What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
A
story was shared of an old
man who wanted to spade
his potato garden, but
owing to his old age, he could not.
His only son, who would have
helped him out, was in prison. The
old man wrote a letter to his son
and mentioned his predicament.
“Dear Son, It’s unfortunate you
are no longer here with me to help
out because it looks like I won’t
be able to plant my potato garden
this year. I hate to miss doing
the garden because your mother
always loved planting time. I’m
just getting too old to be digging
up a garden plot. If you were here,
it would have been easier because
I know you would dig the plot for
me, any ways, hope is not lost. I’ll
be doing the little I can till your
release. Love Dad.
S
hortly after, the old man
received a telegram which
says: ‘For Heaven’s sake,
Dad, don’t dig up the garden!
That’s where I buried the guns!’
At very early the next morning,
a dozen of detectives and local
police officers showed up and
dug up the entire garden without
finding any guns. Confused,
the old man wrote another note
to his son telling him what had
happened, and asked if truly he
hid any gun but the son reply was:
‘Go ahead and plant your potatoes,
Dad. It’s the best and only way I
thought i could help you out even
while I’m in detention.’
M
oral: Never allow
circumstance to limit
you in any way, no
matter how tight the situation may
be.
O
ne of the most
unacceptable words in
the corporate world is
‘Comfort Zone’. Some people
may look forward to it but nobody
accepts this. Because ‘comfort
zone’ seems to be synonymous
with laziness, laid back attitude
etc. Many a times we are not able
to differentiate between comfort
zone and safety zone.
We all are in a competitive world
and here everybody is trying to
outdotheother.Competitiveworld
encourages words like aggression,
differentiation, growth etc. There
is nothing wrong in it.
What is wrong then? The way
we understand the ‘comfort zone’
is wrong. Comfort zone is not
always comfortable as per popular
perception. In competitive
scenario where growth is the
objective there is a thin line
difference between comfort zone
and safety zone.
Safety zone is where you can be
safe; not necessarily comfortable.
Mountaineers understand this
effectively. They know their
safety zone very well. They know
that even if they would like to go
forward, even though they want
to achieve their goals yet they
need to stick to their safety zone.
No matter how uncomfortable it
may be but they know that leaving
the safety zone is dangerous. It
can sabotage the whole journey.
So they stay in their safety zone
till the right time comes. Once the
right time comes, dangers are not
life threatening they resume their
journey.
Organizations and individuals
must know the thin line difference
between comfort zone and safety
zone. A detailed appreciation
and understanding of your safety
zone can be instrumental for
exceptional growth in the long
term.

Becoming Happy To Being
Happy
S
adhguru Jaggi Vasudev (an
Indian mystic) often tells a
joke to emphasize on the
importance of right philosophy to
lead life. I am sure you will enjoy
reading it. It gives us a message
which we should always remem-
ber.
It once happened, on a certain
day, a bull and a pleasant were
grazing on the field. The bull was
grazing on the grass, the pheas-
ant was picking ticks off the bull;
they were partners, you know?
Then the pheasant looked at a
huge tree which was at the edge
of the field. The bull was grazing
on the grass and very nostalgi-
cally said, “Alas, there was a time
when I could fly to top most of
the branch of the tree, but today
I do not have the enough strength
to fly even to the first branch of
the tree.
The bull very nonchalantly said,
“That’s no problem! Eat a little
bit of my dung every day, you
will see; within a fortnight, you
will reach the top of the tree.”
The pheasant said, “Oh, come of
it! How is that possible?”
The bull replied, “Really, just try
and see it yourself. The whole
humanity is on it, you could try,
too.”
Very hesitantly, the pheasant
started pecking at the dung, on the
very first day it reached the first
branch of the tree. In a fortnight’s
time, it reached the topmost
branch of the tree. It just went
and sat on the branch and enjoyed
the scenery. The old farmer saw a
fat old pheasant on the top of the
tree. He took his shotgun and shot
the pheasant off the tree.
Moral of the story is that even
bullshit can get you to the top, but
never lets you stay there for long.
So, if you are seeking a life of ful-
filment, joy, peace and wellbeing
within yourself, don’t try to fool
yourself in some way. You must
do the right things, otherwise it
won’t work.
Choices - Alisha JainExcerpts from Suresh Semwal’s Book -‘WOW In Life’
A
Business Man having
no child, no money, no
home, a blind mother,
prays to God.
God happy with his prays, grants
him only ONE wish!
Business Man : I want my mother
to see my wife putting Diamond
bangles on my Child’s hands in
our new home!
God : Damn !!! I still have a lot
to learn from these Businessmen.
Lessons learnt from the above
story :- Compile all requirements
and present in one line rather than
boring the appraiser for a long
time.

Being Creative and Innovating Ourselves - Alisha Jain
C
reativity and Innovation
are the hot buzz words
these days and every other
day, we hear or read a lot about
the technological boom through
creativity and innovation to meet
the needs of the fast changing
world.
Here we need to ask ourselves
why we always tend to think about
creativity and innovation to bring
the change in the world and not in
ourselves. It may sound difficult
or different to you, but it’s very
simple, some somersaults and
twists in your thinking pattern
may help us to be more creative
and innovative with ourselves.
There is no second thought that we
all at some point of time get stuck
in our life and bound ourselves
because we start presuming that
this is the only way of living our
life. Here we need to understand
that, as today’s world is changing
and needing the renewal or
correction of errors. In the same
manner, we also need a complete
new approach, pattern or a fresh
perspective for living our life and
doing the things.
No doubt many people dream of
life-changingpersonalinnovation,
but never take the necessary steps
or actions to make it happen and
reasons can be many. Sometimes
family circumstances or the
fear of risk that stops them. And
that’s very unfortunate when we
look back in our lives and have a
regret, “why I haven’t tried new
things in my life”.
Recently, I came across an
article on Facebook where three
ladies went on a journey of
their lifetime. The trio drove 17
different countries from New
Delhi to London in 97 days with
the aim to create the awareness of
women empowerment. They not
only dared to give wings to their
childhood dream but also took
the right action that leads them to
innovate their own life in a better
way. And this is only possible
when we become fearless to
attempt something different and
unique every time like a child
who fearlessly explore, play and
express themselves.
So, are you ready for your first
step to be creative and innovative
with yourself?
Be Optimistic!!
God is not present in idols. Your feelings are your god. The soul is your temple.

  • 2. LEARN WITH FUN  DEC 2015  WWW.POSSIBLERS.COM What’s something you know you do differently than most people? A story was shared of an old man who wanted to spade his potato garden, but owing to his old age, he could not. His only son, who would have helped him out, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and mentioned his predicament. “Dear Son, It’s unfortunate you are no longer here with me to help out because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my potato garden this year. I hate to miss doing the garden because your mother always loved planting time. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, it would have been easier because I know you would dig the plot for me, any ways, hope is not lost. I’ll be doing the little I can till your release. Love Dad. S hortly after, the old man received a telegram which says: ‘For Heaven’s sake, Dad, don’t dig up the garden! That’s where I buried the guns!’ At very early the next morning, a dozen of detectives and local police officers showed up and dug up the entire garden without finding any guns. Confused, the old man wrote another note to his son telling him what had happened, and asked if truly he hid any gun but the son reply was: ‘Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad. It’s the best and only way I thought i could help you out even while I’m in detention.’ M oral: Never allow circumstance to limit you in any way, no matter how tight the situation may be. O ne of the most unacceptable words in the corporate world is ‘Comfort Zone’. Some people may look forward to it but nobody accepts this. Because ‘comfort zone’ seems to be synonymous with laziness, laid back attitude etc. Many a times we are not able to differentiate between comfort zone and safety zone. We all are in a competitive world and here everybody is trying to outdotheother.Competitiveworld encourages words like aggression, differentiation, growth etc. There is nothing wrong in it. What is wrong then? The way we understand the ‘comfort zone’ is wrong. Comfort zone is not always comfortable as per popular perception. In competitive scenario where growth is the objective there is a thin line difference between comfort zone and safety zone. Safety zone is where you can be safe; not necessarily comfortable. Mountaineers understand this effectively. They know their safety zone very well. They know that even if they would like to go forward, even though they want to achieve their goals yet they need to stick to their safety zone. No matter how uncomfortable it may be but they know that leaving the safety zone is dangerous. It can sabotage the whole journey. So they stay in their safety zone till the right time comes. Once the right time comes, dangers are not life threatening they resume their journey. Organizations and individuals must know the thin line difference between comfort zone and safety zone. A detailed appreciation and understanding of your safety zone can be instrumental for exceptional growth in the long term. The Story of an Old Man The‘Comfort Zone’Confusion! - By Tapas Dasmohapatra
  • 3. LEARN WITH FUN  DEC 2015  WWW.POSSIBLERS.COM Time perfects men as well as destroys them. - Chanakya Becoming Happy To Being Happy S adhguru Jaggi Vasudev (an Indian mystic) often tells a joke to emphasize on the importance of right philosophy to lead life. I am sure you will enjoy reading it. It gives us a message which we should always remem- ber. It once happened, on a certain day, a bull and a pleasant were grazing on the field. The bull was grazing on the grass, the pheas- ant was picking ticks off the bull; they were partners, you know? Then the pheasant looked at a huge tree which was at the edge of the field. The bull was grazing on the grass and very nostalgi- cally said, “Alas, there was a time when I could fly to top most of the branch of the tree, but today I do not have the enough strength to fly even to the first branch of the tree. The bull very nonchalantly said, “That’s no problem! Eat a little bit of my dung every day, you will see; within a fortnight, you will reach the top of the tree.” The pheasant said, “Oh, come of it! How is that possible?” The bull replied, “Really, just try and see it yourself. The whole humanity is on it, you could try, too.” Very hesitantly, the pheasant started pecking at the dung, on the very first day it reached the first branch of the tree. In a fortnight’s time, it reached the topmost branch of the tree. It just went and sat on the branch and enjoyed the scenery. The old farmer saw a fat old pheasant on the top of the tree. He took his shotgun and shot the pheasant off the tree. Moral of the story is that even bullshit can get you to the top, but never lets you stay there for long. So, if you are seeking a life of ful- filment, joy, peace and wellbeing within yourself, don’t try to fool yourself in some way. You must do the right things, otherwise it won’t work. • 4. LEARN WITH FUN  DEC 2015  WWW.POSSIBLERS.COM Even if a snake is not poisonous, it should pretend to be venomous. - Chanakya Being Creative and Innovating Ourselves - Alisha Jain C reativity and Innovation are the hot buzz words these days and every other day, we hear or read a lot about the technological boom through creativity and innovation to meet the needs of the fast changing world. Here we need to ask ourselves why we always tend to think about creativity and innovation to bring the change in the world and not in ourselves. It may sound difficult or different to you, but it’s very simple, some somersaults and twists in your thinking pattern may help us to be more creative and innovative with ourselves. There is no second thought that we all at some point of time get stuck in our life and bound ourselves because we start presuming that this is the only way of living our life. Here we need to understand that, as today’s world is changing and needing the renewal or correction of errors. In the same manner, we also need a complete new approach, pattern or a fresh perspective for living our life and doing the things. No doubt many people dream of life-changingpersonalinnovation, but never take the necessary steps or actions to make it happen and reasons can be many. Sometimes family circumstances or the fear of risk that stops them. And that’s very unfortunate when we look back in our lives and have a regret, “why I haven’t tried new things in my life”. Recently, I came across an article on Facebook where three ladies went on a journey of their lifetime. The trio drove 17 different countries from New Delhi to London in 97 days with the aim to create the awareness of women empowerment. They not only dared to give wings to their childhood dream but also took the right action that leads them to innovate their own life in a better way. And this is only possible when we become fearless to attempt something different and unique every time like a child who fearlessly explore, play and express themselves. So, are you ready for your first step to be creative and innovative with yourself? Be Optimistic!!
