Write An Essay On Place Identity
Place identity is an essential concept that will be propagated this essay, therein lies its definition from environmental psychology which proposes that
identities are formed in relation to surrounding environments. This concept allows us to most importantly understand why the use of physical space is
essential to accentuate the idea of inclusion. The term introduced by environmental and social psychologists Proshansky, Fabian, and Kaminoff, argues
that the term is a sub–structure of a person's self–identity, consisting of knowledge and feelings developed through everyday experiences with its
physical spaces. A sense of place identity derives from the multiple ways where the place functions to provide belonging, form meanings, forge
attachments,

A Perfect Place?
Crouched beside my father's hospital bed, I prayed for him to stay alive as he ran his trembling fingers through my soft brown curls for the last
time. He focused on my big green eyes as they overflowed with salty tears and whispered: "Sabrina Jane, in no circumstance you will give up
hope." Every night I lay in bed, weary of what tomorrow will bring to me and my family without my valiant father for support and protection from
the oppressive world we are required to live. I am proceeding to follow in his footsteps to turn this 'utopian world' into a free space where people
do not have to be watched, but first I need to get past the government. The government has everyone is fenced in with guards observing their every
move, advised that there is a horrid place outside this world and to never leave since there will always be consequences for everything. Except
there are always people trying to escape the interior facade of distraught, we hear that they all die from reading the Newspaper and the deafening
of the rambunctious sirens that warn us of the dangers from disobeying the Mayor's laws. I hope to be the first one to withdraw the way of living I
was raised to obey. When you walk into my bedroom there are stacks of thick, rough and smooth yellow paper, on all of the paper I have plans for
my escape, using town sketches and machines for me to construct in order to depart from 'the perfect place'. My mother, who has blonde hair and light

Staying in one place or be moving from city to city or country to another country really doesn't depend on us. If we still live with our parents then
when it comes to moving we don't really have an option. Even though when it feel like if you move you will lose all of your friends, moving from
city to city or house to another house is not bad at all. Moving can also bring you good stuff, like new friends, new experiences and adventures, you
get to met new people and if you move from country you get to explore a new culture. Since I remember I have always moved, and never stayed in
one place and live there without moving. When I was born my mom decided to move from El Paso Tx. to Chihuahua Mexico because my dad wanted

My dad was in the marine in Mexico so he wasn't always with me and my mom. One day my mom told me that my dad was going to be in Nuevo
Leon for a while so we were moving with him. We moved from one state to another one, I didn't like it at all. For most people leaving those who
they love is really hard. Moving and leaving all of those that have being with you since day one it's really upsetting, you try everything to find a
way to stay. All of my friends were in Chihuahua and even though I wasn't born there I felt like that was home. When we got to our new house my
dad was happy to see us but I was still upset about moving to another state. We stayed there for around a year and it actually came out to be really
fun! I made more friends, and I was happy because my other friends were still talking to me. After that year my dad was going to the south of
Mexico but we were not sure if he was going to stayed there for some time. My mom, my brother and me moved back to Chihuahua. We had to say
goodbye again. It gets really hard to say bye to those who you love and those who make you happy. We moved back and then we moved again to
another state and then again

Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place
As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a
good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all
though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special.
Waking up early in the morning and driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a broad place to
describe, but in reality, all the towns have the same feel but different atmosphere. Pacific City is small and quiet with a great...show more content...
Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless, until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against
it. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations
stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your
toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and
you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and
balconies on every place to capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a magical place. It transports
you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible
to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to
experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a
restaurant. The Oregon Coast will always hold a spot near to my heart. I can't wait for

Essay on scary places
Over the course of my life, I have encountered many eerie locations that have given me the chills. Despite all those fearful situations, only three
places have ever successfully handicapped my lungs from providing oxygen to my heart. I could not begin to predict the events that would occur
when I decided to visit a jail hostel, a cemetery, or a cellar. Until these visits, I have never been frozen from head to toe, unable to conduct a move.
My previous hair raising experiences are practically nonexistent compared to my journey to The Ottawa Jail Hostel, the Garden Cemetery, or a friend's
basement cellar. To begin, the first place that is soon going to put goose bumps on my skin is the Ottawa Jail Hostel. In order to reach the hostel I...show

My curiosity leads me closer and I soon find myself inside the hostel. Once inside, the scene of a hotel lobby jumps into view, although everything
is beaten down as if a pack of wolves ran through. To my left, a few broken remains of the front desk lay scattered on the floor. Now, this decrepit
structure sits upside down in the corner of the room. I slowly creep into the next room which leads to a stairway. Immediately, I want to explore the
upper level. Suddenly, I see a strange shadow appearing from the corner of my eye. A loud crash leads me to believe the figure is in the lobby.
Goosebumps appear on my neck and arms as a harsh wind blows through an open window. I scream as I run back out of the building. Panting and
confused, I try to retrieve myself from a frightened state and gain control of my body once again. Therefore, the first frightening experience I have
ever encountered happened at the Ottawa Jail Hostel. The second stop on my haunted journey, is to Garden Cemetery. To reach the cemetery, I start
to walk through a spooky forest. This forest contains vast wisps of dead grass, fragile to a single touch. Occasional gusts of wind forces these stands
of death to dance and rustle against each other. Tall trees lean in all different directions, with leaves no longer clinging to their branches. These
dormant structures lurch over my body, trying to hold me captive in their distorted arms. As a result, I quicken my pace and my breath

Describe A Place Analysis
I.Introduction
If you sit and look at all of the things around you that are considered to be geographical; for example, schools, houses, restaurants, landscapes, and
even the streets that we walk on every day they all have a story to tell. Some of these things have been here for years and some only for months. The
people that lived here before us and the people that will live here after us will all have their story to live and tell. Each place has a special meaning to
that one person that maybe no one knows. There is a special place that will always be with me; it is not extravagant, but it is a place that means a lot
to many people, not just me. It is a small restaurant, in the small town of Nocona, Texas, called Dairy Queen; a little place that reminds me of home.
Let us take a closer look at this wonderful place that is one of the main attractions of the city of Nocona, using the five themes of geography: region,
location, place, movement, and human–environmental interaction.
II.General Overview
Recently, we went home to see family. Home might not necessarily be where you live, but where you feel the love of your family. Home might be
where you feel comfortable or at ease in the sense that you can just take that one big deep breath and let everything out and relax. When I think of that
place I think of the smells, the people...show more content...
Most of the roads around this building are dirt roads, but, the highways are pavement. The parking lot of the Dairy Queen in Nocona is gravel. So,
when you drive in to park you can almost guarantee that rocks will be slung around. There are stop lights on every corner of where the Dairy Queen
sits. Although, these stop lights are not like in the big city, there hung by wire. This little town is not as wealthy so they do not have lightning posts
like the ones you see in the big cities. That is okay though. These lights get the job

What Is A Place Home Essay
There is not a single place on this Earth that someone can take me that will make me feel at ease no matter how hard that person tries. The only thing
that can truly make someplace home and make me feel at ease is a place with friends, family, and a place to perform.
When I'm surrounded by family, even if it's just sharing a home cooked meal my parents or my sister and I or watching a movie whether it'd be an
action film, sci–fi or sometimes even fantasy, it brings us closer. It helps me to understand more about them. Without them, there is not a place that
would ever feel like home. There also has to friends in my life. I enjoy making meals with them, talking with them, playing games, all while surrounded
by the laughter and joy. Sometimes,...show more content...
That was also the year where I discovered I loved to sing and started acting. Then, I fifth grade, I joined one of my school bands as a percussionist.
Also, I performed the role of a school girl in the drama Jane Eyre at Hillsborough High School. In seventh grade, I got a role in the musical Guys
and Dolls Jr. Now, I'm currently in the most advanced band in our school, I've joined the school choir, and I also got roles in the drama The Hobbit
and the musical Seussical. I've almost participated in dance since I was three. I'm currently taking classes at the Flemington Health Quest for hip–hop
and jazz but I've also taken ballet, tap, and lyrical in the past. I also enjoy salsa dancing during some of my free time or at parties. In addition, to
singing, playing percussion, dancing, and acting, I've now started to take private lessons for drum set with my ex–band teacher's husband. That started
last July. In between all of this, I try to listen to music every chance I get. I listen to all sorts of genres ranging from Alternative to pop to R&B/Soul
to Rock to all sorts of Soundtracks from movies like movies like Mockingjay to musicals like Finding Neverland. Music is very important to me. In
the end, performing has been a big

Profile of a Place Essay
Separate but equal is the approach that my roommate and I took when we moved in. To keep things separate, her things are on the left and mine
are on the right. The equal part comes in if one of us wants to use something of the others (such as a nail clipper or a hair tie.) This means that
almost anything we own is open to use with permission. We decided that we didn't want to combine any of our things just yet because we didn't
know each other that well. I believe it's a good idea because it will reduce the chance of an argument over whose things are whose. Girls seem to be
pettier about their things than boys. Having two girls in such a small space can lead to unwanted confrontation and bitterness. I'm not a territorial person,

All of the red that I have overpowers her green so it's not as if we are "Decking the Halls." Another visual that may catch the eye is the cleanliness
of one side of the room compared to the other. The right side, my side, is always neat and orderly but to the left is normally a wreck. Clothes are
usually everywhere and it makes for a cluttered looking room. When a room is cluttered it looks even smaller. Sometimes when I walk through
the door her towel and dirty clothes are right in the middle of the floor. It's obvious to see that in most cases, she does not honor our "separate but
equal" rule. It's ironic that this is happening because she thought of the idea. I guess she is comfortable enough with me now to join more of our
belongings. Earlier I mentioned a little about the layout of my dorm room. Now, here is the full version. When you come into the dorm, each set
up on the right and left are basically the same. The closets are against the same wall as the door in separate corners. On top of my closet is a big
black stereo, most of the time I have some type of R&B or Neo Soul coming from the speakers. My roommate has the TV and DVD player on top of
her closet. Recently we watched the MTV Music Awards on it. Moving right along to our microwaves, which are located on separate walls, one of
them in sitting on the refrigerator and the other is on two storage bins. All of my laundry items are at the foot

Essay on Places I Have Lived
I have opinions of all the places I have lived. Each place has its advantages and disadvantages, and I am not sure if there is any place that really fits me
well. In this essay, I will examine the bad and good aspects of some of the places I have lived. Then, I will compare what I consider to be "ideal"
conditions with the good aspects of those places where I have lived. Lastly, I will choose the place that I think is best for me.
I was born in Gujarat , India , and I lived there for 9 years then I moved to America . I consider it to be my hometown. I have some bad memories

But, it was very hot in summer and freezing cold in spring. My town had so many good restaurants and shopping mall. Well, it?s up to north of
Alabama so it doesn?t have beach, however, it has rivers down there. On the Good side, this town was wide open. There was lots of space and the
natural scenery was just beautiful. Because it was not so crowded, and traffic was not a problem, there was not much pollution either. I like this
because it was easier to keep healthy.
Finally, I moved to Ventura because my family said so. They didn?t want me to do a party and all so they moved back me to Ventura . The entire
place I have lived, I think I like it here the best. It is nice here for several reasons. Because the population is not too high, there are lots of place to
visit, lots of job opportunities and less crowded transportation facilities. I am not sure of all the reasons, but I think life here is just much more exciting.
I have some problem here because my family is here so I can?t go for parties and go home late night. However I do parties because sometime I get
lonely. After living in these entire places, I think I can honestly say which characteristics are most important to me, and which ones are not so
important. I have though about this very much, and now I feel like I can rank these things in order from first to last. First of all I like to live in less
populated and clean town.

Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful Place
The sweltering breeze rushes through my fingers as I sit on the soft green grass in the park. It's such a beautiful day, the grassy plane clashes with
the sapphire sky and the sunlight illuminates the delicate area surrounding me. I quickly find myself becoming captivated by the amount of diverse
people who populate the parks space. The athletic runners, dog walkers, and adolescents hidden in their smartphones; which, astonishes me
because who knew that such a beautiful place could bring so many contrasting individuals together. I arise to my feet and began traveling down a
narrow path which aligns itself along a lengthy river, but finally converged with the parkway ahead. An elderly couple sits at the end of the path on
a wooden bench eating ice cream that slowly drizzles down their hands and onto the wedding rings that occupies their fingers. I observe the elderly
couple for a short amount of time noticing how happy and gullible they act towards each other. I slowly began to lose interest in the couple, but then
the elderly woman's ice cream starts to run onto her blouse and the aged husband runs to fetch some napkins, quickly returning with them. A melody
ringing throughout the park quickly drew my attention away from the couple and directed it to the truck that rests on the side of the road. The truck
has a window fixtured on its side where a man hands out ice cream to a long line of kids waiting. Finding myself in line, I notice a younger couple at
the very front who

As a child the most important place to me was the block in my neighborhood I grew up on. It was a particularly long and very wide street with
several pairs of incredibly tall palm trees spread throughout both sidewalks. There was no shortage of playmates; almost every other home on the
block had children around my age I could play with. There was also an older generation of teenagers that hung around together. I also had other family
members living down the street from my house on the same block. As the children played daily so did the adults. The men of the block all met daily
after work rotating from one home to another. They could be seen sitting around every...show more content...
It also made things great that our families were all close friends so our playtime was extended to trips together or while the adults wanted to come

into our pre–teen years; suddenly Michael's family decided to move out of California, just as Marco and his family did years earlier. It was a sad
time for me, but life went on and my neighborhood was still filled with young, wild, and free kids to play with. New friendships were created and
new memories were made. Although, I never found another best friend to replace Michael or Marco, I continued to build friendships and enjoyed my
time on Carondelet Street.
Everyday around 5pm the men of the neighborhood would begin to slowly gather to a neighbor's home. The objective was just to have a great time
with great people. It was a time during the day where everyone drank to unwind and get comfortable. Instead of a local bar with strangers it was with
their family and their friends. They talked about their day at work, as most of the men came straight from their jobs with some still wearing their
uniform. They sat for hours into the late evening, laughing, telling stories, and gambling by playing cards. It didn't matter if it was a weekday; it was
all about having a great time with the people who were most

An Essay On People, Places And Events
People, Places and Events: We have been at little America for a while and decided to write a little about our stay. We have met many people that
have helped us out in many different ways up here and we are grateful for their help, its helping us in ways unimaginable and we are very thankful.
We have also learned some about the different places and events around here, so it should help us out when we get a job here for a while. Overall,
we are enjoying our stay here, and we can't wait to get our camper fixed. As I mentioned, we have met many interesting people at our stay in the Little

travel and get back on the road. He has been unlike most people here, by the fact he actually shows he cares a lot about helping us.* Frederick*

motor a Ford 460 blk but it is over 200 miles away, sadly we can't go get it cause we don't have a vehicle *Adam* said he will try to in a couple
days. As you can see they have helped us out a great deal here and we are very thankful and one day we will try to repay them for their help. The
people around here have been extremely helpful and friendly. One thing I have noticed is they offer to drive you around if you need to go from
place to place, and you don't have a vehicle. On one of our trips, I discovered they have a event, a cow rodeo. They have many cow statue things
around Rock Springs, its for this event. So if you go there its pretty random to see at first, however this place is out in the West. It its pretty interesting
to see different places around Little America. There are many interesting places

use to make cake, and when ever I or my wife gets sick, we will put the eggs in boiling water for about 15 minutes, and then take the outer shell off.
Then cut it into 4 pieces and put pepper and salt on it and enjoy! Because my mother says if you are sick and eat the boiled egg, you will become

we want to get some food like cake, or tools and any other important stuff we can go out of the Island every 3 times a year to get the food, etc. Our

Essay On My Favorite Place
The cul de sac was my favorite place. I loved to ride my bike in circles and read outside by the flowers that always smelled so sweet. Cars rushed
past and I watched many pull in as time went on. It was my favorite place. The smell of food radiated from the kitchen as it does everyday my mom
cooked. I would look up from my book and watch the old man walk himself in circles around the cul de sac. I was quite young at the time so I
wasn't allowed out there too long by myself. When my mom came out to grab me she stopped and waved to our neighbor, briskly walking over to
him. She then started a lengthy conversation with him. I stayed on the grass engaged in my book and every once in awhile looking up to see my
mom in a conversation with our neighbor. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until the familiar smell of food was soon replaced with a burning
smell. I turned my head quick to see shades of red and orange ignite in the house. At the time, I was too young to comprehend the importance and
danger of what was happening. All the context clues did not seem to point out to me as danger, but I knew something was off. So, I quietly called
"Mom, mom" over and over until she heard me. She turned to me giving me a pointed look for interrupting her conversation. "Yes?" She inquired. I
slowly raised my arm up behind me and stuck my finger out at the house. Time seemed to slow down as my mom's eyes filled to the brim with fear
and the house seemed to scream out at her. I stared as my mom

The Place Where I Feel Most Comfortable
The place where I feel most comfortable is a place where I am calm. A place that is peaceful in its own ways. It is the place to go to get away from
all my troubles. It is the one place where I could sit forever, and never get tired of just staring into the deepest blue I have ever seen. Watching over
the world like an angel from heaven, looking over all the good citizens, walking freely down the sidewalk, everyone looking at me, because it's the
glory of being free. The trees thrash side to side as the wind slows and speeds up. Underground roots dive deep into the Earth's outer shell when
giant worms push through the dirt and glide across rocks and pipes. "Chirp Chirp." The bugs crawl out of their homes while other animals lay down
and fall to sleep. Crisp, red roses sprout from the grass, while gorgeous maple trees replace the old ones waiting desperately for their triumphant
return. What a great day to take a troll to the beach! The palm tree branches shake back and forth, flowing with the wind. The deep blue waves speed
toward the shore and crash onto the golden, toasted white–tan sands, darkening them to a muddy brown. Billions of tiny bubbles fill the crashing
clashing waves that splash up on the rocks, turning them snow white. Microscopic droplets of water soar through the air and sprinkle farther up the
beach. About two hundred steps away from the water, a mountain range sand dune stands dry and forever out of the oceans reach. The bulk of clouds

An Important Place In my Life
Growing up as a child, I remember looking forward to every summer vacation, when my family and I would all go to Mexico for a couple of
weeks. I remember that my dad would wake us up the day we were leaving at around 5 a.m. and we would all pack our stuff in our van. We would
head out on our way within an hour. The trip took a long time, 2 days to be exact, but when you 're little nothing really matters. You can be in a van
on a road trip for days and as long as you have something to be entertained with, time flies by fast. On our way to Mexico, I can remember my mom

Sometimes they would try to scare us so we would go to sleep. They 'd tell us stories of the "chamuco" and "la llorona". Every day was fun in
Mexico. It didn 't matter what we did, we had fun doing it. I remember all the little kids in the neighborhood would all come out of their houses at
night and meet in the street to play soccer or hide–and–seek. The worst part of going to Mexico was the day we had to leave. I remember crying so my
parents would let me stay and live in Mexico, but they would tell me no. Saying good–bye was hard, because everyone would be crying, but when we

My Favorite Place
One of my favorite places in the world that has affected my life the most is my childhood town and my home in Mobile, Alabama. I grew up in a
beige, two story house that sits on a long yard backed up to Dog River. My house is about ten minutes outside of downtown Mobile, AL and is very
close to Mobile Bay. Spending time near the water and growing up in the area that I did greatly influenced the way that I think about things and the
way that I live my life. My family has lived in them same area for generations and not many have moved away. In Jamaica Kincaid's A Small Place,
Kincaid talks about how when multiple generations grow up in the same area, they tend to become more invested and involved with the area that
they are in, growing in their appreciation for the place that they grew up. The place that I grew up in has greatly affected the person that I have
become in ways such as where my ancestors are from, how I view social issues, and my own personal identity.
My mother's family lived on the same river about a mile away, and my father's family had lived in the city for generations. The area I grew up in was
the same area that my parents and grandparents grew up in, so it is safe to say that I was greatly influenced by the area. Since I have such a deep
connection to the area I grew up in, I have developed a fondness for the river and the wildlife in it. My whole life I have loved to go fishing and skiing
on the water, or just sitting on the bank of the river to relax.

As I sit here, on the hood of my car looking out into the vast field I think to myself, why this place? Out of all the places that mean so much to me,
why does this place stand out the most? Everyone has that one spot that is special to him or her for various reasons whether it be a memory,
experience, how it makes them feel, etc. For me, my favorite place encompasses all my senses bringing them to an all time high filling me with an
overwhelming indescribable feeling. It's my sanctuary, a safe place, but above all a place to clear my mind and getaway from reality. There aren't
enough captivating words to describe the beauty of this place. In the winter, the vast field covered in a blanket of untouched glimmering snow
surrounded by bare...show more content...
I lay in the center, listening to soft music my iPod or the birds lulling me into a deep meditation. It is in this spot that I've had the deepest
conversations with myself, coming to realizations and understandings about my relationships to life, others, and me. The secluded stillness allows my
brain to freely wander, explore, and reflect deep concepts coming to profound insights that further benefit me in this crazy journey I call life. The
winds, curves, inclines, declines of the trail makes it a perfect path to jog on. The isolation from the outside world makes it easy for my mind to focus
on nothing but the task at hand – which is making it all the way around the 3–mile trail without stopping. Although, most times this doesn't happen
because I'm so taken back by the surrounding beauty. I always stop to take in the deep blue sky or the butterflies fluttering gracefully through the field
of wild flowers. But when I am running I feel virtually weightless physically and mentally. My mind is blank allowing me to become one with my
surroundings. The feeling of the cool crisp air breezing through my hair relaxes me as I intensely run to the heart pumping music blasting through my
headphones. The path winds throughout an open field into a forest where you come out by the base cemetery. Passing it constantly fills me with emotion
, carrying not only the weight for

Write An Essay On Place Identity

  • 1. Write An Essay On Place Identity Place identity is an essential concept that will be propagated this essay, therein lies its definition from environmental psychology which proposes that identities are formed in relation to surrounding environments. This concept allows us to most importantly understand why the use of physical space is essential to accentuate the idea of inclusion. The term introduced by environmental and social psychologists Proshansky, Fabian, and Kaminoff, argues that the term is a sub–structure of a person's self–identity, consisting of knowledge and feelings developed through everyday experiences with its physical spaces. A sense of place identity derives from the multiple ways where the place functions to provide belonging, form meanings, forge attachments, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay On A Perfect Place A Perfect Place? Crouched beside my father's hospital bed, I prayed for him to stay alive as he ran his trembling fingers through my soft brown curls for the last time. He focused on my big green eyes as they overflowed with salty tears and whispered: "Sabrina Jane, in no circumstance you will give up hope." Every night I lay in bed, weary of what tomorrow will bring to me and my family without my valiant father for support and protection from the oppressive world we are required to live. I am proceeding to follow in his footsteps to turn this 'utopian world' into a free space where people do not have to be watched, but first I need to get past the government. The government has everyone is fenced in with guards observing their every move, advised that there is a horrid place outside this world and to never leave since there will always be consequences for everything. Except there are always people trying to escape the interior facade of distraught, we hear that they all die from reading the Newspaper and the deafening of the rambunctious sirens that warn us of the dangers from disobeying the Mayor's laws. I hope to be the first one to withdraw the way of living I was raised to obey. When you walk into my bedroom there are stacks of thick, rough and smooth yellow paper, on all of the paper I have plans for my escape, using town sketches and machines for me to construct in order to depart from 'the perfect place'. My mother, who has blonde hair and light blue Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Staying in one place or be moving from city to city or country to another country really doesn't depend on us. If we still live with our parents then when it comes to moving we don't really have an option. Even though when it feel like if you move you will lose all of your friends, moving from city to city or house to another house is not bad at all. Moving can also bring you good stuff, like new friends, new experiences and adventures, you get to met new people and if you move from country you get to explore a new culture. Since I remember I have always moved, and never stayed in one place and live there without moving. When I was born my mom decided to move from El Paso Tx. to Chihuahua Mexico because my dad wanted to live there and...show more content... My dad was in the marine in Mexico so he wasn't always with me and my mom. One day my mom told me that my dad was going to be in Nuevo Leon for a while so we were moving with him. We moved from one state to another one, I didn't like it at all. For most people leaving those who they love is really hard. Moving and leaving all of those that have being with you since day one it's really upsetting, you try everything to find a way to stay. All of my friends were in Chihuahua and even though I wasn't born there I felt like that was home. When we got to our new house my dad was happy to see us but I was still upset about moving to another state. We stayed there for around a year and it actually came out to be really fun! I made more friends, and I was happy because my other friends were still talking to me. After that year my dad was going to the south of Mexico but we were not sure if he was going to stayed there for some time. My mom, my brother and me moved back to Chihuahua. We had to say goodbye again. It gets really hard to say bye to those who you love and those who make you happy. We moved back and then we moved again to another state and then again Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a broad place to describe, but in reality, all the towns have the same feel but different atmosphere. Pacific City is small and quiet with a great...show more content... Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless, until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a restaurant. The Oregon Coast will always hold a spot near to my heart. • 5. Essay on scary places Over the course of my life, I have encountered many eerie locations that have given me the chills. Despite all those fearful situations, only three places have ever successfully handicapped my lungs from providing oxygen to my heart. I could not begin to predict the events that would occur when I decided to visit a jail hostel, a cemetery, or a cellar. Until these visits, I have never been frozen from head to toe, unable to conduct a move. My previous hair raising experiences are practically nonexistent compared to my journey to The Ottawa Jail Hostel, the Garden Cemetery, or a friend's basement cellar. To begin, the first place that is soon going to put goose bumps on my skin is the Ottawa Jail Hostel. In order to reach the hostel I...show more content... My curiosity leads me closer and I soon find myself inside the hostel. Once inside, the scene of a hotel lobby jumps into view, although everything is beaten down as if a pack of wolves ran through. To my left, a few broken remains of the front desk lay scattered on the floor. Now, this decrepit structure sits upside down in the corner of the room. I slowly creep into the next room which leads to a stairway. Immediately, I want to explore the upper level. Suddenly, I see a strange shadow appearing from the corner of my eye. A loud crash leads me to believe the figure is in the lobby. Goosebumps appear on my neck and arms as a harsh wind blows through an open window. I scream as I run back out of the building. Panting and confused, I try to retrieve myself from a frightened state and gain control of my body once again. Therefore, the first frightening experience I have ever encountered happened at the Ottawa Jail Hostel. The second stop on my haunted journey, is to Garden Cemetery. To reach the cemetery, I start to walk through a spooky forest. This forest contains vast wisps of dead grass, fragile to a single touch. Occasional gusts of wind forces these stands of death to dance and rustle against each other. Tall trees lean in all different directions, with leaves no longer clinging to their branches. These dormant structures lurch over my body, trying to hold me captive in their distorted arms. As a result, I quicken my pace and my breath Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Describe A Place Analysis I.Introduction If you sit and look at all of the things around you that are considered to be geographical; for example, schools, houses, restaurants, landscapes, and even the streets that we walk on every day they all have a story to tell. Some of these things have been here for years and some only for months. The people that lived here before us and the people that will live here after us will all have their story to live and tell. Each place has a special meaning to that one person that maybe no one knows. There is a special place that will always be with me; it is not extravagant, but it is a place that means a lot to many people, not just me. It is a small restaurant, in the small town of Nocona, Texas, called Dairy Queen; a little place that reminds me of home. Let us take a closer look at this wonderful place that is one of the main attractions of the city of Nocona, using the five themes of geography: region, location, place, movement, and human–environmental interaction. II.General Overview Recently, we went home to see family. Home might not necessarily be where you live, but where you feel the love of your family. Home might be where you feel comfortable or at ease in the sense that you can just take that one big deep breath and let everything out and relax. When I think of that place I think of the smells, the people...show more content... Most of the roads around this building are dirt roads, but, the highways are pavement. The parking lot of the Dairy Queen in Nocona is gravel. So, when you drive in to park you can almost guarantee that rocks will be slung around. There are stop lights on every corner of where the Dairy Queen sits. Although, these stop lights are not like in the big city, there hung by wire. This little town is not as wealthy so they do not have lightning posts like the ones you see in the big cities. That is okay though. These lights get the job Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. What Is A Place Home Essay There is not a single place on this Earth that someone can take me that will make me feel at ease no matter how hard that person tries. The only thing that can truly make someplace home and make me feel at ease is a place with friends, family, and a place to perform. When I'm surrounded by family, even if it's just sharing a home cooked meal my parents or my sister and I or watching a movie whether it'd be an action film, sci–fi or sometimes even fantasy, it brings us closer. It helps me to understand more about them. Without them, there is not a place that would ever feel like home. There also has to friends in my life. I enjoy making meals with them, talking with them, playing games, all while surrounded by the laughter and joy. Sometimes,...show more content... That was also the year where I discovered I loved to sing and started acting. Then, I fifth grade, I joined one of my school bands as a percussionist. Also, I performed the role of a school girl in the drama Jane Eyre at Hillsborough High School. In seventh grade, I got a role in the musical Guys and Dolls Jr. Now, I'm currently in the most advanced band in our school, I've joined the school choir, and I also got roles in the drama The Hobbit and the musical Seussical. I've almost participated in dance since I was three. I'm currently taking classes at the Flemington Health Quest for hip–hop and jazz but I've also taken ballet, tap, and lyrical in the past. I also enjoy salsa dancing during some of my free time or at parties. In addition, to singing, playing percussion, dancing, and acting, I've now started to take private lessons for drum set with my ex–band teacher's husband. That started last July. In between all of this, I try to listen to music every chance I get. I listen to all sorts of genres ranging from Alternative to pop to R&B/Soul to Rock to all sorts of Soundtracks from movies like movies like Mockingjay to musicals like Finding Neverland. Music is very important to me. In the end, performing has been a big Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Profile of a Place Essay Separate but equal is the approach that my roommate and I took when we moved in. To keep things separate, her things are on the left and mine are on the right. The equal part comes in if one of us wants to use something of the others (such as a nail clipper or a hair tie.) This means that almost anything we own is open to use with permission. We decided that we didn't want to combine any of our things just yet because we didn't know each other that well. I believe it's a good idea because it will reduce the chance of an argument over whose things are whose. Girls seem to be pettier about their things than boys. When a room is cluttered it looks even smaller. Sometimes when I walk through the door her towel and dirty clothes are right in the middle of the floor. • 9. Essay on Places I Have Lived I have opinions of all the places I have lived. Each place has its advantages and disadvantages, and I am not sure if there is any place that really fits me well. In this essay, I will examine the bad and good aspects of some of the places I have lived. Then, I will compare what I consider to be "ideal" conditions with the good aspects of those places where I have lived. Lastly, I will choose the place that I think is best for me. I was born in Gujarat , India , and I lived there for 9 years then I moved to America . I consider it to be my hometown. I have some bad memories from there. Well, it?s up to north of Alabama so it doesn?t have beach, however, it has rivers down there. On the Good side, this town was wide open. There was lots of space and the natural scenery was just beautiful. Because it was not so crowded, and traffic was not a problem, there was not much pollution either. I like this because it was easier to keep healthy. Finally, I moved to Ventura because my family said so. They didn?t want me to do a party and all so they moved back me to Ventura . The entire place I have lived, I think I like it here the best. It is nice here for several reasons. Because the population is not too high, there are lots of place to visit, lots of job opportunities and less crowded transportation facilities. I am not sure of all the reasons, but I think life here is just much more exciting. I have some problem here because my family is here so I can?t go for parties and go home late night. However I do parties because sometime I get lonely. After living in these entire places, I think I can honestly say which characteristics are most important to me, and which ones are not so important. I have though about this very much, and now I feel like I can rank these things in order from first to last. First of all I like to live in less populated and clean town. • 10. Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful Place The sweltering breeze rushes through my fingers as I sit on the soft green grass in the park. It's such a beautiful day, the grassy plane clashes with the sapphire sky and the sunlight illuminates the delicate area surrounding me. I quickly find myself becoming captivated by the amount of diverse people who populate the parks space. The athletic runners, dog walkers, and adolescents hidden in their smartphones; which, astonishes me because who knew that such a beautiful place could bring so many contrasting individuals together. I arise to my feet and began traveling down a narrow path which aligns itself along a lengthy river, but finally converged with the parkway ahead. An elderly couple sits at the end of the path on a wooden bench eating ice cream that slowly drizzles down their hands and onto the wedding rings that occupies their fingers. I observe the elderly couple for a short amount of time noticing how happy and gullible they act towards each other. I slowly began to lose interest in the couple, but then the elderly woman's ice cream starts to run onto her blouse and the aged husband runs to fetch some napkins, quickly returning with them. A melody ringing throughout the park quickly drew my attention away from the couple and directed it to the truck that rests on the side of the road. The truck has a window fixtured on its side where a man hands out ice cream to a long line of kids waiting. Finding myself in line, I notice a younger couple at the very front who Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Essay Important Place An important place. Chris English 123 August 20, 2013 2 As a child the most important place to me was the block in my neighborhood I grew up on. It was a particularly long and very wide street with several pairs of incredibly tall palm trees spread throughout both sidewalks. There was no shortage of playmates; almost every other home on the block had children around my age I could play with. There was also an older generation of teenagers that hung around together. I also had other family members living down the street from my house on the same block. As the children played daily so did the adults. The men of the block all met daily after work rotating from one home to another. They could be seen sitting around every...show more content... It also made things great that our families were all close friends so our playtime was extended to trips together or while the adults wanted to come over for dinner. Unfortunately Marco moved away with his family when we were just 6 years old. Michael and I continued to be best friends growing up into our pre–teen years; suddenly Michael's family decided to move out of California, just as Marco and his family did years earlier. It was a sad time for me, but life went on and my neighborhood was still filled with young, wild, and free kids to play with. New friendships were created and new memories were made. Although, I never found another best friend to replace Michael or Marco, I continued to build friendships and enjoyed my time on Carondelet Street. Everyday around 5pm the men of the neighborhood would begin to slowly gather to a neighbor's home. The objective was just to have a great time with great people. It was a time during the day where everyone drank to unwind and get comfortable. Instead of a local bar with strangers it was with their family and their friends. They talked about their day at work, as most of the men came straight from their jobs with some still wearing their uniform. They sat for hours into the late evening, laughing, telling stories, and gambling by playing cards. It didn't matter if it was a weekday; it was all about having a great time with the people who were most

  • 13. An Essay On People, Places And Events People, Places and Events: We have been at little America for a while and decided to write a little about our stay. We have met many people that have helped us out in many different ways up here and we are grateful for their help, its helping us in ways unimaginable and we are very thankful. We have also learned some about the different places and events around here, so it should help us out when we get a job here for a while. Overall, we are enjoying our stay here, and we can't wait to get our camper fixed. As I mentioned, we have met many interesting people at our stay in the Little American Motel. There have been a few that are difficult to get along with, but most of the people here are very helpful. For example, the guy who towed...show more content... There is also another person *Frederick* who is gonna help us get our motor working so we can travel and get back on the road. He has been unlike most people here, by the fact he actually shows he cares a lot about helping us.* Frederick* said that he would buy our generator off us, even though its not working. So that will save us a little on buying a motor. We found a very nice motor a Ford 460 blk but it is over 200 miles away, sadly we can't go get it cause we don't have a vehicle *Adam* said he will try to in a couple days. As you can see they have helped us out a great deal here and we are very thankful and one day we will try to repay them for their help. The people around here have been extremely helpful and friendly. One thing I have noticed is they offer to drive you around if you need to go from place to place, and you don't have a vehicle. On one of our trips, I discovered they have a event, a cow rodeo. They have many cow statue things around Rock Springs, its for this event. So if you go there its pretty random to see at first, however this place is out in the West. It its pretty interesting to see different places around Little America. I want couple of cows because this will supply us milk, which we can convert them to butter, cheese, and ghee. Then cut it into 4 pieces and put pepper and salt on it and enjoy! Because my mother says if you are sick and eat the boiled egg, you will become better and back to normal. The chickens will have that 15 piece of land. The remaining 2 to 3 acres will be our house, next to the beach where we can hear the sounds and the smell of the ocean and the tide kicks in and out. Next to our house we will have a plane. I need that plane so whenever we want to get some food like cake, or tools and any other important stuff we can go out of the Island every 3 times a year to get the food, etc. Our house will be 2 floors and will be exactly like a cabin that you see in forest. We will have a chimney to keep the house warm. We get our water supply from a spring nearby. We can purify that water if we want. We use the spring water and use it as an everyday bathing water. • 15. Essay On My Favorite Place The cul de sac was my favorite place. I loved to ride my bike in circles and read outside by the flowers that always smelled so sweet. Cars rushed past and I watched many pull in as time went on. It was my favorite place. The smell of food radiated from the kitchen as it does everyday my mom cooked. I would look up from my book and watch the old man walk himself in circles around the cul de sac. I was quite young at the time so I wasn't allowed out there too long by myself. When my mom came out to grab me she stopped and waved to our neighbor, briskly walking over to him. She then started a lengthy conversation with him. I stayed on the grass engaged in my book and every once in awhile looking up to see my mom in a conversation with our neighbor. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until the familiar smell of food was soon replaced with a burning smell. I turned my head quick to see shades of red and orange ignite in the house. At the time, I was too young to comprehend the importance and danger of what was happening. All the context clues did not seem to point out to me as danger, but I knew something was off. So, I quietly called "Mom, mom" over and over until she heard me. She turned to me giving me a pointed look for interrupting her conversation. "Yes?" She inquired. I slowly raised my arm up behind me and stuck my finger out at the house. Time seemed to slow down as my mom's eyes filled to the brim with fear and the house seemed to scream out at her. I stared as my mom Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. The Place Where I Feel Most Comfortable The place where I feel most comfortable is a place where I am calm. A place that is peaceful in its own ways. It is the place to go to get away from all my troubles. It is the one place where I could sit forever, and never get tired of just staring into the deepest blue I have ever seen. Watching over the world like an angel from heaven, looking over all the good citizens, walking freely down the sidewalk, everyone looking at me, because it's the glory of being free. The trees thrash side to side as the wind slows and speeds up. Underground roots dive deep into the Earth's outer shell when giant worms push through the dirt and glide across rocks and pipes. "Chirp Chirp." The bugs crawl out of their homes while other animals lay down and fall to sleep. Crisp, red roses sprout from the grass, while gorgeous maple trees replace the old ones waiting desperately for their triumphant return. What a great day to take a troll to the beach! The palm tree branches shake back and forth, flowing with the wind. The deep blue waves speed toward the shore and crash onto the golden, toasted white–tan sands, darkening them to a muddy brown. Billions of tiny bubbles fill the crashing clashing waves that splash up on the rocks, turning them snow white. Microscopic droplets of water soar through the air and sprinkle farther up the beach. About two hundred steps away from the water, a mountain range sand dune stands dry and forever out of the oceans reach. The bulk of clouds float by Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. An Important Place In my Life Growing up as a child, I remember looking forward to every summer vacation, when my family and I would all go to Mexico for a couple of weeks. I remember that my dad would wake us up the day we were leaving at around 5 a.m. and we would all pack our stuff in our van. We would head out on our way within an hour. The trip took a long time, 2 days to be exact, but when you 're little nothing really matters. You can be in a van on a road trip for days and as long as you have something to be entertained with, time flies by fast. On our way to Mexico, I can remember my mom and dad pointing out things along the road to keep us entertained for a while. They would ask me how it was, and I 'd tell them that it was not that different from Mexico. I would tell them about the malls we had and they would have an expression on their face as if I were telling them a fairy tale. They imagined every house in the U.S. to be 2 stories high with huge pools, but I told them that not all houses were like that. Sometimes my aunts would sit with us and tell us stories of when they were little. Sometimes they would try to scare us so we would go to sleep. They 'd tell us stories of the "chamuco" and "la llorona". Every day was fun in Mexico. It didn 't matter what we did, we had fun doing it. I remember all the little kids in the neighborhood would all come out of their houses at night and meet in the street to play soccer or hide–and–seek. The worst part of going to Mexico was the day we had to leave. I remember crying so my parents would let me stay and live in Mexico, but they would tell me no. Saying good–bye was hard, because everyone would be crying, but when we did say good–bye, it was off to the road again. Another 2 days to get home. The first few hours of the trip I would be crying, because I missed my little cousins, but after a while I would forget and things would be back to normal. My dad would stop at different places so we would get entertained and forget about Mexico. The last time I went to Mexico was about a year and a half ago. We went Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. My Favorite Place One of my favorite places in the world that has affected my life the most is my childhood town and my home in Mobile, Alabama. I grew up in a beige, two story house that sits on a long yard backed up to Dog River. My house is about ten minutes outside of downtown Mobile, AL and is very close to Mobile Bay. Spending time near the water and growing up in the area that I did greatly influenced the way that I think about things and the way that I live my life. My family has lived in them same area for generations and not many have moved away. In Jamaica Kincaid's A Small Place, Kincaid talks about how when multiple generations grow up in the same area, they tend to become more invested and involved with the area that they are in, growing in their appreciation for the place that they grew up. The place that I grew up in has greatly affected the person that I have become in ways such as where my ancestors are from, how I view social issues, and my own personal identity. My mother's family lived on the same river about a mile away, and my father's family had lived in the city for generations. The area I grew up in was the same area that my parents and grandparents grew up in, so it is safe to say that I was greatly influenced by the area. Since I have such a deep connection to the area I grew up in, I have developed a fondness for the river and the wildlife in it. My whole life I have loved to go fishing and skiing on the water, or just sitting on the bank of the river to relax. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
