INFORMATION SYSTEMS INTERNSHIP
Fiserv, Inc. is a leader in financial services technology.
Fiserv enables clients to achieve best-in-class results by
driving quality and innovation in payments, processing
services, risk and compliance, customer and channel
management, and business insights and optimization.
I did my Fall Internship with The Biller Solutions division
at Fiserv as a Project Coordinator Intern and worked
closely with 2 managers on 2 different projects.
One project involved coordinating the pre-deployment
and post-deployment testing of products for various
Billers. Excel spreadsheet, MS SharePoint, MS Project
and Clarity were primarily used.
The second project involved supervising the execution
of code migration deployments and Biller migration
from SEM(System Event Manager) to AutoSys.
INTRODUCTION
OBJECTIVE
1. Learnt the concept of playbook, CRQ # (change request
number) generated for each deployment, CAB (change
acceptance board) processes and VSS ( compiling process)
2. Followed the playbook for processing the flow of code
migration deployment. It is a key document which
contains all the necessary information required for
coordinating the code and migration deployments. IT
defines the sequence of steps to be followed in order to
have a successful deployment.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS & CONCLUSION
6. So far the transition has been challenging but we have
been able to achieve considerable success. By the end of
the year, the Project Management Team of Biller
Solutions would be able to reach a 90 day goal to setup a
product for our clients.

3. Learnt the change process flow which includes the
following elements:
• Can only be submitted with a Change template that
has been approved by the Change Control
Management Team
• The tasks are well known, documented and proven
(repeatable)
• Authority is effectively given in advance (pre-
approval)
• The risk is usually low and always well understood
4. Because Standard changes are “pre-approved” and
repeatable changes they only require a peer review to
be completed prior to implementation
5. If there is a requirement for an additional groups
resource the lead time for submitting these changes is
the prior day before 3pm Eastern
