As social media continue to impact every aspect
of communication, new business trends are
emerging in 2014. They include:


Migration to Mobile – The move to mobile
devices continues to build momentum, but
many businesses have yet to harness its full
potential. 2014 will see more companies
developing their own mobile apps.

Video Advertising – 30-second ads are found
on virtually every online video outlet. Because
these outlets are so widely used, online video
advertising provides greater brand exposure
and more reliable monetization.


Death of the Daily Deal – According to Social
Media Examiner, sites like Groupon have lost
most of their influence. In fact, more than 80
percent of marketers surveyed by the publication
said that they did not plan to use these sites for
future advertising.

Evolution of Facebook – Facebook is quickly
becoming a Mecca for advertisements, which
poses a problem for some. Facebook reports a
steep decline in the number of teens using the
site, and many marketers are beginning to move
away from the platform as well.

Because these outlets are so widely used, online video advertising provides greater brand exposure and more reliable monetization.
  • 4.  Death of the Daily Deal – According to Social Media Examiner, sites like Groupon have lost most of their influence. In fact, more than 80 percent of marketers surveyed by the publication said that they did not plan to use these sites for future advertising. Evolution of Facebook – Facebook is quickly becoming a Mecca for advertisements, which poses a problem for some. Facebook reports a steep decline in the number of teens using the site, and many marketers are beginning to move away from the platform as well.
