Financial Meltdown According to the Central Intelligence Agency's (CIA's) World Factbook (2010) , after the United States surpassed Japan in 2001, China became the world's largest exporter and stood as the second-largest economy in the world in 2010. For centuries, China stood as a leading civilization, outpacing the rest of the world in the arts and sciences, but in the nineteenth and the early twentieth centuries, the country was beset by civil unrest, major famines, military defeats, and foreign occupation. Communists under Mao Zedong established an autocratic socialist system after World War II that while ensuring China's sovereignty, imposed strict controls over everyday life and cost the lives of tens of millions of people. Mao's successor in 1978, Deng Xiaoping, and other leaders that followed shifted focus to market-oriented economic development. 1 Introduction
Neoliberalism emerged in the late 1970s as a new policy framework to guide
the development orientation in not only the South but also the North
and the East. In the 1990s neoliberalism found expression in the so-called
Washington Consensus as a way of articulating the economic orthodoxy
that prevailed in the U.S. Treasury Department, the World Bank, and the
IMF. Beeson and Islam (2005, 4) point out that neoliberalism and the
Washington Consensus are meant to favour the unfettered operation of
the market and to roll back the reach of the state. The states, in both rich
and poor nations, have been urged to embrace “macroeconomic prudence”
(a euphemism for control of inflation and for maintaining tight budgets),
deregulation, privatisation, trade and financial liberalisation, lower taxes,
and small government.
However, much assessment of the impact of neoliberalism on develop-
ment over the past three decades has been negative. William Tabb (2003,
25), for instance, claims that neoliberalism has failed in term of its own
goals. “It has not brought more rapid economic growth, reduced poverty, or
made economies more stable. In fact, over the years of neoliberal hegemony,
growth has slowed, poverty has increased, and economic and financial
crises have been epidemic.”
Talking about specific regions, Beeson and Islam (2005, 6) also endorse
the viewpoint that neoliberalism has failed to promote development in
Latin America and East European countries:
Latin America represents a case of “reforms without results”. Despite ●
decades of reforms, there is more poverty in Latin America in 2005 than
in 1980, real wages are barely equal to those of 1980, and inequality
remains persistent and conspicuously high.

Neoliberalism emerged in the late 1970s as a new policy framework to guide

Between 1911 and 1978, China experienced significant political and economic changes:
1) After the fall of the Qing dynasty in 1911, China established a republic but experienced political instability, civil war, and invasion by Japan until 1949.
2) In 1949, Mao Zedong established the People's Republic of China and instituted communist policies like collectivization that caused famine and over 65 million deaths.

The Ten Year Cultural Revolution

China
China emerged from the Second World War with some serious issues. First, it had suffered through the war. Remember, the Japanese invaded China in 1937. Secondly, it had already been fighting a Civil War for many years. From 1912 until the Japanese invaded in 1937, China had been suffering with a good deal of internal strife. Once the Emperor had been deposed, China had been trying to create a cohesive state. However, due to the ravages of Colonialism and poor governmental policies for about 100 years, instead of segueing into a western style democracy such as Japan (Dr. Sun Yat Sen’s dream), there was a corrupt crony capitalism with a somewhat democratic leadership, that had to deal with extreme poverty, and regional warlords.
While trying to make order out of this chaos, this government was then presented with a growing Communist party threat. Under the leadership of Mao Zedong, the Chinese Communists were a new breed. Mocked by the Russians because even Stalin believed that you couldn’t have a communist revolution in such a poor, peasant, non-industrial society, Mao was undeterred and began a decades-long campaign to “win the hearts and minds of the people” – mostly the peasants. This was the beginning of what we now call 4th generation warfare (guerrilla warfare, small bands attacking targets, terrorism). Mao befriended villages, won their hearts, attacked the Chinese Nationalists and then disappeared into the villages. This “war” went on for about 10 years until the Japanese invaded – in fact, it was one reason that the Japanese were able to attack China so successfully.
During the Second World War, the Communists and the Nationalists made an uneasy truce called the United Front. The idea was to team up to defeat the Japanese and then figure out the government. Mao greatly benefited from this truce. He managed to get the Nationalists to stop attacking him, and to concentrate on the Japanese. Meanwhile, he spent very little effort at attacking the Japanese but continued building up his strength and winning over new converts. Thus by 1945, when the Japanese were defeated, Mao was in a very strong position from a large majority of popular support.
History and Geography
China is one of the oldest civilizations on earth. The land area is roughly equivalent to the U.S, but there are about 1.4 billion residents. It is bordered on the north with Mongolia and Russia (the Soviet Union during almost all of the Twentieth Century), on the west with India, Nepal and Myanmar (Burma), on the south-west with Vietnam, Laos, on the south with the China Sea and the Philippines and Taiwan in the China Sea, on the Northeast with Korea, on the east with the East China Sea and Yellow Sea with Japan in the Yellow Sea (across from Korea).

China
China emerged from the Second World War with some serious issues. First, it had suffered through the war. Remember, the Japanese invaded China in 1937. Secondly, it had already been fighting a Civil War for many years. From 1912 until the Japanese invaded in 1937, China had been suffering with a good deal of internal strife. Once the Emperor had been deposed, China had been trying to create a cohesive state. However, due to the ravages of Colonialism and poor governmental policies for about 100 years, instead of segueing into a western style democracy such as Japan (Dr. Sun Yat Sen’s dream), there was a corrupt crony capitalism with a somewhat democratic leadership, that had to deal with extreme poverty, and regional warlords.
While trying to make order out of this chaos, this government was then presented with a growing Communist party threat. Under the leadership of Mao Zedong, the Chinese Communists were a new breed. Mocked by the Russians because even Stalin believed that you couldn’t have a communist revolution in such a poor, peasant, non-industrial society, Mao was undeterred and began a decades-long campaign to “win the hearts and minds of the people” – mostly the peasants. This was the beginning of what we now call 4th generation warfare (guerrilla warfare, small bands attacking targets, terrorism). Mao befriended villages, won their hearts, attacked the Chinese Nationalists and then disappeared into the villages. This “war” went on for about 10 years until the Japanese invaded – in fact, it was one reason that the Japanese were able to attack China so successfully.
During the Second World War, the Communists and the Nationalists made an uneasy truce called the United Front. The idea was to team up to defeat the Japanese and then figure out the government. Mao greatly benefited from this truce. He managed to get the Nationalists to stop attacking him, and to concentrate on the Japanese. Meanwhile, he spent very little effort at attacking the Japanese but continued building up his strength and winning over new converts. Thus by 1945, when the Japanese were defeated, Mao was in a very strong position from a large majority of popular support.
History and Geography
China is one of the oldest civilizations on earth. The land area is roughly equivalent to the U.S, but there are about 1.4 billion residents. It is bordered on the north with Mongolia and Russia (the Soviet Union during almost all of the Twentieth Century), on the west with India, Nepal and Myanmar (Burma), on the south-west with Vietnam, Laos, on the south with the China Sea and the Philippines and Taiwan in the China Sea, on the Northeast with Korea, on the east with the East China Sea and Yellow Sea with Japan in the Yellow Sea (across from Korea).

Main Idea: Every paragraph should have one main idea. If you find that your paragraphs have more than one main idea, separate your paragraphs so that each has only one main point. The idea behind a paragraph is to introduce an idea and expand upon it. If you veer off into a new topic, begin a new paragraph.
Evidence or Examples: Your main idea needs support, either in the form of evidence that buttresses your argument or examples that explain your idea. If you don’t have any evidence or examples to support your main idea, your idea may not be strong enough to warrant a complete paragraph. In this case, reevaluate your idea and see whether you need even to keep it in the paper.
Analysis: Analysis is the heart of academic writing. While your readers want to see evidence or examples of your idea, the real “meat” of your idea is your interpretation of your evidence or examples: how you break them apart, compare them to other ideas, use them to build a persuasive case, demonstrate their strengths or weaknesses, and so on. Analysis is especially important if your evidence (E) is a quote from another author. Always follow a quote with your analysis of the quote, demonstrating how that quote helps you to make your case. company a global transportation leader. His moving assembly line for manufacturing was to revolutionize the auto industry.
In July 1919, the Ford family bought out all nonfamily shareholders, making them the sole owners of the company. Ever since, all Ford Company Chairmen/CEOs have been direct descendants of Henry Ford. It is the fifth largest family-owned business in the world. Today, Ford remains one the world’s top automobile companies. In 1927, Chevrolet surpassed Ford in the number of cars sold, and a rivalry continued for the next 100 years. The Ford Focus was the world’s bestselling automobile in 2013.
The Ford Company mission also known as the vision statement is “People working together as a lean, global enterprise to make people’s lives better through automotive and
mobility leadership.” Today, Bill Ford is Executive Chairman; under his leadership, the company was named the Best Global Green Brand among all companies in the world in 2014, and one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the eighth year in a row in March 2017.
In 2017, Mark Fields was forced out as CEO, after a 40 percent drop in share price over the past three years. Chairman Bill Ford immediately appointed Jim Hackett to replace him. Prior to this appointment, Hackett served as Chairman of the Ford Smart Mobility LLC subsidiary. Hackett’s growth strategy is to take the carmaker from conventional production to new kinds of vehicles and new advanced manufacturing processes that include ridesharing and

A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

For centuries, China stood as a leading civilization, outpacing the rest of the world in the arts and sciences, but in the nineteenth and the early twentieth centuries, the country was beset by civil unrest, major famines, military defeats, and foreign occupation. Communists under Mao Zedong established an autocratic socialist system after World War II that while ensuring China's sovereignty, imposed strict controls over everyday life and cost the lives of tens of millions of people. Mao's successor in 1978, Deng Xiaoping, and other leaders that followed shifted focus to market-oriented economic development. Since the early 1990s, China has increased its global outreach and participation in international organizations. By the turn of the 21st century, China's economic output had quadrupled. Living standards have improved dramatically for much of the population making room for personal choice expansion.
