Montessori Kindergarten program at Brainy Child Montessori stands out as a beacon of educational
excellence. Designed meticulously for children aged 5 and 6 years old, this program is a nurturing

Before we dive into the specifics of Brainy Child Montessori's Kindergarten program, let's first
understand the Montessori approach. Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, this method of education is
cantered around the belief that children are natural learners who thrive in environments that are
prepared to cater to their unique developmental needs.

3. Description
The Kindergarten program is carefully designed for children age 5 & 6 years old. It prepares the
child for Primary 1 and beyond. At the level children develop confidence, independence, social-
emotional and interactive skills. The curriculum is Montessori-based and the teacher-student ratio is
1:10. Teaching of academic subjects like English Phonics & Math is done on an individual basis
based on the child’s level, as we believe that even children of the same age progress at a different
pace (depending on their natural ability and family background). The other important areas covered
are Practical Life (learning to do simple routine tasks needed for achieving independence), Sensorial
(learning through manipulation of objects by use of the 5 senses) and Cultural (science, history and
geography) subjects. Children can join our weekend Phonics and Maths program if they are not able
to attend weekday classes.

11am – 12.30pm (6 years old)
