3. About Super 30
Super 30 is a highly Ambitious and Innovative
Educational Program running under the
banner of "Ramanujan School of
Mathematics".
It hunts for 30 meritorious Talents from
among the economically backward sections
of the Society and shapes them for India's
most prestigious Institution – the IIT.
4. Life Philosophy
“Super 30 has changed my Life.
When I could not go to Cambridge, I was
disappointed.
I always wanted to be a Mathematics
Teacher in Cambridge, Yale or IIT.
I could not go there but
“I’m able to send my Students
there…”

7. Incidents which MOTIVATED him for
making Super 30
In 1992, he formed a Mathematics Club,
‘Ramanujan School of Mathematics’.
In 1994, Anand got an opportunity to pursue
Higher Education in Cambridge University, but his
poor financial health came in the way.
8. This led to the birth of new form of ‘Ramanujan
School of Mathematics’, where he trained a small
group of Students for various competitive
Examinations by charging nominal fee.
Incident:-
In early 2000, when a poor Student came to him
seeking coaching for IIT-JEE, who couldn’t afford the
Annual Admission Fee due to Poverty, Kumar was
motivated to start the Super 30 Programme in 2002,
for which he is now well-known.

When Super 30 started its journey in 2003, 18 out of 30
students completed.

Arrangement of Lodging & Food for 30 Students
for 8 months was a big Challenge for Anand.
Attacks were planned on Anand Kumar due to
his Success & Popularity.

The Student’s Talent should not be handicapped
by Financial Constraints of their Families.
To enable more & more no. of Students to crack
International & National Olympiad.
To take the Knowledge of Students to that level
that at some point of time they may win a Nobel
Prize.

roots to give some useful success tips to the new Batch.

22. Half a page has been devoted to Anand in
New York Times.
Miss Japan Norika Fujiwara visited Patna to
make a documentary on Anand’s initiatives.
Kumar is in the Limca Book of Records (2009)
for his Contribution in helping Poor Students crack
IIT-JEE.
