are fully cooked drain them with your strainer and set them aside. Also drain the chicken, leaving the onion and garlic in the pot
because you won't need them after that. When the chicken cools off start shredding it into the other bowl you brought out. Mix in the marina sauce
with the shredded chicken until the chicken is evenly coated. You've prepared your ingredients now it's time to put everything together.
No lasagna looks perfect so instead of trying to make it look perfect, focus on getting as much pasta, chicken and cheese as you can in there. Prepare
your pan by spraying it with cooking spray so nothing sticks. Start off by laying down three or four (depending on your pan size) noodles
diagonally down into your pan. Grab the ricotta cheese mixture and evenly spread it on the noodles. After the noodles are covered with cheese begin
to spread the chicken and marina sauce on top of the cheese. Finally, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken then repeat the
previous four steps until there is no room left in the pan. Once your pan is completely full cover it tightly in foil paper, and put it in the oven. Let the
lasagna cook for about an hour, then remove the foil and put it back into the oven for about ten minutes. Once the lasagna is done cooking take it out,
let it cool, and then serve it.
Now that you see the entire process of making lasagna you can see how simple it

Abstract
Information Processing Theory
The information processing theory is a group of theoretical frame works that address how the human beings receive, think about, mentally, modify and
remember information and how such cognitive processes change over the course of development. (Child development pg.186) Information processing
theory emerged in the late 1950s and early 1960s and has continued to evolve in the decades that have followed. (Child development pg.186)
The five key components in the information process theory are sensation, perception, sensory register, working memory, and long–term memory.
Sensation is the physiological...show more content...
Then the information goes to working memory, which allows that active information to stay around for a few seconds. After that, in–depth processing
begins making connections between new information and existing knowledge through rehearsal, organization, and elaboration. Last is the long–term
memory which now stores the information for retrieval at a later day and time. Input from the environment is what keeps information going in the
model.
As a child grows, the child's information becomes more complex, the distractions start to decrease and the attention span becomes longer. Children
begin to process more and more and faster.
The information process theory is used by researchers to study cognitive development in children. They have focused on areas such as the gradual
improvements in children's ability to take in information and focus selectively on certain parts of it and their increase attention spans and capacity for
memory storage. (Ken R. Wells, healthofchildren.com)

The nursing process Essay
The standards of practice describe a competent level of nursing care as exhibited by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This
practice includes the areas of assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nursing process includes
significant actions taken by registered nurses (RN) and forms the foundation of the nurse's decision–making ("American Nurses Association," 2010).

It is during the second phase that the nurse must establish a nursing diagnosis. Only diagnosis approved and listed through The North American
Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) may be used. Ineffective airway clearance, risk for impaired skin integrity, risk for infection and ineffective
coping are just a few examples of NANDA approved diagnosis. A nursing diagnosis is a clinical judgment about actual or potential individual, family, or
community experiences/responses to health problems/life processes. A nursing diagnosis provides the basis for selection of nursing interventions to
achieve outcomes for which the nurse has accountability (Defining the Knowledge," 2012). The third standard of practice is outcomes identification.
During this phase, the registered nurse identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation ("American Nurses
Association," 2010). During this step outcomes must be derived from the nursing diagnosis and must be measurable, realistic and attainable by the
patient. The registered nurse involves the patient, family, heath care providers, and others in formulating expected outcomes when possible and
appropriate. The registered nurse must also consider associated risks, benefits, costs, current scientific evidence, expected trajectory of the condition,
and clinical expertise when formulating outcomes ("American Nurses Association," 2010). Example of an

Communication Process
Introduction
Communication establishes relationships and makes organizing possible. Every message has a purpose or objective. The sender intends –– whether
consciously or unconsciously –– to accomplish something by communicating. In organizational contexts, messages typically have a definite objective:
to motivate, to inform, to teach, to persuade, to entertain, or to inspire. This definite purpose is, in fact, one of the principal differences between casual
conversation and managerial communication. Effective communication in the organization centers on well–defined objectives that support the

e.g. as a sender, the supervisor should define the purpose of the message, construct each message with the receiver in mind.
Encoding: It is the process of translating the intended meaning into symbols (which includes words and gestures). The person who gets the thought or

Channel: The medium/channel is the means of communication or a way to convey the message, such as print, mass, electrical, and digital. Factors to

important to choose the appropriate medium for a particular message, as this will highly influence the feedback process.

Due Process Essay
Due Process
The phrase "innocent until proven guilty" has been quoted for many years. In our society, we have labeled the accused person either guilty or not
guilty without giving that person or persons their rith of due process. Webster's New World College Dictionary Fourth Edition says: "Due Process is
the course of legal proceedings established by the legal system of a nation or state to protect individual rights and liberties." Due Process will allow
an accused person time to go through the court proceeding, in hope of proving his or her innocence or guilt. Due Process will give the individuals
who have been accused of a crime the right to a fair and public trial, the right to be at the trial, the rith to an impartial jury, and the...show more content...
A jury trial is made up of twelve citizens of the community who have been randomly selected to serve on the jury. The jury had been given the
authority to judge the facts of the case, and them apply the law that was given by the judge to those facts, and render a verdict of guilty or not guilty.
During the jury trial, the accused person will be represented either by a paid lawyer of his or her choice or by a court–appointed one. During the trial it
is solely upon the prosecution to prove the guilt of the accused person, and it is up to the accused person and his representation to rebut the
information the prosecution presents. When the jury has heard all of the evidence against the accused person, they will decide on whether the
person is guilty or not guilty. If the accused person is found guilty by the jury, he or she will be sentenced according to the law. If the accused person
is found not guilty by the jury, he or she will be able to return back into society as a free person.
As we can see, due process has changed our justice system from hastily–prosecution to time consuming investigation of all the facts. We should stop
pre–judging the accused person until all of the facts are made known unto us. Due process has given all accused citizens an equal opportunity to tell
their story, and the right to question the evidence that was brought against them. Even though due process has guaranteed the accused person his or her

The email was a bad decision because people might not go through the trouble of filling out the word file. The paper format will certainly not work
because it would be hard to distribute out to all users and Luke would have to do all the work. I suggested the group that we should do online survey.
One of the things that worked well in our group was the willingness of those in the group to listen to each other and entertain various viewpoints. I
think that mutual respect is the key when working with groups. Each of us played different roles in the group: some of us were listeners, some of us
were leaders, and some who were initially listeners became leaders as the group went on. Within our group we had different personality types and
communication styles.
Because we did not begin with an assigned or designated leader, different types of power showed up in each person's leadership as a result of
personalities and previous experience. The team roles were adopted informally by all the team members. The leadership role was not formally
assigned so everyone just worked on their assigned asks. We trusted each other for completing the tasks. However, leaders emerged in the group as
leading email discussion, leading face to face group discussion, or leading discussion on webct. I developed initial task role of contributor by

various components of procurement throughout the project's life cycle. Specifically speaking, the procurement management plan refers to the plan that
has been put into place that is meant to dictate and describe the entirety of the procurement process and how it is means to relate to and with the
developing procurement documentation, and how contract closure will relate to all. The procurement management plan should be implemented and
developed as early in the project life cycle as possible to assure that the procurement process is consistent throughout, however, in some cases the plan
may be altered once the project begins, particularly if budgetary reasons dictate.
A Fixed Price contract provides for a price which normally is not subject to any adjustment unless certain provisions are included in the agreement, such

My Research Process Paper
When you hear the word "process," what comes to mind? I immediately envision an assembly line. On the assembly line are people following the
same steps over and over again to produce a final product. When writing, we do the same thing; however, we do it in a less stringent manner. We start
with research and then follow the steps of the assembly line until we produce a final product, a written paper. Throughout this examination, I will
discuss three of many steps in my research process for last weeks written assignment. Every paper has a beginning and an end. The research process
required to write that paper is no different. When writing my first paper for English 201 I had to find my beginning. My step one of the assembly line

Step #2: Alternative Goals and Plans–"based on the situational analysis, the planning process should generate alternative goals that may be pursued in
the future and the alternative plans that may be used to achieve those goals" (Bateman & Snell, 2007). A lot of our goals set at work are not just to
be sure that all customers are happy but also that they know if there's something that has not instantly been put into effect that we are still in the

Listening Process Essay
Listening is one of the most powerful tools of communication and is a process that is used to receive, convey a meaning, and respond to both verbal
and nonverbal messages. It is what we choose to do and it requires more work than speaking. Oftentimes, people simply misunderstand the difference
between listening and hearing. Hearing is a passive process that takes in sounds and noises and listening is what you choose to do. This selective
process includes 5 phases that can be acquired for us to become effective listeners in the future. The 5 phases are attending, understanding,

The last two factors of attending are to resist tuning out and avoid interruptions. When it comes to tuning out and interrupting, I have a huge dilemma
while communicating with others. Back in high school, that was one thing that I was good at; tuning out. I even still struggled with it coming into
college. In my first semester at Nassau Community College, a student asked me what we had to get done on a class assignment and I had completely
tuned out because I got easily distracted by thinking about what I needed to do when I got home. I knew that tuning out was not a pleasant idea and I
should change that before it got out of hand. I keep a constant reminder that blocking mixed thoughts and distractions will accredit me to improve in
this area of the listening process. Avoiding interruptions has always been an issue and still is to this day. It only occurs when I'm with family and/or
friends but never at school or with teachers. During an encounter with a friend, she was talking about how we don't spend enough time hanging out and
after a single minute, I interrupted her with a tangential response. Interrupting interferes with attending and tends to be a barrier for most school–going
students. If we want to prevent interruptions from happening, turn–taking should be greatly put into consideration. The next time I communicate with
family or friends, I need to keep in mind to patiently wait until it's my turn to speak.

The second stage of design thinking is frameworks the design problem: this phase requires processing and a large amount of information –which is
collected from the observation phase– but at the same time being able to see what is missing for the customers and users information. The ultimate
purpose of the framing phase is to reframe the design problem, to come up with a new story to tell about how the user might solve his or her problem,
or to come up with a new way of seeing problem, to identify interesting dimension, to identifying and formulation the goals, to identifying external and
internal constrains (Oxman, 1997, p. 344), to create design brief –outline programme– and time lines and providing the boundaries of the design field
(Archer, 1984, p. 67; Cross, 2006, p. 32).
After framing and reframing the problem, the design innovation process moves to the third stage:

If someone in your family is graduation from high school or college soon, make sure that you celebrate this achievement with a graduation party. A
large part of a great graduation party is creating the right ambiance. Choose one of the great ideas below for your graduation table decorations.
Chalkboard Easels
At each table, you can set up a chalkboard easel. You can purchase mini chalkboard easels at your local craft store.
In order to make the chalkboard easels more festive, you can attach a mini diploma to each easel. All you need to do is purchase a roll of parchment
paper. Take the parchment paper and roll it up. Tie the parchment paper with a ribbon in the school colors of your graduate, and tie it onto the easel.

In order to stay with the graduation theme, purchase scrapbook paper in the school colors of your graduate. If your graduate's school colors are darker,
you can purchase cream colored paper to write on. Take the cards and cut them out into card–like shapes; if you have craft scissors that cut in fun
patterns, this is a great time to use them. If your graduate's colors are too dark to write on, cut out a slightly smaller square and glue the lighter colored
paper in the middle.
Once you have the cards assembled, use your most colorful pens and best handwriting to fill each card up with one thing that your graduate has
accomplished over the past four years. When you have filled up all the cards, stick them on the photo holders and place them on the tables.
In order to make your table decorations a little more interactive, you can leave blank cards as well as pens each table for guests to write down either an
accomplishment they remember that your graduate has achieved or a memory that they have with your graduate.
In order to make your table decorations for your graduation party both fun and interactive, choose one of the two ideas listed above, or use both ideas
at your party. The key is to keep the focus on the person who you are celebrating, and make sure that the event is fun for

Criminal Justice Process Paper

  • 1. Criminal Justice Process Paper In the United States, the criminal justice system is a combination of laws and institutions. Laws are to be enforced in order for society to work appropriately as a whole. The many institutions of the criminal justice system include law enforcement, juvenile and adult courts, and correctional facilities. It is a unique system that has developed a specific process to serve justice. It is however, a process that is not without its faults. In order to protect and serve the many different faces of society, the process is structured to ensure the justice system continues to flow in the proper direction. Throughout this paper, I will summarize all the steps between arrest, pre–trial, trial, and appeals. I will explain the contingencies for each stage...show more content... We cannot simply use incarceration as a crutch that must be used simply because it has been used for years. Instead, we need to understand the vast array of alternatives such as probation, home detention, and community service. To help decrease funding and overcrowding, these alternative options can be used on less severe crimes. There are criminals behind bars serving a life sentence for non–violent crimes. These sentences need to be reviewed and determine if they were justified or Get more content on HelpWriting.net

This may involve explaining how to put items or ingredients together to make a finished product, such as in a recipe. These essays can also explain how to accomplish a goal. For example, a process essay could detail the steps that must be taken in order to graduate from a particular college. Regardless of the subject, all process essays must clearly explain in detail how to complete or perform a task. Instructions 1. Plan the essay. • 3. The Writing Process Essay The Writing Process Writing a paper on the writing process is pretty hard. The writing process is different from one person to another. You come across questions like, 'What exactly is the writing process?'; and 'Must you follow one persons writing process if yours is different?'; This is where I came across the answer to my questions, write however you wish to write. If one person likes free write first and another person likes to write a draft first, let them do how they please. The writing process is something that you figure out yourself as you go through school. I personally think that is why they make us take English for so many years. He is trying to say that when it comes to editing, you must be able to accept criticism from others and be suspicious of it. Just because they say that you should rearrange that paragraph doesn't necessarily mean you have to. The way you wrote the paragraph could be in your own voice. Your papers should be filled with your voice. Voice is what makes your writing personal. But your voice could be different depending on what you write about. I would put a lot more of my feelings in a paper about food, than a paper about how the polar ice caps are melting. Revising and rewriting a paper is a common step in the writing process. Personally, I think your paper would be crap if you skipped these steps but I'm sure someone has done it before. Every writer has revised and rewritten a paper. Do you think that Shakespeare wrote Romeo and Juliet in one shot? I don't think so. In conclusion, writing is up to the writer. If the writer decides to follow the formal writing process, then that's their choice. Nothing should be forced when it comes to writing. Then the writer does not put out their best work possible. • 4. Reflection About My Writing Process My writing processes nowadays have changed thank you to my English 100 level class at Arizona Western College, I feel more confident with my writing style. At the beginning of the class I was very confused with the writing process and the steps to make an essay. I had a difficult time developing an outline and putting together my ideas, so I was not able to write an essay with a good structure. In addition, my grammar was not the best, and some of my sentences were incomplete. During the class period I learned about grammar, how to write complete sentences, how to brainstorm and the importance of an outline. It has become easier for me to organize my ideas in order to develop a well–structured essay. An essay should contain a topic, one thesis, body paragraphs that support the thesis, and a conclusion. The thesis will tell the reader what is the writer purpose of the essay, the body paragraphs support the thesis and the topic sentences of each one. Least but not last, I learned the importance of a peer review, this process was very helpful in the class because I was able to receive constructive feedback from my classmates, and I was able to improve my papers with the suggestions that my classmates gave me on my drafts. In this class I learned about three type of essays; narrative, process, and persuasive essay. The narrative essay is used to tell a story, it is chronological, and usually involves the writerВґs point of view, and feelings. The narrative essay has a lot of details to get the reader involve in the story, and make it more interesting. The process essay is used to describe how to do something or how something occurs. For example; how to accomplish an activity, task, operation, etc. The process essay uses body paragraphs to describe the steps needed to complete or finish the activity. The persuasive essay is used to convince the reader to believe or adopt certain type of view. The persuasive essay uses arguments and facts to make the reader believe an idea by using logic and critical thinking. I believe the persuasive essay is the most difficult one to write compared to the narrative and process essay because it is very difficult to focus on one belief and change peopleВґs opinions regarding Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. The Design Process Essay examples The design process Design may be defined as the methodical approach to the solution of a problem. Fundamentally, the purpose of good engineering design is to create an end product which will not only function efficiently, but will also be a commercial success. Except in the simplest of cases, the design process is a very complicated procedure requiring the services of a number of highly trained personnel. The main steps in designing a product may follow the pattern illustrated below. Demand Before anything can be sold there must be someone who is prepared to buy it. A satisfied customer is one of the best salesmen a firm can have. It is...show more content... Thus, to increase the potential market, the product should be as adaptable as possible. It is important, therefore, to visualize all the likely combinations for which a new design may be used. Work on a new design will commence once it has been established that the potential market justifies the cost of development. Possible solutions After establishing exactly what the new product is to be used for, the design team must not be satisfied with taking the first solution that comes to mind, and then attempting a number of modifications so that it satisfies most of the requirements. To do so would restrict their ideas and probably result in a poor design. In practice, a good designer will sketch and, if necessary, lay out as many different solutions as possible, and then reject all inferior designs. In coming to his decision, he would take into account the following major factors: (a)Principle of operation and manufacture; (b)Requirements of customer; (c)Outside influences (e.g., competitive products). At this early stage, the designer would probably make some basic calculations, and, perhaps, also make use of experimental techniques and mock–ups to help verify his analysis. When comparing designs, those having the simplest working principle should be preferred, provided they satisfy the requirements adequately and do not involve additional problems, such as excessively large parts. It may seem like a hassle to make your own, but in reality it is not that difficult. You will also be more satisfied in the quality and taste of your lasagna if you make it yourself. It's a great meal to share with your family or just to save in the refrigerator and eat throughout the week. If you are conscious about your health this lasagna will be good to make because it uses chicken not meat. After the noodles are fully cooked drain them with your strainer and set them aside. Also drain the chicken, leaving the onion and garlic in the pot because you won't need them after that. When the chicken cools off start shredding it into the other bowl you brought out. Mix in the marina sauce with the shredded chicken until the chicken is evenly coated. You've prepared your ingredients now it's time to put everything together. No lasagna looks perfect so instead of trying to make it look perfect, focus on getting as much pasta, chicken and cheese as you can in there. Prepare your pan by spraying it with cooking spray so nothing sticks. Start off by laying down three or four (depending on your pan size) noodles diagonally down into your pan. Grab the ricotta cheese mixture and evenly spread it on the noodles. After the noodles are covered with cheese begin to spread the chicken and marina sauce on top of the cheese. Finally, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken then repeat the previous four steps until there is no room left in the pan. Once your pan is completely full cover it tightly in foil paper, and put it in the oven. Let the lasagna cook for about an hour, then remove the foil and put it back into the oven for about ten minutes. Once the lasagna is done cooking take it out, let it cool, and then serve it. • 7. Essay about Information Processing Theory Information Processing Theory Selicia Whidbee–Denmon AED202 April 1, 2012 Tracey Morgado Abstract Information Processing Theory The information processing theory is a group of theoretical frame works that address how the human beings receive, think about, mentally, modify and remember information and how such cognitive processes change over the course of development. (Child development pg.186) Information processing theory emerged in the late 1950s and early 1960s and has continued to evolve in the decades that have followed. (Child development pg.186) The five key components in the information process theory are sensation, perception, sensory register, working memory, and long–term memory. Sensation is the physiological...show more content... Then the information goes to working memory, which allows that active information to stay around for a few seconds. After that, in–depth processing begins making connections between new information and existing knowledge through rehearsal, organization, and elaboration. Last is the long–term memory which now stores the information for retrieval at a later day and time. Input from the environment is what keeps information going in the model. As a child grows, the child's information becomes more complex, the distractions start to decrease and the attention span becomes longer. Children begin to process more and more and faster. The information process theory is used by researchers to study cognitive development in children. They have focused on areas such as the gradual improvements in children's ability to take in information and focus selectively on certain parts of it and their increase attention spans and capacity for memory storage. (Ken R. Wells, healthofchildren.com) Infants–two years old As babies come into the world, they learn to use their senses to explore the world around them. Most newborns focus on and follow objects. Babies also see all colors, then they start recognizing faces and they also start imitating facial expressions of others. My four month old baby did see the

This practice includes the areas of assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nursing process includes significant actions taken by registered nurses (RN) and forms the foundation of the nurse's decision–making ("American Nurses Association," 2010). Assessment is the accurate collection of comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation ("American Nurses Association," 2010). It is during the second phase that the nurse must establish a nursing diagnosis. Only diagnosis approved and listed through The North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) may be used. Ineffective airway clearance, risk for impaired skin integrity, risk for infection and ineffective coping are just a few examples of NANDA approved diagnosis. A nursing diagnosis is a clinical judgment about actual or potential individual, family, or community experiences/responses to health problems/life processes. A nursing diagnosis provides the basis for selection of nursing interventions to achieve outcomes for which the nurse has accountability (Defining the Knowledge," 2012). The third standard of practice is outcomes identification. During this phase, the registered nurse identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation ("American Nurses Association," 2010). During this step outcomes must be derived from the nursing diagnosis and must be measurable, realistic and attainable by the patient. The registered nurse involves the patient, family, heath care providers, and others in formulating expected outcomes when possible and appropriate. The registered nurse must also consider associated risks, benefits, costs, current scientific evidence, expected trajectory of the condition, and clinical expertise when formulating outcomes ("American Nurses Association," 2010). The sender intends –– whether consciously or unconsciously –– to accomplish something by communicating. In organizational contexts, messages typically have a definite objective: to motivate, to inform, to teach, to persuade, to entertain, or to inspire. The jury had been given the authority to judge the facts of the case, and them apply the law that was given by the judge to those facts, and render a verdict of guilty or not guilty. During the jury trial, the accused person will be represented either by a paid lawyer of his or her choice or by a court–appointed one. During the trial it is solely upon the prosecution to prove the guilt of the accused person, and it is up to the accused person and his representation to rebut the information the prosecution presents. When the jury has heard all of the evidence against the accused person, they will decide on whether the person is guilty or not guilty. If the accused person is found guilty by the jury, he or she will be sentenced according to the law. If the accused person is found not guilty by the jury, he or she will be able to return back into society as a free person. As we can see, due process has changed our justice system from hastily–prosecution to time consuming investigation of all the facts. We should stop pre–judging the accused person until all of the facts are made known unto us. Due process has given all accused citizens an equal opportunity to tell their story, and the right to question the evidence that was brought against them. Even though due process has guaranteed the accused person his or her right to be heard Get more content on HelpWriting.net

We were committed to working together to be successful because our class experience and grade was related to successfully completing this assignment. Our team worked together collaboratively to analyze the issue and to plan for an organized presentation. When we began our meeting, we knew that we wanted our end–results to be some sort of solution and action plan for the assignment given. All of our members were competent and each contributed valuable input to the discussion. The email was a bad decision because people might not go through the trouble of filling out the word file. The paper format will certainly not work because it would be hard to distribute out to all users and Luke would have to do all the work. I suggested the group that we should do online survey. One of the things that worked well in our group was the willingness of those in the group to listen to each other and entertain various viewpoints. I think that mutual respect is the key when working with groups. Each of us played different roles in the group: some of us were listeners, some of us were leaders, and some who were initially listeners became leaders as the group went on. Within our group we had different personality types and communication styles. Because we did not begin with an assigned or designated leader, different types of power showed up in each person's leadership as a result of personalities and previous experience. The team roles were adopted informally by all the team members. The leadership role was not formally assigned so everyone just worked on their assigned asks. We trusted each other for completing the tasks. However, leaders emerged in the group as leading email discussion, leading face to face group discussion, or leading discussion on webct. I developed initial task role of contributor by suggesting online survey. After the surveys were Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Once the Procurement Plan is defined and agreed upon, any changes to the Scope require formal change management as described in the Integration Process. The most valuable output of the Plan Procurement Process is the Procurement Management Plan. As is the case with almost every aspect of the project management process, it is essential and imperative that the project management team implement an effective and concise plan when it comes to the various components of procurement throughout the project's life cycle. Specifically speaking, the procurement management plan refers to the plan that has been put into place that is meant to dictate and describe the entirety of the procurement process and how it is means to relate to and with the developing procurement documentation, and how contract closure will relate to all. The procurement management plan should be implemented and developed as early in the project life cycle as possible to assure that the procurement process is consistent throughout, however, in some cases the plan may be altered once the project begins, particularly if budgetary reasons dictate. A Fixed Price contract provides for a price which normally is not subject to any adjustment unless certain provisions are included in the agreement, such as contract change, economic pricing, or defective pricing. These contracts are negotiated usually where reasonably definite specifications are available, and costs can be estimated with reasonable accuracy. A

On the assembly line are people following the same steps over and over again to produce a final product. When writing, we do the same thing; however, we do it in a less stringent manner. We start with research and then follow the steps of the assembly line until we produce a final product, a written paper. Throughout this examination, I will discuss three of many steps in my research process for last weeks written assignment. Every paper has a beginning and an end. The research process required to write that paper is no different. When writing my first paper for English 201 I had to find my beginning. My step one of the assembly line was determining the best location to conduct my research. Did I want to go to the library or could I start my research at home? Since the first assignment was about online learning, a trip to the library was not required. I would conduct online research for this paper. Therefore, reading about the impacts of online education in 1994 would be vastly different than reading an article written in 2010 or later. Other options were rejected for lack of credability. Since Wikipedia can be edited by any user I immediately rejected the idea of conducting research there. Step #2: Alternative Goals and Plans–"based on the situational analysis, the planning process should generate alternative goals that may be pursued in the future and the alternative plans that may be used to achieve those goals" (Bateman & Snell, 2007). A lot of our goals set at work are not just to be sure that all customers are happy but also that they know if there's something that has not instantly been put into effect that we are still in the process of doing so. It may be something that takes a little more financial effort as well as time. We state the following to the customer when this is brought to our attention, "As of now we are relocating to another facility, fortunately we will be in a bigger building that will also have a car wash available. Listening Process Essay Listening is one of the most powerful tools of communication and is a process that is used to receive, convey a meaning, and respond to both verbal and nonverbal messages. It is what we choose to do and it requires more work than speaking. Oftentimes, people simply misunderstand the difference between listening and hearing. Hearing is a passive process that takes in sounds and noises and listening is what you choose to do. This selective process includes 5 phases that can be acquired for us to become effective listeners in the future. The 5 phases are attending, understanding, remembering, critically evaluating (listening), and responding. The last two factors of attending are to resist tuning out and avoid interruptions. When it comes to tuning out and interrupting, I have a huge dilemma while communicating with others. Back in high school, that was one thing that I was good at; tuning out. I even still struggled with it coming into college. In my first semester at Nassau Community College, a student asked me what we had to get done on a class assignment and I had completely tuned out because I got easily distracted by thinking about what I needed to do when I got home. I knew that tuning out was not a pleasant idea and I should change that before it got out of hand. I keep a constant reminder that blocking mixed thoughts and distractions will accredit me to improve in this area of the listening process. Avoiding interruptions has always been an issue and still is to this day. It only occurs when I'm with family and/or friends but never at school or with teachers. During an encounter with a friend, she was talking about how we don't spend enough time hanging out and after a single minute, I interrupted her with a tangential response. Interrupting interferes with attending and tends to be a barrier for most school–going students. If we want to prevent interruptions from happening, turn–taking should be greatly put into consideration. The next time I communicate with family or friends, I need to keep in mind to patiently wait until it's my turn to speak. The second phase of the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It is the essential ability to combine empathy, creativity and rationality to meet user needs and drive business success. Unlike analytical thinking, design thinking is a creative process based around the building up of ideas. There are no judgments early on the design thinking (Simon, 1969, p. 55). Design thinking includes imagination and reason, a combination of convergent and divergent thought, and creativity. Design thinking might be thought of as dialectic, or conversation. The second stage of design thinking is frameworks the design problem: this phase requires processing and a large amount of information –which is collected from the observation phase– but at the same time being able to see what is missing for the customers and users information. The ultimate purpose of the framing phase is to reframe the design problem, to come up with a new story to tell about how the user might solve his or her problem, or to come up with a new way of seeing problem, to identify interesting dimension, to identifying and formulation the goals, to identifying external and internal constrains (Oxman, 1997, p. 344), to create design brief –outline programme– and time lines and providing the boundaries of the design field (Archer, 1984, p. 67; Cross, 2006, p. 32).
