14. 5. Make sure that all grease zerk locations have been sufficiently
greased. Grease zerks will Ье found on the rocker shaft
bearings, and wheel hubs. USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN WORKING
AROUND SHARP CHISEL POINTS, AND COULTER BLADES.
6. Check and adjust tightness of wheel bearings, before operation,
after the first week, and periodically thereafter. (See
Service Section of this book.)
PREPARING ТНЕ TRACTOR
Read your tractor owner 1 s manual. It will describe methods of
operation. Make sure your tractor has proper added ballast, and
that its hydraulic system is full of oil and working properly.
Check tractor brakes and warning lights, make sure they are in
working order.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Inspect the hydraulic system for tell-tale leaks and loose fittings.
Tighten if needed. If not previously filled, your hydraulic
system will require approximately 4 QUARTS / 4 LITERS of your
tractor manufacturers recommended oil. Read Service Section
"HYDRAULICS" on page 010, before filling system.
АCAUTION: AIR IN HYDRAULIC SYSTEM WILL ALLOW CHISEL
ТО DROP SUDDENLY,
HITCHING & UNHITCHING

the unit. The chisel should Ье parked in the storage
position with the road lock in place. If the chisel is to
remain parked for storage over а long period of time, Ье
sure to read storage suggestions on page 011.
