The Favorite Child
THE FAVORITE CHILD
A Father is one of the most important identity in our lives. He protects us from all kinds of dangers and troubles, provides us with anything or
everything, unconditionally. He is a mentor, a role model and a figure who provides love and support to the whole family throughout his life. A father
and a son have a very special bonding as the father has been in the same shoes and thus understands one's emotion and need more than anyone else.
Growing up, I always wondered especially when it was the birthday month, if my father had more love for my sister compared to me. Whenever I
would ask him the golden question he would tell me that if love could be quantified then his love for me and my sister was equal to the millionth
digit. For someone who was known for his straightforwardness and honesty, his reply seemed only politically correct. My expectations for better
treatment would rise every year as I grew up. I was living in a world of inferiority complex. In school my teachers would call students in front of
the class and give them an opportunity to talk on a topic of choice with a motive to remove stage fright from children's head and improving there
elocution skills. As we were kids the most common topic was "My favorite person". I always thought that everyone has a favorite person except for
my father who had two favorite people ignoring the fact that my mother also had an equal percentage in the love distribution. If he was inexplicit, I
was blatant but

What Is Your Favorite Person Essay
Your favorite person: a borderline personality discovery
For the past weeks I have been busy. My minimalism goals is going well at my own pace (I'll will write about that one day) and every day there is
something to do for me. Now that I have a free weekend, I can sense that I might need people more than I think.
Being raised in a loving family, yet keeping things all to myself by playing in my room by myself, made myself think I like being alone more than
anyone. It's no denyiable fact that I'm introverted, so I need some rest from social interactions, yet the way I need people is too interesting to ignore.
So what do I mean when I speak about 'a favorite person'?
See it as a crush. You find the person interesting, you like to know everything about them, you like their looks, their personality and like to hang...show

You'll notice the things you have in common, you'll think about them by the minute, you get happy when they text you back, yet get really sad and
even depressed when they are busy. Youwant to know more and more about them and want to hang out with them as much as possible. You're basically
eating the palm of their hands.
I use the comparison as being a dog who is filled with joy when they see their master. Wagging their tail, doing everything the master wants and being
very happy when they pat your head. And I literally want to be patted on my head when my favorite person compliments me.
It's not really a crush anymore, is it? It's about power and being submissive to everything they want you to do.
But, I have to add, sometimes a favorite person can be someone you fell in love with and that's when it may get dangerous and confusing.
You can have a favorite person who is a friend, a family member, teacher, collegue, about anyone you may meet. Because it's so hard to figure out
wether it's love or an obsession, it's something which makes BPD a different experience from someone who doesn't have the

My Favorite Motto
"Do not be afraid". That is my favorite motto to live by because every day, everyone faces some sort of fear. This short phrase reminds me to stay
brave and focus on the good in my life and all around me. In my life, my greatest love is my family and friends. These 2 things keep me happy in
life and they are all I need to get through anything in my life and help me follow my motto. These 2 things are also the things I treasure most in my
life. In my friends, I value their ability to make me laugh, no matter the circumstances. There is not a day in my life where my friends don't make
me laugh. My greatest extravagance in my life is going on cruises in the cars that my dad brings home from his job. He works at a car lot in MN, and

One thing people always compliment is my hair, so I think that it's my most marked characteristic. However, the thing I dislike most about my
appearance is my height; that's another thing people always comment on. One thing I would change about myself is my confidence level. I am
always doubting myself and if I could, it would be the thing I would change. As for my family, I would change how loud we are. We are always
talking really loudly and it's something I don't like most of the time. The characteristic I like most in a woman is her humor; I always like when
people can make me laugh. As for a man, I like when they are goodhearted. One trait I deplore in myself is my laziness. I always want to get out and do
things, but I use my laziness as an excuse, and that's something I hate. In others, the trait I most deplore is unfriendliness. Phrases that I overuse are
"you know what?", "OMG", "like", "why not?". Some people in my life impact it more then they know. In my life, my biggest heroes are my parents.
They are someone that I can always look up to for advice, laughter, and happiness. A person in my life I admire is my brother. He is always there for
me and isn't afraid to work for what he wants, stand up for what he believes in, and share his thoughts and opinions, all the time. He always knows how
to make me happy, no matter the circumstances. I don't have a historical figure that I identify with,

What Is My Favorite Person Essay
At first I was scared and unsure. Now I am confident and brave. I have bright blue eyes and long blonde curly hair. I'm not sure how tall I am or
how much I way but don't really care either. I love to draw and play outside. I love animals and reading. I am the youngest girl in my family. I live
just outside town on a 12 acre farm. My favorite things to do are play outside and art. Another thing you should know is my favorite person is my
big sister Gwen. She is my favorite because she is so smart and loves me and plays with me and does my makeup. I would never tell anyone that
because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings and that would make me sad. I love to write songs and stories. I love making presents for people
because it makes me happy. First let me tell you where it started. When I was a baby my dad went to jail for a long time and is still there. It didn't

because I was worried about her. She kept having terrible panic attacks and had to go to the hospital all the time. One time it happened while we
were camping and my sister Gwen had to go in ambulance with her. It was very scary since I didn't know what was going on in the ambulance or
when the next time I'd see my mom again. It got worse and worse and she got very sick. She couldn't do anything so Gwen would make dinner. I
guess I lied. I have more to tell. I guess I am confusing I mean you are listening to an eight year old. I am always scared for my mom. She finally after
over a year they are trying to fix her. She is somewhat better. She makes dinner and plays with us now. She has to take very expensive medicine and
eat weird food. She and everyone else is very excited that she might get better but we don't know how it will work

Personal Characteristics Essay
There are many personal characteristics that can affect a person as an individual and his professional success, namely openness, ability to learn and
adapt etc. These personal characteristics can sometimes make a person successful and sometimes doesn't. As I spend more and more time as a
professional, I perceive that there are few characteristics that are essential for professional success: namely ambitious, creative and adaptable. These
characteristics come out in many different ways. Have you set your goals? Have you decided the path you have to take to pursue your goal? What
are the sacrifices you can do to achieve your ambition? How much can you think out of the box to resolve a particular issue or bring new idea to the
table? How...show more content...
This characteristic will motivate me to grow better in my future career as well. I believe that few people have a strong inner feeling that pushes them
to think out of the box to identify as issue and find the solution. Personally, I always try to find the most creative solution and do not give up until I get
it. Sometime this energy is contagious on to next. I always search for the missing links and fine–tune my thoughts until I reach a point that works. This
creativity has steadily driven my ambitions through the organization. Today the world is changing so rapidly and the way it has changed in last few
decades, it hasn't changed in last few hundred years. So adaptability has become the need of the hour. I believe that adaptability is the most important
quality of all, particularly if one is in technology industry. There have been times when this adaptability has changed the nomenclature of day and night
but it has also given me rewards at the appropriate times. Adaptability, personally, has created a far–reaching international outlook and I was able to
spend time, living outside my country of origin, working for UK retails giants and this stay not only diversified my work experience but also my
cultural experience. It has improved my exposure to diverse situations with increasing levels of complexity and this exposure has increased my
eagerness for new challenges. It has instigated a feeling in me that there

Personal Essay : My Personal Qualities
My Personal Qualities
Over the course, I have learned that all people are unique and have their own personal traits and qualities. One person does not just simply fall into
one category, but various categories. What is beautiful about all of us is that we all have diverse personalities, traits and qualities. I have learned that
we should be proud of and embrace these unique qualities of ours.
As a perfectionist, I like to present my things beautifully and creatively, and it is clearly seen on my collage. I appreciate beautiful things and this is
why I got beauty/aesthetics as one of my highest totals on the values survey. On my collage, I put a picture of a microscope, with the circular flask and

I know and I have been told that I am a kind and sympathetic person, because I love to help people and put a smile on their faces. Even when someone
is being rude, I try to "kill them with kindness" in return. I used the quote: "Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind, a
pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul". I chose to use this quote because I adore it and I go by it. What matters most is in the inside, not
on the outside. I think people sometimes, even me, get too caught up and try too hard to look beautiful, but they don't focus on personality.
A) I expected to get artistic, creative and investigative as my results on surveys that I took, because I already knew I had these traits as a part of my
personality. However, the results from mylearning styles survey were a little surprising to me. I got visual as my highest total score, while kinesthetic
and auditory were almost balanced out scores. The reason why I was a little surprised was that last year, I took a survey to figure out my learning
style, and I got both auditory and visual learner. The results have their little differences, but that shows people do change over time. Learning styles can
be learned and strengthened.
I learned plenty of things from my results. My values–which I didn't see clearly–are now clear, and I found out the little unique things that make up my
personality. From my personality survey, I am mostly artistic,

My Favourite Book Is My Favorite Book
Knowing a person's favorite book could give some insight into who they are and what they are like. For example, knowing that a person's favorite
book is The Art of War by Sun Tzu could mean that the person is competitive or aggressive. A reader's favorite book can range from many different
time periods in their life, as well as, many different genres. Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, a book I read in my teenage years, is my favorite
books. This is my favorite book due to the many different meaningful quotes used, the insanity of the main character, and the theme of the protection
of innocence. A quotation is a way the author addresses a topic without directly saying what he or she means. In Catcher in the Rye, Salinger uses
many different meaningful quotations that influence readers to stop and think. For example, in chapter 12, the main character states, "People always
clap for the wrong things." Humans live in a "monkey see monkey do" world, which means that if one person does something everyone is going to try
to do the same thing, no matter if the thing is good or bad. Salinger included the quote about clapping for the wrong things to open society's eyes and
help people realize that maybe they do things not because they enjoy them, but because they see other people do them. Another meaningful quotation
comes from chapter 24. The quote states, "The mark of the immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause while the mark of the mature man is
that he wants to

Describe My Favorite Person
To speak two different languages is such an impressive trait to have. One of my best friends is bilingual and she amazes me; her name is Evelyn
Grajales and I met her four years ago. I was eleven when we first met and she was ten. Evelyn lives in Montevideo, Uruguay which is one of my
favorite places. I made the long and dreadful trip back there when I was thirteen. Going back was like a gigantic family reunion. I went back for
the third time just a month ago, this time being fifteen years old. In a peculiar way, it feels like we have grown up together. Getting to visit her,
her inspiring family, and prodigious church has been one of the most encouraging things in my life. I had the privilege to sing with her and a few
others this time when I visited. Turns out, Evelyn has the voice of an angel; it is so thick and powerful. Of course she claims she can't sing at all,
but she is too humble to admit she can. Speaking of humble leads me to her next trait. It is insane how humble her and her family are. They all have
countless talents, but would never take the glory to honor themselves. Their goal is to make sure all of the praise and glory goes straight to God;
The One who gave them the ability to perform these talents. Evelyn is gorgeous. She has the most luscious, brown, and wavy hair. Her hair is as soft
as a feather. She also has the biggest and brightest smile. When she walks into a room, everyone notices her overflowing beauty. Evelyn is influential.

One person that has influenced my life was a girl named Jordan Lang. Jordan was a senior last year (2015–16) and she had the biggest influence on my
school life. Jordan and I did not know each other until last year around August or September. Jordan Lang and I met during marching band. I did
not know who she was because I did guard and Jordan did percussion. I noticed that she was wearing a 5 Seconds of Summer shirt after rehearsal and I
came up to her and said that I liked her shirt. I don't remember what happened after that. I just knew her as the girl who liked 5 seconds of summer
with me. We would hang out and drive in her car before stadium rehearsals or we would go to her house and eat food before we had a 4–hour rehearsal
in the cold. I was devastated when the marching band ended for us because it was senior hug line and I started crying when I got to hug her in the
line. A number of tears that wanted to escape my eyes on this night were astronomical. This was going to be the last time I was going to perform
with her. I would not spend countless hours running set per set and us goofing around after practice. I would not see her for 20+ hours a week.
After marching band was over we became better friends than I could imagine. Jordan never knew that she was the person who influenced me the
most but Jordan made a huge impact in my life.Freshman year was rocky for me. I had family issues and not all my friends were being nice to one
another or to me. I was sad and did

My Favorite Class Essay
My favorite classes this year were Mrs. Menzel's two english classes. I have learned so much about myself as a reader, student, and an intellectual.
Through both of her classes, we were given endless amounts of opportunity. What I mean by this is, we got to choose our own topics to study,
books to read, and subjects to write about. We were truly treated like adults, which in my eyes, helped prepare us for the "real world". Her
willingness to let us grow as individuals was very inspiring, because she believed that we could do it on our own, with a little push whenever we
needed it. I have gotten the chance to discover that I actually enjoy reading! Specifically, I discovered that Jodi Picoult might be my favorite author
as of now. Also, I realized that writing is one of my favorite things to do, it is a passion of mine and I hope I can continue it somehow with the career
that I choose.
Personally, her two classes have helped me grow as a speaker, writer, and reader. In her CCC class, I was able to write a profile on my dad, which
really strengthened my relationship with him. After printing him a copy, and seeing tears in his eyes made me very grateful for this experience to
share with him how much of a role model he is to me. In her English Lit class, I was able to ask my grandma and mom what books they would
recommend for me. Having these conversations with them made their hearts warm, since I was showing interest in books for once (they are both
book lovers). Her class pushed me to be the best that I can, and it wasn't for the grade that I got. It was for learning about myself, and what I was
capable of. That's when I learned that her classes are actually changing me as a student. For an example, when I was working on a project, I wasn't
basing every single sentence on what the rubric told me to do. I was branching out and working on it because I truly wanted to learn more about the
topic and put my all into it.
Thankfully, I have matured a great amount as a student because of Mrs. Menzel and her life lessons through teaching, and by just being herself. I
truly feel ready for college now because of Mrs. Menzel, and I am grateful for that. This year, I changed my intended major from Business to Education,

I have a few words that I like and live by , but my favorite word is "different". It takes a lot to be yourself in a world that is constantly changing. I
love to see people who aren't afraid of being themselves! The ones who would rather lead the pack than follow. I think that God created us equally, but
with our own unique touch.
In this world, everyone comes from different cultures and backgrounds. The world is one big melting pot full of unique individuals. If we all were

It says " The one who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. Those who walk alone are likely to find themselves in places no

should read and live by. It's basically saying if you do not follow your own path it may cost you. It may not be the path that was meant for you. If
you take a leap of faith and use your own imagination you can go beyond your limits. The truth of it all is anyone can be different. Even identical
twins are different in some way. You will noticed the different personalities immediately. The world need more strong, positive leaders . We were all
put on this earth for a reason and we can all make a difference and be DIFFERENT.
My goal is to be an elementary teacher. My ultimate goal is to be able to make a difference with one class at a time. I hope that when I finally get

are comfortable and eager to show me their creativity. Different means having confidence in who you are. Do not lose your identity because you want

My Favorite Book Essay
Dear R. J. Palacio,
I have read your book Wonder many times, and with each of those times my perspective changed. The first time, I liked it. The second time, I liked it
much more because my world changed. The third time, Wonder became my favorite book because my world changed forever.
My mom bought Wonder because it was on my brother Jake's 5th–grade summer reading list. I was in the 3rd–grade the first time I read Wonder, and I
read it to challenge myself. I liked your book because it reminded me to be nice to other people, but it didn't make a huge impact on me personally.
When I finished it, I never thought that it would change my view of the world. I thought that if I ever went to school with people like Auggie, I would
hope that I would give them a chance, but to be honest, I probably wouldn't. I would probably be like Charlotte who is nice and says hi to Auggie, but
doesn't hang out with him. She's a goody two–shoes, so she is kind, but they aren't really friends. I put the book back on my bookshelf and was happy
that I read a 5th–grade book, but I didn't think more about it.
Remember how I told you that my world changed? After I read your book the first time, my older brother Jake was diagnosed with a rare
chromosomal disorder called Friedreich Ataxia (FA).
FA makes your nerve cells die so you can't walk and eventually you need a wheelchair. Because I love to read, I was looking for a book where the
characters felt how I felt, so I re–read Wonder because now Via

Somebody once told me it is okay to be average as long as you are a good person. Life is short, do as many things as you can to live a happy life and

most things they do. No one can be good at everything, so don't ever think you have to be. Feeling pressured to be great at everything is one thing
no one should ever have to go through. All it seems to do is tear down people's' self esteem creating more reserved and quiet people. Life is hard,

She was born in a small town called McCune, Kansas where she grew up with her three brothers and four sisters; she was the second youngest of

Reflective Essay About Friendship
Having a friendship with someone since you were little is amazing, the bond you form with that person like a never–ending comforter and someone to
always trust and confide in. The day I moved into the new house and went to see the neighborhood, I knew we would always be close. Owen and I
grew closer every day, quickly becoming the best of friends, and at the time, nothing was better than having a best friend. Through our awkward
years, multiple friend groups coming and going, the harsh words and the hate from other people, we were always there for each other; he had my
back and I his. Living in the moment and cherishing the things you have while you have them is one of the most important things in life because you
never know when it can all be taken away...
It was during the eleventh–grade summer that everything changed. The daily talks, sleepovers, and coming to each other about everything all hindered.
Eye contact and smiles were turned to scowling, pointing, and laughing with the hierarchy of all groups. Being friends with him for so long and
eventually developing feelings that exceeded a friendship, and then just being dropped with no warning and not having a clue why was
heart–wrenching and confusing. The day of the pep–rally I finally thought that this one–sided feud would be stopped and that we could rekindle our
lost friendship, but I could never be more wrong. Many side glances, smirks, and winks were made, but none with the loving intent that they used to
hold.

that have inspired me by their natural talents and original creativity. I value many political leaders, who have inspired me by their contributions to

No matter how tired he was from his long work week, he would be up bright and early Saturday morning to attend any of our sporting events,

watchful eye over us. My father's protectiveness and selflessness generated at a young age for him. He is the ninth of twelve children, and often
told us stories of how he had to look after, and practically raise his three younger siblings after my grandfather had passed. He made certain they
completed their chores around my grandmother's farm, maintained good hygiene practices, and kept up with their schoolwork. School was extremely
important to my father, because he knew an education was the only way he could be successful. Proudly, he finished high school at the age of
sixteen, but could not follow the footsteps of his older brothers and join the military, because he was too young. Therefore, he decided to continue his
studies. The completion of his degree in biology was bittersweet. He was the first and the only one in his family to have graduated from college,

The Favorite Child

  • 1. The Favorite Child THE FAVORITE CHILD A Father is one of the most important identity in our lives. He protects us from all kinds of dangers and troubles, provides us with anything or everything, unconditionally. He is a mentor, a role model and a figure who provides love and support to the whole family throughout his life. A father and a son have a very special bonding as the father has been in the same shoes and thus understands one's emotion and need more than anyone else. Growing up, I always wondered especially when it was the birthday month, if my father had more love for my sister compared to me. Whenever I would ask him the golden question he would tell me that if love could be quantified then his love for me and my sister was equal to the millionth digit. For someone who was known for his straightforwardness and honesty, his reply seemed only politically correct. My expectations for better treatment would rise every year as I grew up. I was living in a world of inferiority complex. In school my teachers would call students in front of the class and give them an opportunity to talk on a topic of choice with a motive to remove stage fright from children's head and improving there elocution skills. As we were kids the most common topic was "My favorite person". I always thought that everyone has a favorite person except for my father who had two favorite people ignoring the fact that my mother also had an equal percentage in the love distribution. If he was inexplicit, I was blatant but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. What Is Your Favorite Person Essay Your favorite person: a borderline personality discovery For the past weeks I have been busy. My minimalism goals is going well at my own pace (I'll will write about that one day) and every day there is something to do for me. Now that I have a free weekend, I can sense that I might need people more than I think. Being raised in a loving family, yet keeping things all to myself by playing in my room by myself, made myself think I like being alone more than anyone. It's no denyiable fact that I'm introverted, so I need some rest from social interactions, yet the way I need people is too interesting to ignore. So what do I mean when I speak about 'a favorite person'? See it as a crush. You find the person interesting, you like to know everything about them, you like their looks, their personality and like to hang...show more content... You'll notice the things you have in common, you'll think about them by the minute, you get happy when they text you back, yet get really sad and even depressed when they are busy. Youwant to know more and more about them and want to hang out with them as much as possible. You're basically eating the palm of their hands. I use the comparison as being a dog who is filled with joy when they see their master. Wagging their tail, doing everything the master wants and being very happy when they pat your head. Because it's so hard to figure out wether it's love or an obsession, it's something which makes BPD a different experience from someone who doesn't have the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Favorite Motto "Do not be afraid". That is my favorite motto to live by because every day, everyone faces some sort of fear. This short phrase reminds me to stay brave and focus on the good in my life and all around me. In my life, my greatest love is my family and friends. These 2 things keep me happy in life and they are all I need to get through anything in my life and help me follow my motto. These 2 things are also the things I treasure most in my life. In my friends, I value their ability to make me laugh, no matter the circumstances. There is not a day in my life where my friends don't make me laugh. My greatest extravagance in my life is going on cruises in the cars that my dad brings home from his job. He works at a car lot in MN, and every day...show more content... One thing people always compliment is my hair, so I think that it's my most marked characteristic. However, the thing I dislike most about my appearance is my height; that's another thing people always comment on. One thing I would change about myself is my confidence level. I am always doubting myself and if I could, it would be the thing I would change. As for my family, I would change how loud we are. We are always talking really loudly and it's something I don't like most of the time. The characteristic I like most in a woman is her humor; I always like when people can make me laugh. As for a man, I like when they are goodhearted. One trait I deplore in myself is my laziness. I always want to get out and do things, but I use my laziness as an excuse, and that's something I hate. In others, the trait I most deplore is unfriendliness. Phrases that I overuse are "you know what?", "OMG", "like", "why not?". Some people in my life impact it more then they know. In my life, my biggest heroes are my parents. They are someone that I can always look up to for advice, laughter, and happiness. A person in my life I admire is my brother. He is always there for me and isn't afraid to work for what he wants, stand up for what he believes in, and share his thoughts and opinions, all the time. He always knows how to make me happy, no matter the circumstances. I don't have a historical figure that I identify with, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. What Is My Favorite Person Essay At first I was scared and unsure. Now I am confident and brave. I have bright blue eyes and long blonde curly hair. I'm not sure how tall I am or how much I way but don't really care either. I love to draw and play outside. I love animals and reading. I am the youngest girl in my family. I live just outside town on a 12 acre farm. My favorite things to do are play outside and art. Another thing you should know is my favorite person is my big sister Gwen. She is my favorite because she is so smart and loves me and plays with me and does my makeup. I would never tell anyone that because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings and that would make me sad. I love to write songs and stories. I love making presents for people because it makes me happy. First let me tell you where it started. When I was a baby my dad went to jail for a long time and is still there. It didn't matter much to me then because I didn't know him. When I was...show more content... I love school. I love going to school and reading. I had to miss some school last school year because my mom got very sick. I missed a lot of school because I was worried about her. She kept having terrible panic attacks and had to go to the hospital all the time. One time it happened while we were camping and my sister Gwen had to go in ambulance with her. It was very scary since I didn't know what was going on in the ambulance or when the next time I'd see my mom again. It got worse and worse and she got very sick. She couldn't do anything so Gwen would make dinner. I guess I lied. I have more to tell. I guess I am confusing I mean you are listening to an eight year old. I am always scared for my mom. She finally after over a year they are trying to fix her. She is somewhat better. She makes dinner and plays with us now. She has to take very expensive medicine and eat weird food. She and everyone else is very excited that she might get better but we don't know how it will work Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Personal Characteristics Essay There are many personal characteristics that can affect a person as an individual and his professional success, namely openness, ability to learn and adapt etc. These personal characteristics can sometimes make a person successful and sometimes doesn't. As I spend more and more time as a professional, I perceive that there are few characteristics that are essential for professional success: namely ambitious, creative and adaptable. These characteristics come out in many different ways. Have you set your goals? Have you decided the path you have to take to pursue your goal? What are the sacrifices you can do to achieve your ambition? How much can you think out of the box to resolve a particular issue or bring new idea to the table? How...show more content... This characteristic will motivate me to grow better in my future career as well. I believe that few people have a strong inner feeling that pushes them to think out of the box to identify as issue and find the solution. Personally, I always try to find the most creative solution and do not give up until I get it. Sometime this energy is contagious on to next. I always search for the missing links and fine–tune my thoughts until I reach a point that works. This creativity has steadily driven my ambitions through the organization. Today the world is changing so rapidly and the way it has changed in last few decades, it hasn't changed in last few hundred years. So adaptability has become the need of the hour. I believe that adaptability is the most important quality of all, particularly if one is in technology industry. There have been times when this adaptability has changed the nomenclature of day and night but it has also given me rewards at the appropriate times. Adaptability, personally, has created a far–reaching international outlook and I was able to spend time, living outside my country of origin, working for UK retails giants and this stay not only diversified my work experience but also my cultural experience. It has improved my exposure to diverse situations with increasing levels of complexity and this exposure has increased my eagerness for new challenges. It has instigated a feeling in me that there Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Personal Essay : My Personal Qualities My Personal Qualities Over the course, I have learned that all people are unique and have their own personal traits and qualities. One person does not just simply fall into one category, but various categories. What is beautiful about all of us is that we all have diverse personalities, traits and qualities. I have learned that we should be proud of and embrace these unique qualities of ours. As a perfectionist, I like to present my things beautifully and creatively, and it is clearly seen on my collage. I appreciate beautiful things and this is why I got beauty/aesthetics as one of my highest totals on the values survey. On my collage, I put a picture of a microscope, with the circular flask and test tubes. I also...show more content... I know and I have been told that I am a kind and sympathetic person, because I love to help people and put a smile on their faces. Even when someone is being rude, I try to "kill them with kindness" in return. I used the quote: "Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul". I chose to use this quote because I adore it and I go by it. What matters most is in the inside, not on the outside. I think people sometimes, even me, get too caught up and try too hard to look beautiful, but they don't focus on personality. A) I expected to get artistic, creative and investigative as my results on surveys that I took, because I already knew I had these traits as a part of my personality. However, the results from mylearning styles survey were a little surprising to me. I got visual as my highest total score, while kinesthetic and auditory were almost balanced out scores. The reason why I was a little surprised was that last year, I took a survey to figure out my learning style, and I got both auditory and visual learner. The results have their little differences, but that shows people do change over time. Learning styles can be learned and strengthened. I learned plenty of things from my results. My values–which I didn't see clearly–are now clear, and I found out the little unique things that make up my personality. From my personality survey, I am mostly artistic, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It is also common as a surname. ... The Italian diminutive of the name is Mirandolina. I want to be remembered as kind, compassionate and as empathetic. • 8. My Favourite Book Is My Favorite Book Knowing a person's favorite book could give some insight into who they are and what they are like. For example, knowing that a person's favorite book is The Art of War by Sun Tzu could mean that the person is competitive or aggressive. A reader's favorite book can range from many different time periods in their life, as well as, many different genres. Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, a book I read in my teenage years, is my favorite books. This is my favorite book due to the many different meaningful quotes used, the insanity of the main character, and the theme of the protection of innocence. A quotation is a way the author addresses a topic without directly saying what he or she means. In Catcher in the Rye, Salinger uses many different meaningful quotations that influence readers to stop and think. For example, in chapter 12, the main character states, "People always clap for the wrong things." Humans live in a "monkey see monkey do" world, which means that if one person does something everyone is going to try to do the same thing, no matter if the thing is good or bad. Salinger included the quote about clapping for the wrong things to open society's eyes and help people realize that maybe they do things not because they enjoy them, but because they see other people do them. Another meaningful quotation comes from chapter 24. The quote states, "The mark of the immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause while the mark of the mature man is that he wants to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Describe My Favorite Person To speak two different languages is such an impressive trait to have. One of my best friends is bilingual and she amazes me; her name is Evelyn Grajales and I met her four years ago. I was eleven when we first met and she was ten. Evelyn lives in Montevideo, Uruguay which is one of my favorite places. I made the long and dreadful trip back there when I was thirteen. Going back was like a gigantic family reunion. I went back for the third time just a month ago, this time being fifteen years old. In a peculiar way, it feels like we have grown up together. Getting to visit her, her inspiring family, and prodigious church has been one of the most encouraging things in my life. I had the privilege to sing with her and a few others this time when I visited. Turns out, Evelyn has the voice of an angel; it is so thick and powerful. Of course she claims she can't sing at all, but she is too humble to admit she can. Speaking of humble leads me to her next trait. It is insane how humble her and her family are. They all have countless talents, but would never take the glory to honor themselves. Their goal is to make sure all of the praise and glory goes straight to God; The One who gave them the ability to perform these talents. Evelyn is gorgeous. • 10. My Favorite Person One person that has influenced my life was a girl named Jordan Lang. Jordan was a senior last year (2015–16) and she had the biggest influence on my school life. Jordan and I did not know each other until last year around August or September. Jordan Lang and I met during marching band. I did not know who she was because I did guard and Jordan did percussion. I noticed that she was wearing a 5 Seconds of Summer shirt after rehearsal and I came up to her and said that I liked her shirt. I don't remember what happened after that. I just knew her as the girl who liked 5 seconds of summer with me. We would hang out and drive in her car before stadium rehearsals or we would go to her house and eat food before we had a 4–hour rehearsal in the cold. I was devastated when the marching band ended for us because it was senior hug line and I started crying when I got to hug her in the line. A number of tears that wanted to escape my eyes on this night were astronomical. This was going to be the last time I was going to perform with her. I would not spend countless hours running set per set and us goofing around after practice. I would not see her for 20+ hours a week. After marching band was over we became better friends than I could imagine. Jordan never knew that she was the person who influenced me the most but Jordan made a huge impact in my life.Freshman year was rocky for me. I had family issues and not all my friends were being nice to one another or to me. I was sad and did Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My Favorite Class Essay My favorite classes this year were Mrs. Menzel's two english classes. I have learned so much about myself as a reader, student, and an intellectual. Through both of her classes, we were given endless amounts of opportunity. What I mean by this is, we got to choose our own topics to study, books to read, and subjects to write about. We were truly treated like adults, which in my eyes, helped prepare us for the "real world". Her willingness to let us grow as individuals was very inspiring, because she believed that we could do it on our own, with a little push whenever we needed it. I have gotten the chance to discover that I actually enjoy reading! Specifically, I discovered that Jodi Picoult might be my favorite author as of now. Also, I realized that writing is one of my favorite things to do, it is a passion of mine and I hope I can continue it somehow with the career that I choose. Personally, her two classes have helped me grow as a speaker, writer, and reader. In her CCC class, I was able to write a profile on my dad, which really strengthened my relationship with him. After printing him a copy, and seeing tears in his eyes made me very grateful for this experience to share with him how much of a role model he is to me. In her English Lit class, I was able to ask my grandma and mom what books they would recommend for me. Having these conversations with them made their hearts warm, since I was showing interest in books for once (they are both book lovers). Her class pushed me to be the best that I can, and it wasn't for the grade that I got. It was for learning about myself, and what I was capable of. That's when I learned that her classes are actually changing me as a student. For an example, when I was working on a project, I wasn't basing every single sentence on what the rubric told me to do. I was branching out and working on it because I truly wanted to learn more about the topic and put my all into it. Thankfully, I have matured a great amount as a student because of Mrs. Menzel and her life lessons through teaching, and by just being herself. I truly feel ready for college now because of Mrs. Menzel, and I am grateful for that. This year, I changed my intended major from Business to Education, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. What Is My Favorite Word Essay "Different" I have a few words that I like and live by , but my favorite word is "different". It takes a lot to be yourself in a world that is constantly changing. I love to see people who aren't afraid of being themselves! The ones who would rather lead the pack than follow. I think that God created us equally, but with our own unique touch. In this world, everyone comes from different cultures and backgrounds. The world is one big melting pot full of unique individuals. If we all were the same life would be so boring and serve us no purpose. When you first meet someone, what is the first thing you notice about them? Is it the way they speak, dress, or act? I notice the way they think, just by the way they...show more content... It says " The one who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. Those who walk alone are likely to find themselves in places no one has ever been before." It has been linked back to different people , the message is clear as day. It is a powerful quote that I think everyone should read and live by. It's basically saying if you do not follow your own path it may cost you. It may not be the path that was meant for you. If you take a leap of faith and use your own imagination you can go beyond your limits. The truth of it all is anyone can be different. Even identical twins are different in some way. You will noticed the different personalities immediately. The world need more strong, positive leaders . We were all put on this earth for a reason and we can all make a difference and be DIFFERENT. My goal is to be an elementary teacher. My ultimate goal is to be able to make a difference with one class at a time. I hope that when I finally get my own classroom, I am blessed enough to teach my little babies a lot of good values to have inside and out of the classroom. I will make sure they are comfortable and eager to show me their creativity. Different means having confidence in who you are. Do not lose your identity because you want to fit in. • 13. My Favorite Book Essay Dear R. J. Palacio, I have read your book Wonder many times, and with each of those times my perspective changed. The first time, I liked it. The second time, I liked it much more because my world changed. The third time, Wonder became my favorite book because my world changed forever. My mom bought Wonder because it was on my brother Jake's 5th–grade summer reading list. I was in the 3rd–grade the first time I read Wonder, and I read it to challenge myself. I liked your book because it reminded me to be nice to other people, but it didn't make a huge impact on me personally. When I finished it, I never thought that it would change my view of the world. I thought that if I ever went to school with people like Auggie, I would hope that I would give them a chance, but to be honest, I probably wouldn't. I would probably be like Charlotte who is nice and says hi to Auggie, but doesn't hang out with him. She's a goody two–shoes, so she is kind, but they aren't really friends. I put the book back on my bookshelf and was happy that I read a 5th–grade book, but I didn't think more about it. Remember how I told you that my world changed? After I read your book the first time, my older brother Jake was diagnosed with a rare chromosomal disorder called Friedreich Ataxia (FA). FA makes your nerve cells die so you can't walk and eventually you need a wheelchair. Because I love to read, I was looking for a book where the characters felt how I felt, so I re–read Wonder because now Via Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Personal Manifesto Research Paper Personal Manifesto Somebody once told me it is okay to be average as long as you are a good person. Life is short, do as many things as you can to live a happy life and do all the things you aspire to do before time runs out. One evening while I was on vacation visiting my grandparents we were sitting around the dinner table eating a homemade meal made by my grandma. It was my mom, my sister, my foreign exchange student, two of my good friends, and I all eating dinner together. Dinner had come to an end and one of my friends and I were still sitting at the table with my grandpa. He has always been a very inspirational person in my life and most of the things he says mean a lot and really make me think. There was one thing my grandpa told...show more content... Even being an average person can be very difficult. If you look at a large amount of people in this world, they are average or below average in most things they do. No one can be good at everything, so don't ever think you have to be. Feeling pressured to be great at everything is one thing no one should ever have to go through. All it seems to do is tear down people's' self esteem creating more reserved and quiet people. Life is hard, and if it were meant to be easy, everyone would be good at everything and the majority of things would be meaningless. So, what would be the point of living a meaningless life? • 15. My Favorite Person She was born in a small town called McCune, Kansas where she grew up with her three brothers and four sisters; she was the second youngest of eight. Growing up, she would always tell me how she didn't wear store bought clothes until the third grade, or how she would get up before the crack of dawn to go out to feed her bucket calf. She also told me how I would never make it living the farm life. Now a day, you can find her at Eureka City Hall working from eight to six to coming home, taking care of her family, and chasing her kids. Her name is Karen Simon, and she is my mom, an Army wife, and loving person. In 1993, she married her husband John Simon and four years later, she had her first daughter, Allison Simon, in 1997. In 2000, she had her favorite daughter, Hannah Simon, which is me. She is one of the most thoughtful people you will ever meet, and she will help her children with anything from homework to extracurricular activities projects. The first thing that comes to mind is her voice. At one point, it can soft and quiet like a small creek with the water flowing slowly, talking smoothly trying to calm her children down when they get upset. Next her voice is strong and harsh like a rapid river, going off on her children for something they didn't do or something they did wrong. Usually waking up Sunday morning to the noises of the banging pots and pans, and smells drifting from the kitchen. When she is working in the kitchen the family is reminded of Christmas, because Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My bedroom is a place where I can go to relax, or to have some alone time. I like my room because the design, layout, and dГ©cor were all chosen by me to suit my needs. • 17. Reflective Essay About Friendship Having a friendship with someone since you were little is amazing, the bond you form with that person like a never–ending comforter and someone to always trust and confide in. The day I moved into the new house and went to see the neighborhood, I knew we would always be close. Owen and I grew closer every day, quickly becoming the best of friends, and at the time, nothing was better than having a best friend. Through our awkward years, multiple friend groups coming and going, the harsh words and the hate from other people, we were always there for each other; he had my back and I his. Living in the moment and cherishing the things you have while you have them is one of the most important things in life because you never know when it can all be taken away... It was during the eleventh–grade summer that everything changed. The daily talks, sleepovers, and coming to each other about everything all hindered. Eye contact and smiles were turned to scowling, pointing, and laughing with the hierarchy of all groups. Being friends with him for so long and eventually developing feelings that exceeded a friendship, and then just being dropped with no warning and not having a clue why was heart–wrenching and confusing. The day of the pep–rally I finally thought that this one–sided feud would be stopped and that we could rekindle our lost friendship, but I could never be more wrong. Many side glances, smirks, and winks were made, but none with the loving intent that they used to hold. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My Father: the Person I Admire Most Essays My Father: The Person I Admire Most Over time, there have been several people who have influenced various aspects of my life, based on their personal characteristics, accomplishments, and values. I have been privileged to have had numerous teachers and professors who I respect for their patience and intelligence. There are artists that have inspired me by their natural talents and original creativity. I value many political leaders, who have inspired me by their contributions to society, and their ability to change our futures. Of all the people I have encountered in my life, the person I admire most is my father. As the youngest girl in my family, I always considered myself to be "Daddy's little girl." No matter how tired he was from his long work week, he would be up bright and early Saturday morning to attend any of our sporting events, tournaments, or recitals, and then chauffeur us and our friends to slumber parties or school dances. He was always very protective and kept a watchful eye over us. My father's protectiveness and selflessness generated at a young age for him. He is the ninth of twelve children, and often told us stories of how he had to look after, and practically raise his three younger siblings after my grandfather had passed. He made certain they completed their chores around my grandmother's farm, maintained good hygiene practices, and kept up with their schoolwork. School was extremely important to my father, because he knew an education was the only way he could be successful. Proudly, he finished high school at the age of sixteen, but could not follow the footsteps of his older brothers and join the military, because he was too young. Therefore, he decided to continue his studies. The completion of his degree in biology was bittersweet. He was the first and the only one in his family to have graduated from college, however, there were not a lot of opportunities for a young African–American male in 1957, in small town Alabama. After taking few odd jobs, he decided to enlist in the military. My father had encountered many challenges in his life, but one of his toughest was seeking to date my mother. Teachers are the second most important people in our lives, right after our parents. Teachers are persuasive and have the power to build a child up from an immature student to become a responsible adult; or they can completely and utterly crush a students hopes and dreams.
