Factory Calibration
All the Polludrone sensors are
calibrated by our sensor
manufacturing partner before leaving
the factory. All the sensors are kept
under lab condition and calibrated
with Pure (Zero) Air and with
calibration gas (between 1-100 PPM
depending on the sensor range).
Lab Calibration
Equipments are calibrated with pure air and
calibration gases with high range concentration
in clean and controlled lab environment. All the
fine tuning is done in the configuration if
required. The typical high range concentration
ranges between 1-10 PPM and standard flow
rate is kept at 0.5 L/min.
Collocation Calibration
Wherever the customer has an access of
the reference grade monitoring system, we
deploy our sensor based system side-by-

Cleaning: Periodic cleaning is important to ensure optimum device performance. Monthly
or quarterly regular maintenance activity has to be carried out depending upon the
surrounding. The activity includes cleaning the dome for the light sensor, air inlet, and
outlet mesh & general cleaning of the exterior.
Sensor Replacement: Every sensor has a limited life span. The sensor life depends on the
average pollutant concentration in the area. The sensors need to be replaced once their
performance starts to deteriorate and the system starts giving unstable data.
Spot-Calibration: The frequency of calibration is decided based on atmospheric conditions
and individual sensor drift to ensure data accuracy. Spot calibration can be performed
using reference equipment which can also be a recently calibrated Oizom device.
Diagnosis/Debugging: Power and network availability are the prime check in case of
equipment failure. If the issue is still unresolved after remote diagnosis, on-site
troubleshooting can be planned by an engineer.

Problem
Mining and quarrying activities contribute to dust emissions
from periodic explosions and heavy transportation vehicles.
Many industrial processes emit particulate matter mainly
mineral, metallic and wooden dust. This phenomenon worsens
air quality and increases the cases of respiratory ailments like
asthma, bronchitis, etc.
Construction activities are also one of the major sources of
airborne particles. It produces particles like metallic, gravel and
concrete dust. In addition, DG sets and loading vehicles around
the site emit gaseous pollutants like NO2 and SO2, which can
form nitrate and sulphate particles. This attributes to the

particulate matter, i.e. PM1, PM2.5, PM10, PM100 is
done in real-time.

Industrial Dust Monitoring for JCB Manufacturing Plant, Pune
Heavy welding, metal cutting, and buffing activities inside
the JCB manufacturing plant generate high amounts of
PM2.5 & PM10 (exceeding 300 ug/m3). The situation
demanded air quality monitoring and suppression of
pollutants. Oizom deployed DustroidTM to monitor real-
time dust particle generation within the facility. The

Air Quality Monitoring at GMR Thermal Power Plant, Warora, Maharashtra
Coal, fly ash, and secondary particles emitted from
thermal power plants contribute to more than 30% of
PM2.5 generation in India. To meet the emission
standards, the GMR Warora thermal plant needed to
monitor and reduce the pollutants generated by stacking
and moving of raw materials. Oizom PolludroneTM was
installed to identify and monitor the ambient pollution
level. The solution assisted in the automation of the air
purifiers for suppressing the particulate pollution.
