1. The story of Bare Root began in 2007 when Angela spent 6 months living outside the US for the
first time. She lived in a rural town high in the mountains of Honduras. She spent most of her days
teaching english classes. Because of the new environment, little did she know that though the trip was
thrilling and exciting, it was dangerous to her health.
The effect on her health was significant. Thanks to a sever bout of gastroenteritis, she came
home with a fairly severe parasite infection and a host of accompanying issues due to the poor
sanitation where I lived. She once considered herself to be relatively healthy and fit. But this experience
allowed her to explore different dietary options to better suit her needs and lifestyle. She now follows a
Paleo diet and hasnt looked back ever since. In this episode., Angela shares with us her incredible
journey and how she has incorporated Paleo into her lifestyle.
